  1. Yeah, saying they would be great for Eve and Jool was an exaggeration, its more that it would be one of few (relatively)conventional options, and I suggested them here because I was already suggesting the addition of jet engines that run on cryogenic fuels, so I thought "Why not throw in MI-jets as well?"
  2. Based on what I have read the medium independent jet engine is supposed to have an ISP of as high as 200% greater than a rocket engine, but I dont know if such engines actually would achieve that, as far as use in KSP I'm pretty sure they would be most useful for planes on Eve and Duna in vanilla or other similar modded planets, my main reason for suggesting them is as a chemical alternative to nuclear thermal jet engines, realistic or not. (medium independent jet engines are also not my idea of course)
  3. You know what would be quite nice? Hydrogen and methane fueled jet engines, could even have a medium independent jet engine or two, essentially they use intake atmosphere, oxidizer, and (insert fuel here), the idea is simply that they are chemically powered jet engines that dont require an oxygenated atmosphere to work, great for Eve, Duna, and Jool
  4. So I tried this and it has the same problem with the wings being completely black on my computer as any other version of B9 Procedural Wings.
  5. The stock lab isnt really good for surface bases in my opinion, it seems more like it belongs on stations and ships, and as you said, its not inflatable
  6. I had an idea while telling a friend about a Mun base I recently started, the Ranger comm-lab has very little data storage, so an inflatable lab for the Ranger parts similar in size(inflated) to the habitation module would be quite nice to have. Would also be great if it could have the option of more scientists or more data storage
  7. So that's why I couldn't scrap unwanted parts and get material kits, good to know.
  8. Best of luck to you, I hope this can be made to work in 1.11 without too much difficulty as its the largest planet pack I know of and seems like it would go quite well with Far Future Technologies.
  9. I've tried it a few times in the past, every time the plane ended up breaking up, but some times the broken up parts would be recovered, Im not sure why the planes would go out of control when the rockets were launched though.
  10. I have a question, does Stage Recovery actually support air-launches(by recovering planes) or should I try something else?
  11. Not really, MKS has a smaller than 1.25m lab, balance wise the obvious way to make a 1.25m lab would be to make it only hold 1 kerbal and probably only 200-500 data(for an inline lab) and the same amount of science, there is also another mod IIRC that adds a 1.25m lab, but it adds so much other stuff I dont want that it's not really an option for me. Also Im pretty sure its possible to reduce the speed of research which would also be a good way to balance it, but Im sure my suggestions for balancing such an addition were already known and have already been considered. (just after finishing this I thought of having it potentially being as an optional file with a disclaimer regarding balance)
  12. I have a small part request and a suggestion. I would like to request a 1.25m lab similar in size to the other small 1.25m parts. The suggestion is a simple idea, but I doubt it would be as simple to make as my request, lab centrifuges for 1.25m, 2.5m, and 3.75m, for more practical spiny bits on stations and ships with the main benefit being greater science, data, and crew capacity than other labs.
  13. From what I have noticed the main incompatibility seems to be tweakscale(any scalable part cant be upgraded), but aside from that it works in 1.11.2
  14. The fuel being lighter strikes me as an obvious reason to use the fusion engine over fission.
