  1. Hi All: Help please! Not sure if this is a bug or a feature. But this is what I notice: When using a salt reactor, " The actinide waste can also be reprocessed using a refinery or a science lab " I don't see a way to reprocess actinide using ISRU or anyplace . The only way I can find to "recharge" the salt reactor is to first move the actinide to another tank & dump the actinide, then mine Uranium, then process it to UF4. All reactors (except for the salt reactor) only produce EC. So if I'm using beam power, there is no way to power the transmitter - megajoules are needed. I tried using capacitor and computer core to convert the EC to MJ, but it did nothing. I can only use beam power from a salt reactor or a huge solar panel that produces MJ. So I can't transmit beam power even with huge amounts of EC. Good news is relaying and receiving beam power (even X-Ray) isn't a problem for me - works exactly as it should. I also "re-broadcast" the X-Rays to microwaves so smaller drones & rovers get some free short-range power. What am I missing? thanks! BTW, I love the interstellar mod - it add dimension to an already huge game! @ Maelstrom Vortex: It looks like you're trying to transmit ultraviolet and receive in visible red. I don't think this will work. In the VAB, set the transmitter and receiver to the exact same frequency. This works for me.
  2. Again, congrats on getting part 1out the door. ! I was reading the wiki a little. One idea I had was having 1-2 planets in another star system Not in the All having simple life forms "as we know it" . A living-inhabited planet will have ultra-valuable Biomes. Returning a living sample will be 100x more valuable than a soil sample from a normal planet. This planet doesn't need to be terraformed . The lore, Precursors in the All, and who built the pyramids, etc. is something different and a separate part of the story - I guess. I have another vote for "More exotic objects (black holes, neutron stars, etc) ". Something to get pilots very confused and scared.
  3. Thanks for the posts! It would be fairly easy for me to bring back my experienced kerbals to the astronaut complex (before installing KSS .7) , then just spend (lots of) cash & re-build science stations and mining bases (using more high-tech parts). I will also keep all my deployed craft "parts" position in a spreadsheet in case I can move them to new orbits. My current carrier is like 1000 (Earth) hours. At worst case, I have saved planes/rockets with with VERY good designs (both stock and CTT mods) . So a new career won't be so long and painful. EDIT: Please don't post many images from the ALL. It should be a very mysterious place that requires a real crew to enter - even a pilot !
  4. Hi all. ( this may be an old topic) I've been playing Kerbal for a long time (I'm 50 and this is my favorite game ever). I currently playing KSP 1.3 with the CTT and some popular mods without KSS. I have lots of cash & tech points, science labs, mining bases, scientists & engineers at the Mun, Minmus, Duna, Eve, and Jool's moons, milking and cleaning up science at Eeloo biomes. etc. etc. When I installed KSS .6 before, I lost most of my satellites and some kerbals. Any suggestions on how to migrate all my "stuff" to the .7 KSS? The obvious thing to do first is move the kerbals from Minmus to the Kerbin astronaut complex before Minmus becomes a comet. But what you think I can safely keep in space without losing it during the .7 installation? Or just don't bother and re-start the whole carrier with the CTT and KSS .7 ? I'm so ready for the .7 awesomeness ! thanks!
  5. UPDATE: I did a uninstall, then deleted the whole folder, then re-install. Now it seems to be working - in sandbox and my old save file. The problem fixed its self. I have no idea what caused the fault. I'll keep my fingers crossed for now
  6. Hi All. After I updated to 1.3, the KerbNet is no longer functional. All I see is KerbNet offline. KerbNet was working fine in 1.22 and with lots of mods. The 1.3 Comm Relays work fine and most of the tech-tree is full. With the RC-001S, I should be seeing terrain and biomes. Am I missing something? thanks! Version 1.3.0 - 1804 Windows (Steam) version. 100% Stock - 32 and 64 bit.
