  1. I'm guessing because most people looking through add-ons are less likely to click on something with a fully transliterated Russian name. By putting "Big" at the beginning, more people will understand that it's a larger version of something from the Russian or USSR's space programs, even if they don't know what "Khleb" means. Just a guess though, but if I were in his shoes, I would have done the same.
  2. As @adsii1970 said, it's hard to play without KER. It does math so I don't have to! Aside from technical mods like that, Galileo's Planet Pack is amazing.
  3. I think I agree. It's purely aesthetic, but having the SM continue to flair out may make the top of the rocket seem stubby and less aerodynamic.
  4. I think I like Concept 1 better, but that image of having a cylindrical SM looks like it might be cool too.
  5. @joacobanfield don't know how you feel about MechJeb, but it has a feature in Utilities that will auto-adjust the thrust of your engines to compensate for mis-aligned or drifting CoM and CoT. I'm not great at shuttles, but this feature made a world of difference for me.

  8. I have M.O.L.E. and have BARIS active and I was doing a static fire test to improve the reliability of my parts. I had the capsule manned because after the tanks ran out of fuel I would detach the capsule to test its functionality (it literally would just drop to the ground and be recovered [also, note that the vehicle was sitting sideways as I had no intention of actually launching]). Just after ignition, there is a catastrophic failure which automatically triggers the LES... which flew straight into the Launchpad's flag pole, and exploded, killing the engineer on board and destroying the pad. Well, crap.
  9. Yeah, targeting active vessels is only with RemoteTech. Stock relay will should target anything in range with line of sight.

  12. Just check the log for the last thing loaded before the crash. Usually works for me, and I'm like @DeltaDizzy with enough mods that I have over 30,000 patches.
  13. Well, I'm finally at my computer but I'm not sure how to go about downloading this. It shows no releases which is how I normally navigate Github downloads.

  15. I had an entire tourist trip die on the way back from Mun because Kerbin eclipsed Kerbol and I ran out of power (I was using Kerbalism which requires electricity to run heaters or air conditioning).
  16. I like having a theme, but I saw lots of people doing gods and goddesses for names so I didn't want to follow suit. I was born and raised in Alaska and decided yo use Alaska themed names. As such, my boosters are named after mountains, ships are named after towns, stations are named after rivers, bases are named after lakes, landers are named after animals. Relays and probes are random other things.
  17. Thank you! Would you mind adding the KSPedia link to the OP for easy access? Also, I'm really enjoying BARIS so far. I'm keeping track of my missions and seeing the various failures as a rocket is being tested is pretty cool.
  18. Event cards seem pretty frequent, especially when time warping to finish building a crazy. Do they occur after a certain number of days?
  19. I like the idea of a reusable space plane or shuttle, but I'm crap at building ether, so for now I design boosters which are fully recoverable. FMRS is my friend.
