So I completed a few missions yesterday, before the 1.2.2 update, and got the money to finally upgrade the R&D building to allow resource transfer between docked ships. This is my 3rd play through and I have done numerous setups like this in 1.1. I know resource transfer works when I am able to transfer mono propellant between the Mk1 Command Pods and between the 2 FL-T800 fuel tanks, as shown in the first two pictures. Then I am trying to transfer from a FL-T800 on the bigger ship to the FL-T400 on the smaller ship, does not work. I have taken 3 screenshots of this, but don't know how to upload images into the forum.

So I just started playing again recently and I noticed that Mechjeb was not working. The last time I played was before the 1.2, btw. I mainly used Mechjeb for the information panel (TWR Delta V remaining etc.). Is there an update to this mod I am not aware of, or is there another mod that can give me a real-time readout of these statistics?

So I am fairly new to KSP and many ships I built have some fuel left over from getting to orbit. I want to use the fuel then ditch the engine but I do not know if it is better to use a low orbit and maximize the oberth effect or if it is better to use a high orbit, evenly splitting my remaining delta v to get into a circular orbit for an injection burn to another celestial body. Assume already in a co-planar orbit.
