well the good news is, i managed to find a fix for it it seems for some reason the curse/twitch client was installing it in a double "gamedata" setup. i.e. it was placing everything, including both firespitter and airplane plus folders under another game data folder within game data folder. the file path was basically /GameData/GameData/Firespitter. for some reason when it did that it still showed the engines, but not the wings, cmd pods, and had no sound. i moved firesplitter out of the 2nd game data folder into the 1st and suddenly it all works fine now. although the mod is now not showing as installed on the curse/twitch client. hope this fix will be useful for anyone else encountering similiar issues but it's really weird because back when i used this mod i manually installed it and somehow had the same issue. it's a shame i cant remember if i also manually installed it with a double "gamedata/gamedata/" structure now to see if that was also the cause of the issue back then huh when im using the Ks-51 landing gear it bounces me right up into the air as well. high enough that the engine block explodes on impact i have to revert launch a couple of times before the gear seems to start in the tarmac, whereupon i have to then manually retract and extend it again for it to behave properly. using it on a fresh game fresh build too. is this a known issue?

Hmm tried this many moons ago and couldnt get any sound at all Just tried it and still no sound. Can't find an "issues" section or any workaround on page 1 either. Nor any sort of workaround on the mod page on curseforge. Am i missing something? i downloaded and installed the mod via the twitch/curse client thing. edit: just looked in gamedata, the sound files are all there, even tested to make sure i can play them on Windows Media player too but the sound is just refusing to play in the game for some reason. edit2: ok just realised the mod command modules and many other parts are still missing too. i also found my old post earlier in this thread and it's exactly the same issue. no command parts but they're all in gamedata too so the mod download and installation was complete. my game is 100% on 1.4.x and i honestly have no idea what's wrong. better yet, this is now a different computer to the one i had posted about with the same issues earlier. really really confused here. exact version:

@blackheart612 ah sorry for the delay. i checked everything. all the part folders have part.cfg in them. the sounds folder is also there. download doesn't seem broken.

Newb question... where and how do I get that?

i double checked, downloaded the zip from 2 different locations, both don't seem to have the cockpits. weird because the landing skid is in there. And oh I didn't know firespitter was a mod that needed to be downloaded as well. As I said, new to this all. I'll get firespitter and report back! Thanks! Update: Installed firespitter 7.4.2. Firespitter parts show up, still no cockpits or sound. Checked the folder, the parts show up in the folder itself. Downloaded zip from a different location, reinstalled the mod downloaded from a different location, still no sound, no cockpits either. Not sure if related but the moment I try to place a firespitter part my game crashes.

Hi! This mod is a great idea. I do have a problem trying to get the chutes to deploy. Autodeploy doesn't work, neither does pressing Space + F. I'm not sure what might be the issue, I only have 1 other mod (Airplane Plus R6.0) installed. Any help or direction with troubleshooting the issue would be greatly appreciated!

Loving this mod, but I don't get any engine sounds at all. Also are the cockpits supposed to be part of the mod pack? If so, they're missing for me as well. Fairly new to modding, would appreciate direction on whether I've downloaded the correct(or latest) version, and how to troubleshoot any bugs. Thank you
