  1. 1) Any mission embarked upon will scan for success parameters for all other missions the player commits to and will flood him with hundreds and hundreds of 'success' messages during a mission, all of which have to be clicked away individually 2) Asteroid scanning missions are broken in parameters: When all other missions give you a few thousands of credits on success, the asteroid mission will give over 2 million IN ADVANCE and 4 million on success, breaking the whole progression of the career mode entirely. This needs to be fixed quickly (as it is very easy to fix)
  2. So again I'm proven correct in that they never loveing ONCE played a career mode game just to check they didn't break the excrements out of everything. Fire the idiot in charge of QA. Basically if you have taken several missions, and now start doing one of them, you get a log message for EVERY SINGLE PARAMETER you fulfill for ANY ONE OF THE MISSIONS YOU'VE TAKEN. And you have to right-click through each and every one.
  3. There's bugs and there's NOT PLAYTESTING EVEN ONCE
  4. Campagin mode.. First bug, I do the first 2 missions on hard. Gain infinity money rewards. Enough to upgrade the whole kerbal center etc. So I do a clean install, figure maybe maybe, and it fixes it. With the clean install, I do a 'fly space tourist to suborbital spaceflight", the contract never resolves. It shows that their itinerary is complete but but the mission is incomplete. I figure ok, I.. don't know. So I take another such mission and complete it, but this time they don't even register the itinerary as complete ... what how can you break the game entirely and release it without seemingly playing through campaign mode even once? even loveing once
  5. Will the expansion also allow the makings of "campaigns"? Meaning, one mission that when successful leads to another, or when failed leads to a different one etc. Will it be very mod friendly? (meaning lasers and alien invasion missions stringed as a campaign)
  6. And the "super secret project" ? I mean come on, is there anything that most existing Kerbal players can look forward to in 1.3 or not? I mean love, everyone here would pay for a DLC if it has some major additions to campaign mode, new gameplay mechanics, intricate missions and parts and all that jazz.
  7. Silly how ppl argue over every silly thing these days. chill out dolls. Were all in this together. foxster is right anyway. i read the whole thing. Anyway, just wanted to add not to worry cuz theyd be really stupid not to keep developing KSP and adding stuff cuz theres thousands of ppl who 100% will buy any dlc released at full price. and me first i hope! this is one of the highest rated games of all time
  8. Welcome Ziggy! I wonder what it's like to work on an already established game with a bajillion lines of code, where you enter and have to figure out what the hell does what, what interacts with what, and basically how to add/fix something without breaking something else. Especially something so Kerbal! I'd be happy if you dev. journal that kinda stuff for us Also, who's your favorite guitarist here: Scott Henderson, Allan Holdsworth or John Scofield? Also, can't wait to hear about the new content. I wonder if it's going to be something as totally awesome as the LoudnClear update. What could it be? Perhaps an updated Career mode?!?? :):):):):)
  9. I especially like the idea of letting the player decide his space program's financial model. Specializing in any of those will require a big investment of science and money (for unlocking parts), so at first, you have to make some choices on what you prefer to do with your playthrough. Of course, after a while, you should be able to unlock everything anyway. I'd also suggest having multiple different reputation bars, one to do with each area of expertise (an agency for example can have very poor reputation with satellites but a high reputation for space tourism) Space Tourism: Includes an extended "Tourism" tech line with all manner of 'comfort' rocket/plane parts. As your reputation grows, it becomes necessary to unlock those and create rockets that can take more kerbals to more exotic destinations more comfortably, as it becomes more difficult to make money by doing low-profile tours (your facilities cost more to maintain already, your experienced staff require bigger salaries not to move to competing agencies) Space Settlement: A focus on off-kerbin bases. A tech tree line to match. Specializing in, of course, creating larger, more comfortable and long-lasting residences in space! Luxury orbital space stations with all the amenities and space restaurants and planetside colonies. Ties in to space tourism to an extent, as some tourists might want to relocate to minmus permanently, but you need the kind of facilities that can maintain life there for a year (comfort level requirements vary). etc With this, the player should have the option of seriously taking his time and, for example, just doing airplane flights of kerbin for a while for money. Just build a luxury airplane company for a while, enjoy the sights, fly around... Whatever a person wants to do.
  10. I've had the same experience KSK I play on hard with like 50% science and earnings to make progress more gradual (which I suppose isn't very balanced either or fun, as most rockets have to be made of multiple cheap crap glued together rather than advanced and expensive tech). But that said, what would you improve and how?
  11. Honestly though who's going to make 1.3 with like 2 devs left and everyone else being 'managers' or 'community managers' etc? I'm hoping for a career mode overhaul, cuz frankly I could care less about graphics and multiplayer etc. I just want a more 'gamey' game that's harder and more involved, especially with the management of the space program, budgets, etc. And of course stuff like the updated parts etc. hm.
  12. Also, as important (if not more, currently): Complete, per-wheel, steering control inversion. Almost always my rover's control system is loveed up because of the systems inability to properly "understand" the difference between vertical and horizontal control. So at least let the player fix steering wheel by wheel to make sure the rover is controllable
  13. Career Mode feels a bit lackluster to me. It seems that there is a lot that can be improved, beyond just adding more mission types. So how would you improve it? It can be anything, even ridiculous stuff that you think would make career mode more interesting. Just list suggestions. (Just keep in mind that career mode IS NOT "toy mode". It's a whole different mindset. Career mode is all about random events, choice and consequence, management of various factors, the challenge of difficult tasks and suitable rewards, and also losing is fun.) 2 suggestions I have: Reworking the star ratings for missions & adding true "3 star" missions. It doesn't feel right to get a 3-star mission to rescue a kerbal from minmus after you've done that 4 times already. 3 star missions should be ones that are truly difficult, or ones that represent achievements never gained before (like first time in orbit, first time on the moon, etc). The idea is that when you take and beat a 3 star mission you should feel like you've really achieved a milestone (like it is at first, with the first flight in orbit, first mun landing, etc). It's all about the feeling the player has. Either that or have new 5 star missions especially for totally groundbreaking achievements and seriously difficult tasks (like "to eve and back using only solid fuel rockets", "EVA from Duna to Kerbin", "De-orbit Ike and shoot it into the sun" or I dunno what. The truly crazy stuff (I'm of course stealing ideas from youtube). 2) Semi-Random management/restriction events A kerbal threatens to quit if you don't let him fly the next mission Certain parts are unavailable for the next mission due to defects in manufacturing! etc Dunno. How would you make Career mode a more complete campaign game?
