Does anyone remember my really old mod, the Othrys Planet Pack? If you don't...that's expected. I stopped working on it nearly 2 years ago. However, I've been recently considering a redo of the mod, which I would start after IA-Revived 1.3, Upsilon Kandromedae*, and the Exoplanet Explorers pack are released or almost finished. Here are the features that I will likely be implementing:
-All the new planets will orbit around a white dwarf called Othrys.
-The original planet Othrys will be renamed Othrys Prime.
-Almost all the objects and ideas from the original mod will be transferred over.
-Several life-supporting planets and moons.
-Possibly a distant red dwarf.
*The first version of UK is 99% finished. Just have to wrap a few things up before release.

Remember how, after the discovery of EPIC 210693462b (Natalie), the K2 scientists running Exoplanet Explorers said they would use the Keck in late summer to observe the star?
They did, and the results were released on Sunday. However, I'm not going to post them yet, because I have to do an analysis of the given data. It turns out Natalie may be an even more bizarre planet, and I need to pin down certain parameters for...reasons that I will not reveal yet. It's a surprise!
@Cabbink You probably know what I'm talking about, so PLEASE don't spoil it to anyone!

An "ozone layer" has been found on an exoplanet...but it's not what you would expect.

Good news for my exoplanet searches! A new LcViewer update is coming out soon, which includes an automatic signal search feature. One of the other LcViewer users on Exoplanet Explorers, shutcheon, was able to test it out with EPIC 220221272. The application found the first five most likely candidates in under 20 seconds. For comparison, it took three months of human analysis to find them. Currently candidates with a 4-sigma confidence, like the sixth planet of EPIC 220221272, would remain undetected, but this quick analysis feature would enable me and other users to find candidates at a much faster rate than before.

Has anyone else been having problems with the latest kopernicus lighting up planets like crazy like what happened with my Intergalactic mod?

T-9 days. The waning Gibbous moon is finally visible in the bright morning sky. Only about a third of a Lunar orbit before the big event!

Fingers crossed that this works!

Impossible a StarMods of dream!!!!!!

Maybe a SIXTH planet around EPIC 220221272, a red dwarf with five rocky planet candidates, one in the habitable zone. This new one is the smallest of the system and is a much better candidate for habitability.

Poor Proxima b. It got hit REALLY hard by a massive flare from Proxima Centauri. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this may be one of the largest flares EVER recorded from this star. At least they aren't incredibly common.
Honestly, I don't think this completely rules out the possibility of life on Proxima b. If the planet is near the 3 Earth-mass upper limit and is an iron planet - which I find likely - then it may have three things on its side: a strong magnetosphere, a thick and durable atmosphere, and the ability to quickly replenish lost gases.
People and their pessimism. So annoying (when it comes to exoplanets).

Go home Moho, you're drunk.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! I have a confirmed planet I can call my own! Or, at least 10.5263% of it.

I just tested out some new features for Lich (PSR B1257+12) in IA-Revived, and it has turned out to be the most dangerous, physics-breaking, and suicidal object ever made for Kerbal Space Program. There is no leaving it - you have to travel up to 60,000 km/s just to leave. And if you dare venture close enough....cheats will not save you. There is no survival. Whether you have unbreakable joints or ignore max temperature on, your Kerbals have two fates in store: being abandoned in a system 1 trillion kilometers from home...or death. In IA-Revived, all these worlds are yours.
Except Lich.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS (and definitely don't send Kerbals here that you want back)
SpoilerFor those who want the actual facts, the gravity of this star is...uh...somewhere around 15 trillion gees. It's a really big number. The star is nearly 29,000 Kelvin (or well over 51,000 Fahrenheit). This is over five times hotter than Kerbol! In addition, the fastest speed I recorded was just under 400,000 km/s (1.33 c) and the highest gee-force was nearly 17,000 times that of Kerbin. In an eccentric orbit of 0.6 at about 8,400 km, it was enough to disintegrate my craft. Literally.
