  1. O okay. In terms of KVV, it's bonked (as with many other mods) -- pink screen. Suspect due to DX11, which existed back in 1.6. On the other hand, DX11 and new Unity improve framerate a lot.
  2. Well, I can't ask this question in the Gameplay tutorial forum... As it turns out, while the S2-33 is good for shuttle launch, using it for Ares-I clone is OP -- I can easily send it to Mun.
  3. I just want to confirm that Ares-I is not suppose to allow an Orion to enter Lunar Orbit by itself, right? My understanding is that for TLI, Orion is ALWAYS paired with a EDS, even if a backup orion is launcher.
  4. May we inquire why the KVV have issues with DX11? I know inability to generate the model is due to DX11, as that happen even back in 1.7
  5. P.S. I will assume the reason why Raptor didn't release anything yet is because KVV got bonked by 1.8, specifically running in DX11 mode.
  6. The reason why delta-V maybe a bad idea is that, without the minimum TRW in a certain altitude, those delta-V are not enough to send you anywhere but down.
  7. Can we stick with the fact that KSP are just bad at scaling and looks, using the SM-18 as example, and a lack of short-A218 [snip]?
  8. The only DLC SRB this time is the 1.8m (Pollux). Both Throughbread and Clydensale are OP, and physically speaking, huge. Putting even the S2-17 on a stack similar to Thunder-4 turns it into an Ariane 5 analogue.

  10. The problem is that 3.75m tanks fulfill the range from 6m (IE S-IVB) to 8.4m (SLS AND SSET). The 5M is of course for Saturn-V, which are 10.1meter. That being said, considering the Gemini Service Bay, forget about how big they are suppose to be.
  11. Okay, the concern (as one who share crafts) is, whether parts made with 3.75m but with orange variant will still work for someone who do not have DLC. (in short, I have DLC. i know it will work for me. But what if I upload my craft and it was downloaded by a player who have no DLC)

  13. Hey, would you confirm the S3 tank reskin are for MH only? If so, what happened to people who have no MH? As far as I know, reskin attach to the part maps itself...
  14. 1.8 is out. Let's get to work. Speaking of which, any plan to convert some of the crafts/Rockets to use SRB, if the performance is good enough? (I know I will have plenty of work on my end) Specifically, a question that arise is which SRB to use as SS-SRB, the largest SRB with gimbal, the 2nd largest (also 2.5m), or the 1.875m SRB. In terms of function (and cost). Nonetheless, Actual Ares-I build is most definitely doable even adhere to the no-bundling philosophy that we both seems to employ -- in fact, quite overpower, with a VAC delta-V of 5000 even when using the 1.8m SRB.
  15. I assume you had double checked your orientation with "lock" camera (and may be verify with docking indicator mods?)?
  16. My only issue is that this basically forced me to wait for 1.8 before working on my crafts, in case more new parts/revision come about.

  18. Thanks. Found it. A few more questions: 1) Regarding your Soyuz clone, I know you already stated why you only have one return capsule (not replica and the extra "habitat cab" is superflurous). However, I am curious why you go with a ballistic return capsule at the top, instead of using the heatshield's lift capability and place the capsule in the middle (with the top becoming either some payload bay or extra fuel tanks 2) Regarding your LITE/Kerbin return space tug for cismunar: Did you employ any aerobrake?
  19. At this point I will see how it function, and if it works, stick with it. Already ran a test flight using 2x2 Kickbacks on Shuttle and it's stable enough with orange tank to a LKO.
  20. Oh okay. Basically trying to figure out the ISS ports, PMA, and what not. (context as listed in OP)
  21. Question: What do you use for LKO-mun, and LKO-Minmus, as per your cislunar economy? I can only find your old poster which is from 1.3
