  1. I'll make the water dark, but I don't think the water would be red, though. Mostly because the brown dwarf doesn't emit light, because it's just a glorified gas giant. Also, the red/orange/magenta light would make it seem red, but it's actually still blue.
  2. It's a different solar system, but it's supposed to be a binary twin to Kerbol, so techincally no.
  3. THIS MOD ADDS A BROWN DWARF, 4 PLANETS AND 2 MOONS. MORE WILL LIKELY COME IN THE FUTURE. TRANCE: Trance is a small, T7V type brown dwarf with 17 Jool masses. it has three planets, one hosts black plant life. This dwarf wasn't discovered until recently, and it seems to orbit Kerbol in a binary relationship. (Based off Nemesis) PATHOS: Pathos is a strange little planet, because it orbits Trance in a retrograde orbit. The orbit is very likely kept stable by it's massive planetary neighbor, Zenith. ZENITH: Zenith is a huge planet, much bigger than Eve itself. Zenith is about 900km in radius, much bigger than any rocky planet in the Kerbol system. It has mostly ocean, but has a small area of land created by an impact, and the life on this land is almost completely black. GELID: Gelid is Trance's only moon, and it isn't that big. It's only about half the size of Jool, and only has one moon, and that moon is grey and dead. CORONA: Corona is grey and dead, not unlike all the planets and the only other moon besides Zenith. It has lots of craters like the Mun, but it does have a unique feature, and that is that it has clusters of tall mountains that are difficult to land on. DEMENTIA: Dementia is like Dres. Nobody really cares about it, but it is the farthest planet from Trance. So that's a plus, I guess. EXTUS: Extus is the only moon in the Trance system, so it's obviously the largest moon. It has lots of orange on it's surface, so we almost named it Oranj! There are many conspiracy theorists that believe the orange areas of Extus taste like oranges. 4. You should add the other four "stars". PLEASE. I just want seven solar systems, so Kerbol can be a septuple system!
  5. Make Dres 10x smaller than Ceres. It's more than twice that size, so it's not very realistic. So if you can, please make it about the size of Minmus.
  6. I have an idea (that probably will never happen anyways. ) You should add an Eris analogue, it would make for a nice challenge to get to, because it would be so far away! I also noticed that each planet farther from Kerbol has less moons than the last, Sarnus has 5, Urlum has 4, Neidon has 2, Plock has 1, so this dwarf planet would have no moons. It's fine if you don't add this, this is just my opinion for what I want in this mod.
  7. Moons! They're so adorable, especially the small ones, because you can pack them in a tighter area, so you can have more! Anyway, I think stock moons for Eeloo and Dres are definitely needed, maybe a 2016 HO3 analogue would be nice, and maybe a small, close in satellite for Moho, and also a small asteroid moon for Tylo would be cool too.
  8. I think we should make Laythe more like Io, what with a thin atmosphere and extreme volcanic activity and no oceans, and turn Vall into the new Laythe! Give Vall an atmosphere and sum oceans and make it a tad bit bigger, and you've got Laythe all over again! Although I do admit it won't have the same feeling as being on Laythe. Also maybe give Vall a sub-moon, say something the size of Hale from OPM, really close to Vall if this will ever happen, which it likely will never happen ever.
  9. Oh! I gotsa fud! Name: Veggie Mix Company: Smith's Laundry Products Co. Source: A mix of Dirty laundry Fresh vegetables that we found in a dumpster, crushed into a toothpaste tube. Backstory: A long time ago, we decided to go on strike and not wash our dirty clothes, and they just piled up over the years, until we decided that we should try to make a food product! So we crushed all those clothes into a toothpaste tube and called them vegetables. Type: "Chemically treated" paste Meal Designation: Never Breakfast Meal Type: Vegetables (?)
  10. This is my species! Name: Mofeku Appearance: The Mofeku look like snakes with arms, and they do eat meat, and thus are carnivores, but they are very nice when you get to know them. They never go to war, especially with each other, but if they meet a species who decides to wage war with them, and actually attack their colonized planets, they will bring out all of their war material, and show themselves to be militarized too. Population: 50 Billion in total (Across all their colonies, Sis Tun has about 35.74 B, Somn has 1,010, Niae has about 15.36 B.) Aggressiveness: 0.01, however, during war they are 10. Technology Focus: Military, Astronomy, Colonization, and Terraforming. Homeworld: None, their home world was deterraformed and made completely uninhabitable by a nearby race of aliens... (So technically, Sis Tun is their home planet.) Colonized worlds: Sis Tun, Somn (for factories and stuff like that), and Niae are their main colonies. History: The Mofeku used to live on a beautiful blue world in the habitable zone of an orange dwarf named "Mena B", and they noticed that their neighboring planet was growing hazier and hazier, until they couldn't see the surface anymore. Then they realized that their neighboring planet probably had an intelligent race living on it, and they likely polluted it, creating the atmospheric haze they saw. After they realized that, they started seeing UFOs hovering over their homeworld. Then, they landed and convinced most of the Mofeku to come aboard their ships, as they said they knew a perfect world they could colonize and share with them. Of course, these were bad aliens, and took them to the "polluted world" as the Mofeku called it, and used them as slaves. The ones that didn't go, these aliens knew about them, so they started coming back there to try again, but to no avail. Then they started deterraforming their home planet, and all the Mofeku left their planet. However, these aliens kept at it, and in about an earth year, the Mofeku's home world was covered in ice and barely had an atmosphere, so all life died out. We don't really know the age of their species, but we know they came into existence before Nyx existed. (Wipe out the whole "we don't know their age" thing, along with this message if you are putting this into the Mofeku's perspective. Even if you aren't, wipe this whole message. )
  11. Yeah, I guess you're right about the whole spacing thing. Also, this is my first KSP story so far, so I'm glad you want more!
  12. I hope this gets updated to a certain KSP update called "1.1.3", if you believe the rumors. PLEASE. DO.
  13. How do I make a signature? I just wrote the prologue and first chapter to my KSP story, and I want a signature so people actually know it exists.

  14. WATERWORLD By: electricpants Main Characters: Jeb (M) Bill (M) Bob (M) Val (F) Hersel (F) Janree (F) Lopenda (F) Donby (M) Jebken (M) Dudford (M) Sanlotte (F) Macbrette (M) Cooper (M) Joecas (M) Neleny (M) Leabella (F) Ragela (F) Meglinne (F) Irice (F) Gwenalla (F) Hadfred (M) Gene (M) PROLOGUE: Kerbol is now an orange giant, a sort of intermediate size between Main Sequence stars and Red Giants. We believe that in it’s largest state, it will swallow Kerbin whole, along with the perished Kerbalkind. However, if we go to our nearest neighbor, Proxim, We may have a chance to survive. Proxim is a red dwarf star with 3 planets, the first planet is a Sun-hugger rocky planet, orbiting in just 2 days. It is covered in molten lava on one side, while the other side is -200 C. This is because it is tidally locked to Proxim. The first planet is called “Mercury” and is uninhabitable. The second planet is a warm oceania, with temperatures reaching 25 C on it’s surface. It orbits Proxim every 9 days, causing it to be tidally locked as well, but it’s Kerbin-like atmosphere and it’s worldwide ocean more evenly distributes heat from Proxim across the entire planet. It is perfect for habitation, and may as well have life, the only issue is the fact that there is no land. This oceania is called “Hermes” and has beautiful white clouds and rings. The third planet is a gas giant with 2 moons. It is a beautiful yellow, and has a sparse ring system. It is far away from Proxim, taking 214 days to orbit once. It has an orange storm at its cloud tops. It’s name is “Cantor”. Cantor’s first moon is a shepherd moon with a HUGE volcano that is constantly spewing magma into space, it’s caused by the huge amounts of tidal heating caused by Cantor. This moon is called “Polluks” and is the cause behind Cantor’s magma ring. Cantor’s second moon is habitable, but barely. It’s surface temperature is a nice, warm -10 C. That means that the water on this cold terra is more of a brine than water, and thus is unfit for life AND for drinking. So don’t be fooled by this moon, named “Kastor”. Chapter 1: The beginning of the end “Wake up Bob!” Bill shouted. “What Is It, Bill? This had better be a good reason for waking me.” Bob grunted as he got out of bed. “Bob! The sun is orange, and it’s HUGE!” Bill worriedly said. “Oh, don’t be ridiculous, Bill.” Bob said, annoyed. “The sun is normal, alri-” Bob’s eyes widened as he saw exactly what Bill had described. “Oh no. I think time passed so fast while we were having fun, with random launches that did nothing, all the puns, and… and… well now the sun is an orange giant.” Bob realized. “What’s an orange giant?” Bill asked, confused out of his little engineer mind. “An orange giant is the midpoint between a star like the old sun, and a red giant, which is an old red star that’s at least 100x times the size of the old sun, which means that soon, Kerbin is going to get pretty hot.” Bob explained to Bill. “Oh, well, I assume that’s a bad thing?” Bill questioned. “Yes, that’s a very bad thing.” Bob yet again explained to Bill. “You stay here, I’ll go tell KSC about this situation!” Bob shouted. Bob then went to tell the employees at the KSC. Bob came back to tell Bill. “They said they would start developing a rocket to go to the nearest star, Proxim.” Bob told Bill. “It’s going to be huge, but it can only hold 21 starting kerbals, which I wish there could be more, but any more, and the rocket wouldn’t go up, which is important for a rocket to do in this situation.” Bob continued to explain. “Who’s going? Are we going on there or are we staying?” Bill asked. “Well obviously they’re taking you, me, Val, and Jeb, but besides that, I don’t know.” Bob told Bill. “Now listen, everyone.” Gene said to the other 17 kerbals making the trip. “The sun is dying, but we want kerbal kind to survive. So we’re sending you all on a 21 starting kerbal ship along with Jeb, Bill, Bob, and Val. So you all are going through intense training so you know what you’re doing on Hermes.” Gene continued to explain. “Hermes has more gravity than Kerbin, and is larger than Eve. Hermes’s surface gravity is 1.4 G’s, Radius is 840 km.” He explained about Hermes and what they were doing for training. “Well, I’m going to bed now, Bill. Please don’t wake me up again.” Bob told Bill. But Bill wasn’t sleeping tonight. Tonight he was helping to build the interstellar rocket, and he was in charge of building the ship’s Alcubierre Warp Drive so they could actually go faster than light! “Alright, so I have to build a ring that can “accelerate” the ship up to 10 times the speed of light by warping space-time. Well, at least I was given a blueprint so I know how to build it, and the scientists will make it do the magical stuff.” He said to himself as he began building the Warp Drive. “This is the only thing that we don’t need to make sure floats, because we’re jettisoning it once we get there. Because, I mean, do we need this once we get there?” He continued to say. “I just can’t believe that I’m building the ship I’m going interstellar in. And some of the kerbals here are just supposed to build it, and they’re not going.” Bill said once he was mostly done with the Warp Drive for the ship, which has a name now, which is the “IWS”. It was about 9:00 AM once he finished, so essentially he stayed up all night building a Warp Drive for the IWS. Bill couldn’t find Jeb, so he climbed up the VAB and found Jeb sitting on the edge, looking up at the sun. “Oh, hi Bill! Long time no see.” Jeb said, ecstatic about seeing his friend after not seeing him for a week, because he was on vacation. “I was wondering where you went, anyways, I’m done building the Warp Drive so we can get to Proxim FTL!” Bill excitedly stated. “Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on, Bill. What’s this whole ‘We have to get to Proxim’ thing all about, anyway?” Jeb asked. “Well, Bob told me that essentially, the sun is starting to die, so Kerbin is going to get too hot to sustain life, so we found the closest star to us, which luckily had a habitable ocean planet orbiting it.” Bill explained. “Wait, we’re moving to an OCEAN planet?! Have they lost their minds?! We’re NEVER going to survive there!” Jeb yelled back at Bill. “The habitat modules are designed to float, genius.” Bill said, annoyed that Jeb blamed them for losing their minds, when he did a long time ago. “Alright, jeez Bill.” Jeb said, surprised that Bill had just yelled at him, instead of Bob, like he normally did. “Well, I’ll get off this stinkin’ rooftop so I can talk to Bob.” Jeb said, while walking away, somewhat happy he got away from Mad Bill. “Oh, hey Jeb! Where did you go for vacation?” Bob asked enthusiastically. “Oh, me and Val just went to that beach over by the island runway.” Jeb answered, weirded out by the fact that Bob was so ecstatic about seeing him. “If you’re wondering why I’m happy to see you, it’s because you were gone for so long, and all the modules for the IWS are tested, and can float in freshwater, which we believe covers Hermes. You were gone for so long, that everyone was starting to worry about having to leave you and Val behind.” Bob explained. “Wait, they’ve tested the modules? What do they look like? Are you sure Hermes is covered in freshwater, and not saltwater? Are you sure we’ll even survive the trip?!” Jeb asked a million questions about the IWS and about Hermes. “Jeb, we have tested the modules, they look like your average house, we’ve studied the composition of Hermes’s water, and determined there was little to no salt in it, and yes, I am sure we will, since the trip will take less than a year with the Warp Drive.” Bob explained again. “Who’s going?” Jeb asked. “You, me, Bill, Val, Hersel, Janree, Lopenda, Donby, Jebken, Dudford, Sanlotte, Macbrette, Cooper, Joecas, Neleny, Leabella, Ragela, Meglinne, Irice, Gwenalla, and Hadfred.” Bob explained who was going. “But… But that’s only 21 kerbals!” Jeb looked surprised. “Yeah, I know the feeling. But any more kerbals, and the rocket wouldn’t take off.” Bob said, looking at his shoes. “When is the IWS taking off?” Val walked in and asked Bob. “Tomorrow.” Bob said, looking very nervous.
  15. Wouldn't it be cool to stand on the vast, green plains of Duna, Tylo, or the Mun? Or to swim in their oceans? I know this might be a bit, how do I say it, hard to implement, but it would be awesome to have the Mun have an atmosphere and life, unlike the grey/gray rock it is now. Now, I play Spore, and in that game it is way, way, way too easy to terraform planets. But we don't want to have something like trying to terraform planets in real life either, because you would have to go through many, many complex steps to even get the project going, not counting the hundreds of kerbin years that the player would have to wait through to even get it somewhat kerbin-like. We need something inbetween Spore's terraforming, and real life's terraforming, something intermediate. Anyway, while you people are discussing this, I'm going to finish eating my corn dogs.
  16. I have an idea for a new system! Name: Nyx Age: 99 Million years Mass: 9.04 Solar masses Diameter: 2657667 km Density: 229 kg/m3 Surface Temp.: 9329o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 9908 Light years Eccentricity of orbit: 0.2 Parent Body: Epsilon Alpha A Inclination: 16o Type: B0V Main Sequence Star Rotation Period: 11.1 hours Description: This star spins at 1.5 million km/h, one of the fastest spinning stars we've ever discovered. If it spun any faster, centrifugal forces would've torn it apart in a massive explosion. But no, centrifugal forces have in fact torn some of the equator off to form a giant ring, and out of that material, three shepherd planets were born! Name: Elluad Age: 50 Million years Mass: 2.98 Earth masses Diameter: 9166 km Density: 5.53 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: ~2736o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 0.0517 AU Eccentricity of orbit: 0.01 Parent Body: Nyx Inclination: 57o Type: Hot Shepherd Planet Rotation Period: 1.43 days Description: This planet is the first of three shepherd planets, and is a yellow-hot mess. It was and still technically is, because it's so hot. The core and the "crust" are almost the same temperature, so there's so little magnetic field that even our most sensitive sensors can't detect a trace amount of magnetic field. Name: Pitunda Age: 51 Million years Mass: 2.12 Earth masses Diameter: 6680 km Density: 10.1 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: ~2850o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 0.0899 AU Eccentricity of orbit: 0.0 Parent Body: Nyx Inclination: 57o Type: Hot Shepherd Planet Rotation Period: 3.27 days Description: Pitunda is a sort of mystery, as it's farther away than Elluad but it's hotter than it, has twice it's density, and has no atmosphere. So we have the same issue as with Elluad with the whole magnetic field thing. I guess it would make a good place to roast marshmallows under a planet-wide "fire". Name: Maniu Age: 55 Million years Mass: 2.17 Earth masses Diameter: 7415 km Density: 7.59 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: ~1759o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 0.218 AU Eccentricity of orbit: 0.0 Parent Body: Nyx Inclination: 57o Type: Hot Shepherd Planet Rotation Period: 12.4 days Description: Maniu's surface is relatively cooler than it's core, so it has a weak magnetic field. It also has created the largest gap in Nyx's rings, not because of it's mass, but because it's farther away from the star where gravity is slightly weaker. It has an atmospheric pressure of 1.16 atmospheres, suggesting that it would be significantly cooler without it. Name: Sis Tun Age: 98.8 Million years Mass: 1.35 Earth masses Diameter: 7053 km Density: 5.5 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: ~12.6o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 8.85 AU Eccentricity of orbit: 0.0 Parent Body: Nyx Inclination: 63.2o Type: Terraformed earth-like planet Rotation Period: 4.36 days Atmospheric pressure: 0.623 atmos Description: Sis Tun is a planet that, without an alien species known as the Mofeku, would be a frozen iceball at the edge of the Nyx system. But the Mofeku are an interstellar race that just look for planets to put colonies on, so they gave Sis Tun an atmosphere and water, and a magnetic field, and did the same to it's moon Niae and turned it's asteroid moon into a moon covered in factories, solar panels, and nuclear reactors. Then they colonized Sis Tun and Niae, Niae being a popular vacation spot. Name: Somn Age: 127 Million years Mass: 9.61E+17 kg Diameter: 32.5 km Density: 6.7 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: -80o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 74217 km Eccentricity of orbit: 0.41 Parent Body: Sis Tun Inclination: 14.1o Type: Industrialized asteroid moon Rotation Period: 2 days Description: After the Mofeku terraformed Sis Tun, they turned toward it's small asteroid moon Somn for more resources to continue to advance their knowledge of the stars by making more computers and telescopes. So they put all the bad stuff, prisons, factories, and nuclear power plants on Somn to make Sis Tun and it's major moon Niae as clean, pure, and enjoyable as possible. Name: Niae Age: 98.2 Million years Mass: 1.38 Moon masses Diameter: 1782 km Density: 4.27 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: ~7.82o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 410721 km Eccentricity of orbit: 0.01 Parent Body: Sis Tun Inclination: 0.9o Type: Terraformed earth-like moon Rotation Period: 25.9 days Atmospheric pressure: 0.243 atmos Description: Niae is a lush moon, with life from the Mofeku's homeworld transferred to here and to Sis Tun. However, only Niae has rainforests and more intelligent life, somewhat like our apes, in the trees. Sis Tun has less complex life for reasons we don't understand, and only has pocket forests, possibly so they could continue to study the trees and how they were adapting to the new environment. Pics n' stuff:
  17. @Galacticvoyager, I know how to PM, but for some reason I can't leave a message on your feed. Also, please change the names of the planets, so the hot Jupiter would be "Darwin Ab" and the super-earth would be "Darwin Bb" And please change the parent body thing, because I don't use those names for the stars anymore.
