  1. But that is the point isn't it? they are aware of bugs, one of the developers stated they have stopped sustained development on the game and that they will patch the game when they have time. Why not just stamp out whatever is left that they feel they need to fix and tell us players the game is complete, there won't be any more updates. Hence players and modders can enjoy the game without anymore updates and changes to worry about, is that not logical? From a financial standpoint and for the playerbases happiness.
  2. Not to provoke any further arguements, but would it not be prudent to stamp out all remaining bugs/issues on KSP 1 so you can dedicate all your resources to KSP 2? That way people can continue to play ksp 1 without any further problems, modders can do as they please to their hearts content and people who want a finished product to enjoy without having to install updates or starting again can do so in peace? I have been waiting 4 years for the "final" patch so i can enjoy my career without having to start again and adapting to the changes, finish the game and let it come to rest please, stop dragging this out any longer?
  3. Hi KSP team, I understand you guys have moved on to the 2nd game and everything said regarding KSP possible future patches however just to correlate, KSP staff did mention in a few different posts, here and on steam that there may be a small patch here or there, does that mean you still have people working on KSP 1 specifically? or people working on KSP 2 will "between tasks" add or fix additional things in KSP 1? Don't get me wrong, i am perfectly happy with KSP 1 in its current state, i just wish to know when the game will no longer be changed so i can play careers now as well as learn the mechanics of the current state without fear of changes. I ask because when you said there will be a hotfix and/or patch whenever that may be, is there a possibility of an update a year from now when someone decides "oh this feature we put in KSP 2 can work on KSP 1, lets add it as a promotional free dlc" ? or are we looking at "We are ahead of schedule on KSP 2, lets go through KSP 1 and see if there is any fixes or changes we can do". I just wish to know when the game will be "done" is there a possibility of a time frame on a "final" patch? Thanks for the great game, Sav
  4. Hi, I am unable to contact support through there link, is it possible to get the email address so i can email them? Thanks.
  5. Wow thanks for all the ideas and responses! Would it be fair to say that ultimately KSP 2 will contain everything the first game had and everything that could be attained or achieved in the first will be in the second? (Base game not mods) I ask this because when the second game does come out, i dont see myself playing the first anymore, ive got my time / moneys worth out of it and i acheived the majority of my goals in game, i'd like to learn the sequel and adapt to that. The first game is fantastic don't get me wrong, but a sequel that gives more and looks nicer will trump the classic for me, provided like i said before you can do and attain everything from the first game.
  6. Hey players and devs. I tried to make this post before but i think it didn't go through (page crashed randomly) if it does come through well i will just delete this one, anyway on to the post! I am just curious because i have been searching the forums here, on steam and redit and i can't get a clear answer.. why are they continually developing the first game when they are planning to release the second game in half a year? The game doesn't contain a story line and if the second game contains everything the first has plus a lot more content, mechanics, multiplayer and improved graphics, why would anyone play the first one at all? I can understand if people have computers that might not be able to handle the 2nd game but a part from that, the first game would be obsolete to the 2nd wouldnt it? unless their is things you can do in the first that you can't do in the second which seems a little silly. I would use universe sandbox as an example, when the 2nd was released the first was completely redundant, there was no reason to play the first at all, so for a game like this where their is no story to go back to experience, i can't see the logic of the continuous development of the first while the newer one of the series is released. Can a dev or anyone here with more knowledge about it please explain it to me? i tend to leave a previous installment of a game and focus on a sequel in any series i play, so i am curious why i should keep the first installed when i will be giving the second game all my attention? Thanks in advanced, Sal
  7. Hi guys, long time reader of the forums but never felt the need to post, this post however peaked my interest! I dont think ksp is the type of game that requires a sequel being that its one of those standalone games that remains a unique classic forever. However in saying that, a remastered version would be a great idea, a new engine including everything from the base game but with enhanced graphics, updated engine and new features / content. A sequel could very well take away from this classic, an inferior version which tends to happen when companys try to make a franchise out of a unique game like this. Not to mention at its core the gameplay, premise and in game features are perfect, just the game is limited by an old game engine, graphics and glitches. A remastered version would keep the loyalists happy with their experience and understanding of the game not going to waste while newer graphics and more content will bring in a new generation of players. Anyway thats just my opinion, what do you guys think?
  8. Hi, I purchased the game 5 - 6 hours ago, I just wanted to know if their is a bug / issue why I haven't received the download link? or does it require a developer to approve the transaction before the link comes through? I sent an email an hour after purchase just to confirm but haven't received a reply so far. Any news would be appreciated! Thank you.
