  1. I just started doing SSTO's recently, so I have only built two good ones. Here is my first ever: It is docked to a small station I made. And here is my current good SSTO. It can do crew and cargo transport. In this picture it is deploying a scansat in a 250x250 km polar orbit. And here is a better shot of it landed: I am thinking of making an only crew version of it soon.
  2. I usually put my scanners in a 250 km orbit, because that is the optimal altitude for the multi spectral scanner, which I generally also have on my scansats. Minimus is so small, that even at 250 km, the scanner scans a pretty big swath of ground, and there is much less problems with the planet moving.
  3. I like KW rocketry, because it adds a ton of parts that seem pretty balanced, and look amazing. The parts it adds fit your "adapters, tanks and boosters" criteria, because that is pretty much all it adds.
  4. This part made me laugh. Also, I think that this is a good idea if they can actually do what they want to.
  5. One of the coolest things that I learned about the whole Apollo system, is that this program was actually hardwired. It consisted of a set of wires and magnets that were arranged in such a way to carry the same information as a computer drive. This made the "hard drive" (or SSD maybe) very resistant to radiation, or vibrations, and it also booted up in about a second. Apparently, the whole system was built by retired seamstresses, because they had good hand dexterity.
  6. I realized that after I posted my reply. Glad I helped you.
  7. First off, for my fighter jets, I always use SAS, except when maneuvering. When I design my planes, I try to keep the COL pretty close to the COM, but still behind it. I also always use the thrust vectoring engines with afterburner, because they have a great vectoring range, and are reasonably powerful. Also, if you deactivate some of the control surfaces, and generally use each control surface for only one action, then your planes will have less problems when you are maneuvering. This is one of my best fighter jets. The canards in the front, coupled with the tail fins give it pretty amazing maneuverability, and it flies very well with SAS on.
  8. My first attempt at a ship to get me to duna. I single launched it completely without cheats, but once I got to orbit, I realized that my reactor could not even power one of the four engines, so I could not use the ship on anything past about 1/6th throttle. Needless to say, I was not happy. I ended up just leaving it in orbit, and launching a new ship. Also, I was launching a mothership for something or other, and I experienced a major structural failure. This happened after several dramatic explosions on the launch pad.
  9. My friend once built a tiny jet plane, with the old turbojet engine, which I managed to get onto a suborbital trajectory with the old aerodynamics. I then put some monoprop on it and obtained orbit.
  10. This is the first one that I have on my laptop, probably the first one I ever took on my laptop. I don't think that it is my first ever, because I probably have some on my old computer that I can't get to right now. Anyway, it was a poorly designed transport plane from version 24.2 I started playing in .22 or .23, so I should have some older ones somewhere.
  11. Also, it costs money, and no one wants to pay for something with no direct benefit to themselves.
  12. I really miss your youtube channel.  It was one of, if not my favorite KSP youtube channel to watch.

  13. That all is true. Going out into the ocean and grabbing all the little tiny pieces of plastic would be very hard, or impossible, and definitely more work than gain. And we do have to stop dumping stuff in the oceans. I just don't think that the ocean can just "sort itself out" in any reasonable amount of time, given the sheer amount of stuff that we have put into it. We have to do some kind of clean up effort, or else our garbage that is still in the ocean will continue to cause problems for quite some time.
  14. The problem with leaving it there is that it is harmful for the wildlife that live in that area, because it builds up in the digestive tracts of animals, which is especially harmful for babies. It can also absorb pollutants and toxins, which then build up inside of the animals as well, which is harmful not only for the animals themselves, but whoever eats them (eventually us). The plastic will eventually be broken down, but because it is plastic, eventually means like 500 to 1000 years, possibly more depending on the size and composition of the plastics.
  15. Oh, I found another great picture: It was fully KAS assembled on the mun from parts that were on my lander. However, It has trouble going down hills at more than 20 meters per second: Everyone was OK though, but Jeb did slide along the ground at 20 m/s for about a kilometer.
  16. I was launching a module to my munar space station.
  17. The videos are made by SWdennis, not space scumbag, and the weapons are some extension to BD armory. This mod might be the right one. Also, the planet destroyer video was not destroying the actual planets, he was shooting parts that look like the planets. I can't find this mod right now, but I know that I have seen it somewhere.
  18. The game does not let you go to the space center while your active vessel is moving, but you could stop the aircraft carrier in the water, and then go to the space center, or possibly you could load your plane, and put it by the side of the runway, then launch your carrier, put it in the water, and then fly your airplane to it.
  19. A prop is an individual component of a full internal for a pod, for example, one gauge or button. RasterPropMonitor is a mod that adds a framework for other modders to create better IVAs. The ASET mk 1-2 pod IVA is an absolutely amazing addon for RasterPropMonitor, which gives the mk. 1-2 pod a far better IVA then either the default RPM IVA, or the stock IVA. It requires RasterPropMonitor in order to function. Even if it is not updated, you probably can still use it. There are also other mods that change the IVAs, but I have not found any that do the mk 1-2 pod.
