  1. Hey guys, Last few days I've been playing with Realism Overhaul, built a bunch of rockets, and now want to build a space shuttle. What mods can help me with that except mods that include an already built shuttle (CSS, project Buran etc) and Real Scale Boosters? Thx

  3. Rovers: Easy - manned: build a stock rover and deliver it either to the Mun or Duna. Moderate - manned: build a stock rover with a minimum crew of 2 and deliver it to either Eve or Ike. Hard - manned: build a VTOL stock rover with a minimum crew of 5 and deliver it either to Tylo or Dres, and get it back on orbit. Extreme - manned: build an Mk3-sized rover with a minimum crew of 16 and all possible science experiments. Easy - unmanned: build a stock rover, deliver it to the Mun, and recover back on orbit in any ways. Moderate - unmanned: build a stock rover, deliver it to either Duna or Ike, and recover back on orbit using its own power. Hard - unmanned: build a stock rover using an ISRU unit, a drill and all possible science experiments, deliver it to Duna, Dres or Tylo, and recover back on orbit using its own power. Boats/Submarines: Manned: build a stock boat with a minimum crew of 2 using any crewed command pod and deliver it on Laythe. Unmanned: build a stock submarine, deliver it on Laythe, and gather scientific data from the bottom of the ocean. Rules: -All entries should be self-sustainable and have at least 3 different types of scientific experiments. -No save file editing in any way, and no using Debug Toolbar. -All entries should have at least 3 different screenshots, and a used craft file. -Mods that can be used in this challenge are: MechJeb, Kramax Autopilot, Trajectories, any visual mods (EVE, scatterer etc), Ven's Stock Part Revamp, assuming that the craft itself is only made of stock parts. For the survivalist: -Using a life support mod and have the crew with supplies for 30 days. -Getting the craft back on Kerbin -Using an SSTO to deliver the vehicle (for a mega pro) Have fun!

  8. The inflative one is just soooo hot. By far the best way for one-way aerobraking.
  9. Yep, @AkuAerospace, it is an SSTO, I'm even more amazed than anybody else. Cargo carrier? Not that much. With a bit of modifying it could though deliver 2,5m payloads. Namely, moving the RCS tank to the back so it doesn't obstruct the cargo ramp, and offsetting the Mk2 fuselages out so they don't intersect with the payload bay.   10. Thanks, @Speeding Mullet, the next mission will come soon too, even though I most time try to get my SSTOs flying. Honestly, the shuttle isn't fully my contraption, I made a combination of ideas of Negative Root, ShadowZone and Matt Lowne (all on YouTube) and added this wacky aero spike OMS. The design was fully built and engineered by me though, so I just want to thank these guys. I wonder if KJR counts as modded too, as a wrong move on re-entry tears the wings out of the craft, and if I go on prograde, I end up losing RCS. Or I'd love to get some engineering help.
  11. If I'm not mistaken, Juno can't go past Mach 2 or something. Anyway, it can't go hypersonic so maybe your plane misses what most SSTOs have - high speeds on low altitudes.

  14. Boy thats a shame. Actually i'll try to redo your stuff. Well here is a picture of my X-Wing X-Panded SSTO. You can call him Sam. Since I dont want to offtop, here's another thing: They try to look somewhat futuristic but end up crashing the game. EDIT: AHHAHAHAHA!! I've got this thing flying!

  18. No. It occurs only at pod-included ladders, never on Mobility Extenders
  19. Put a mun transfer stage on orbit, then a mun lander using a shuttle, dock the lander with the transfer stage, then normally land on the mun, then put them all in the same shuttle, and use this shuttle to land the mission. All with the same shuttle. "Shuttle" word counter: 5
  20. Hello. My game has a strange problem since 0.90. In 0g (and sometimes even in-atmo) when I try to grab a ladder on EVA, sometimes they send me into infinity and beyond with 40+ m/s of velocity. I'm playing on 1.1.2 x64, stock.
  21. Hi, So I've been playing KSP for a while with lots of visual mods. The game looks way cooler with EVE and scatterer, but I notice the colors are a little bit pale and cool (I mean, blue-ish). Is there any ways of making the colors more vibrant and hot? I'm not really sure where I should put this topic, so move it as you want.
  22. Put bill on a KAS-based slingshot and tried to shoot jeb. When bill died I replaced him with billy-bobbles then james and finally bob sacrificed his life to kill jeb. That was fun. Also started a career mode on RO and broke the game with the persistent rotation mod. Then i made a SSTO that didn't fly and rescued jeb and bob from it, then realizing that I forgot a parachute. All died.
