  1. I still haven't encountered this bug myself, do those who are victim of this spam the warp-down key or something? And doggie015, the use of caps and the demanding tone are not useful to fix bugs. This is known and as Nova said, will be fixed. If you don't remember, there have been experimental releases, during which lots of other bugs (including game-breaking ones) were fixed, so you could be thankful instead of ranting. Thanks for understanding, and remember everyone is playing the same game, with the same bugs.
  2. Isn't it rather 80% of the original size? Anyway, I had played around with this a month or so ago, and yes, parts are slightly smaller than what they should be, using a rescaleFactor of 1. For some reason, the default rescaleFactor is 1.25, and is used when you don't force another one. Which means that, actually, everything in KSP is scaled 125%, and when you use a rescaleFactor of 1, you get your part as it "should" be. I would advise that you do not write the rescaleFactor, so you don't get a headache trying to make things fit together. However, whenever you want to rescale something, you will have to take that into account.
  3. It would be both, ideally, because in most equations, you assume an instantaneous change in velocity, so I tend to burn a bit before the ejection angle to compensate for this (nuclear engines don't help with their low thrust). And then again, you probably won't have an encounter just as you stop burning, and will have to do some course correction at some point (though there are times you don't need to).
  4. HarvesteR said he'd rather have few well-written tutorials than lots of poorly written ones, so they only had time to add those you have in 0.17. User-made tutorials are a possibility, but without proper documentation, we have to guess how to create them, so it may take some time as well.
  5. Patch limit = 5 is a good value, as you can see up to 4 SoI changes (but this won't happen often). Also, I personally prefer draw mode = 3, because it displays orbits around child bodies relative to their parents (so a slingshot around the Mun will appear smooth).
  6. I tried a few Mun landings with the radar altimeter, and it works like a charm (the only thing I find odd is its scale, as it will suddenly decrease once it goes below 1k and 500m).
  10. I'm pretty sure the rocket that has to land on Moho (the first time) will be so big it will reach out of the planet's atmosphere
  11. Since there is nothing announced yet, here is my wish list: - some more planets - docking - docking parts... - assemblies in VAB/SPH
  12. Just a quick reminder: use spoiler tags when quoting images! Pretty please?
  13. Definitely Minmus, and you can even see it during the day (that's the only bright point you see there )
  14. Bon, la traduction Google n'étant pas top, je vais juste dire que tu devrais éviter de poster en Français (ou n'importe quelle autre langue, d'ailleurs) ailleurs que dans la section "International". D'ailleurs, n'hésite pas àpasser dans le topic français ! http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/showthread.php/569-Des-Francophones-sur-Kerbal Edit : je vois que tu avais déjàd'autres posts, donc j'imagine que tu avais quand même compris ^^;
  15. Thread locked, punitive action will be taken.
  16. To the people saying "what's bad with a little speculation": you can speculate all you want, but doing so on the release date is prohibited by the rules, because not only does it serve no real purpose, but it tends to bring lots of people to give their own idea, and sometimes argue about it, which leads the topic to derail (which is, incidentally, also against the rules). This thread was created to discuss the features of 0.17, and is only called unofficial because it was created by someone not related to the dev team. So please, discuss and speculate as much as you want about how planet X will have a SMA of Y, or anything like that, but no mentioning a release date EDIT: and please, do read this post, even though it can appear as an uninteresting wall of text, some posts have already been removed from here...
  17. [ and ] only work when there are other vessels within 2.5 km. However, it is strange that the second message gets displayed... Your best bet would be to return to the tracking station, and select the ship from there.
  18. The devs being quiet is partly caused by the change of forums, as they were waiting for blogs to work properly, and also due to the amount of work they are putting in the next update. Sure, we haven't had much info since, but you can get an idea by looking at the features list for 0.17. Regarding modders, well, maybe they're waiting for the new version, maybe they don't have much more to add to theirs mods, maybe they don't know what to create...
  20. Meh, you could have tried this in a thread that would require you to spoiler things. Anyway, thread closed, and so people know, the syntax for spoilers is . Also, if you quote a post containing spoilers, it shows you the actual syntax.
  21. You should only use RCS for the final approach (300m is good), because their lack of thrust means you will run out of fuel before you can do anything. Be sure to kill sideways velocity along both axes, then throttle a bit (or use RCS) and let your ship drift closer. Correct your course every now and then, and when you're getting very close, RCS should be enough to dock. may help you.Good luck!
  23. I removed the URL, though there's nothing more I can do about this.
