  1. can you link it? ive seen a similar article on another site, that is tiny, but i was blanket googling ksp ps4 lol it even mentioned a press release but i havent been able to find that anywhere. There was another hint i found on twitter, FTE retweeted a tweet about a site looking for streamers and lets players who like space and rockets. we know its been in testing, and they were looking for people in LA not long ago. plus the dev update from the last month or so has been mentioning it more and more. Extremely excited! cant wait to use that share button lol and to see how quickly i can get the platinum
  2. it would be nice if the mission control building would give contracts in sandbox. choosing not to do them would have no effect since money and science dont mean anything, while at the same time provide something to give you random ideas, or even practice achieving them for the newest of the new who may be intimidated by career mode
  3. ive had unattended satelites in orbit of jool get flung into wild orbits lol. all it takes is accidentally have an orbit point close enough to one of the moons orbits and youll eventually get a fling out to the wild, if not on a collision. not sure how it could sense the difference between unintended and planned eventual encounters. i dont use kerbal alarm clock so im not sure hownit works, but it would be nice if you got a pop up anytime a ship is within a couple hours of an SOI channge
  4. what i always do, is go overboard on the Ions, Because of how close you get to the sun, your panels will be pumping out the juice, so you can get away with using more and more ion drives. i also go overboard on the deltaV, so that i can just circ rather close to moho, then make an encounter so that my approach speed is significantly shorter.
  5. i essentially always have youtube playing something at the same time, both background noise, and something to flip to lol especially if im using the ion thrusters. some of those burns can get long, even with X4 warp lol
  6. I didnt notice it while i was playing 1.1.2. Ive upgraded to 1.1.3 and its happening, so i guess its not been fixed. im still new here so not sure how to properly report it
  7. so im having trouble with orbits. I have a lander in orbit around the mun, and i was about to start the rendezvous process, when i noticed my AP moving.. it has climbed 3km in less then 4 minutes.. and its still going, getting closer to 4km change now. is this a new glitch? I remember the ap/pe being a bit finicky before, but i dont think it was this bad ..
  8. e3 last year someone posted in a small forum community im on that it was coming to ps4. i dont really play pc games so havent really been following what was coming out for them so i had no idea ksp existed. just seeing the game i felt i couldnt wait for it to come to ps4 and that i had to play it.. so i bought it. now i play countless hours of it, and plan to double dip when the ps4 version hits lol im kind of a sucker for trophies too so i cant wait to platinum it lol
  9. there are alot of contracts that can be done with the signing bonus it gives you. all it takes is one of those
  10. im sure its been mentioned but liquid full only 2.5m tanks. it seems simple, just the next size up from what we have now.
  11. while that mind set works for those who play it on pc, i think consoles cater to a different crowd that isnt into playing a game that requires them to do complicated math in their own. if consoles get mods tho it kind of changes things, but i fully do not expect to see ksp mods on consoles since its a major thing for even AAA games to get them. figuring out delta v on your own is duable with the info your given, but it greatly effects the difficulty. i know people who would love a game like thia but are essentially useless at math and they play solely on console. having it as an option on easier settings seems like a very simple solution since those who dont want it can simply not use it.
  12. the console version is what im thinkin of most. anyone on pc can mod the game without any preknowledge of how to do so. i use myself as an example since ksp is my only pc game at the moment. although i did pc in the early 2000's. and is the only game ive ever modded and took only a few minutes of reading to figure it out. but console players wont have this option and I feel like many wont have the patience for the amount of trial n error learning this game entails without proper readouts. and putting a simple warning about it possibly being wrong is something that kind of gels with the way everything else is written. it makes more of the game accessible for new players and the crowd that isnt mathematically inclined. and you still have alot of trial n error since the game doesnt give you a delta v map, tells a player nothing about transfer windows, and understanding how to efficiently manuever in orbit is an entire section thatll need its own trial n error. including a difficulty called rocket scientist that has it disabled could also be done
  13. i play mostly console, infact the only game i really play on PC is this but have well more then a thousand hours lol with how comfortable i am with a ps4 controller, i am still very nervous about attempting to play using it. I am still crossing my fingers they will have mouse and keyboard support like some other ports have been. FTE said they were looking into it a couple months back. They've also been revealing trophies weekly for a bit now. also, I asked on FB yesterday about e3 and apparently they are showing it to the press closed doors this week, so hopefully we should get a few articles soon about how its looking.
  14. flying tiger is in irvine so you may be right.. but also e3 is next week so could be that to.. either would be alot of fun.. Im in canada or i would in a heartbeat lol
  15. if you wanna get your node right at the ap or pe, create a node near to it, press tab to focus view on it and zoom in as much as you can, and slowly drag it towards the point you want. radial in/out can also help adjust if you want to at a height thats not your ap/pe Im also a recovering Mechjeb user, started playing without it to prepare for ps4. once you get a hang of things it comes pretty quick. Im still working on getting better at inter planetary burns, im no where near as efficient as mechjeb lol
  16. Stock really isnt so bad and presents itself extra challenges to get around parts that mods usually provide. Ive recently started an all stock career to get re-used to it for when the ps4 version hits and have been able to do everything except an Eve return lander. I miss the extra data i would get from a custom mechjeb window tho. I would love it if they put in some sort of stock delta v readout for just when your in the VAB. its not needed during flight if you know how much the designed specs have.
  17. ya ive done this a few times and laughed pretty hard the first time i survived it lol someone needs to make a MOOSE mod, if their isnt one already lol
  18. yea i was trying to build an eve lander today and it was crashing every 3 minutes. i gave up and tried to just play around with stuff already in space.. that led to crashes when i tried to stage or go eva. and im playing stock lol im not gonna quit over it but i have swore alot more then nornal. it really does get frustrating. i save my ship after every part i place. and create multiple saves. sometimes itll go a while without a problem, then crash alot in a short period of time
  19. I find they are good for trips to dres and beyond. Duna and Eve are close enough that the poodle will meet your needs unless you have a really large ship. Moho is close enough to the sun that you can get away with using a couple handfulls of ions without having to really worry about power. really wish we had some 2.5m liquid fuel only tanks. Sure there are mods, but im doing a stock only career right now, and not havng any gets frustrating
  20. im kinda surprised by this because i thought interplanetary travel is the eventual goal of the whole thing. when i first started ksp i was incrediby nieve to orbital mechanics and how to get anywhere usefull. i opted to grab mechjeb and ended up using it as a teaching tool. i would watch how it did things and what it was actually doing. after a while i started to take control in more and more situations letting mj bridge the gaps so that i could actually accomplish things. i was also a bit wary of the long interplanetary trips with all the years in between but i soon shook that feeling cause i realized if i didn't i would never get anywhere or do anything really cool. it also took a while to get the courage to do it with manned missions in fear i coulnt get them back. a tool to help find phase angles would certainly help alot, especially for newcomers. while it really isnt hard to google a site with a tool to find it, not everyone is gonna do that. after that a delta v display for while your in the VAB would be the next big help. its not as important during flight because its easy enough to guesstimate how much you have left by your fuel in the resource tab
  21. Im excited for the console release and will certainly be double Dippin. people should be less negative. sure i have my doubts about the control scheme on a controller, but im confident they have it handled. i cant wait for friends who arent really into pc gaming to try it, and to help all new comers learn the art of space navigation. Plus all the trophy hunters. more people will be introduced to kerbals and to me thats always a plus! i also noticed flying tiger is doing the port, and they have been nice to reply to questions on the fb page. i am gonna stay positive until i have a reason to think otherwise. so im hyped!
