Prompt for username/password leading to another site?
Kyle Worden replied to Kyle Worden's topic in Kerbal Network
Why would malware only affect one forum thread? As far as I can tell, it only pops up here -
Prompt for username/password leading to another site?
Kyle Worden replied to Kyle Worden's topic in Kerbal Network
Hmmm, sure hope not, the only downloads I've made since my last scan were KSP mods and all the links were grabbed from these forums. Running another scan to be safe. -
I've never seen this before, found it while searching some older threads. Can anybody else confirm that this happens for them?

Can't stop watching this video
Kyle Worden replied to Julien Kerman's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Very well put together @winged, what camera tools do you use, if any? -
The kraken god was displeased with me, Killed Jebediah and Sherlo on their decent to the mun for a mining mission, They did not survive. So, after cleaning up some of my mods, I made a new career, this time with even harder settings!

You see how your blue lift arrow points down? this is because your lifting area is unstable, think of a ball sitting on the top of a hill, any nudge will make it fall, the same principle is happening to your airplane. Some quick fixes that should help: 1. make the wings parallel to the ground, this applies to the elevators as well 2. Make the plane a little bit longer, this will make it more massive, and a little bit more stable 3. double check afterwards to make sure the lift arrow is pointing upwards. 4. rotate your landing gear so that the wheels are perpendicular to the ground, they are currently canted inwards, and this will cause steering issues on the ground. Hope this helps.

Post your stock Duna rockets here!
Kyle Worden replied to Spaced Out's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Only thing on here that isn't stock is the telescope, the camera on the rover, and the landing engines on the rover bay. Sending a comnet to duna, a space telescope and landing a rover in my career- 13 replies

KSP Challenge: Crosswise the Sea!
Kyle Worden replied to Darth Badie's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
What are you having issues with? do your airplanes fly? The best thing I can suggest is to load some of the stock aircraft in sandbox and play around with them. Biggest thing to remember is to make small corrections during landing, over-correcting can easily lead to a loss of control and crash. Turning on fine controls may help if you are flying using a keyboard, press caps-lock to turn it on. -
KSP Challenge: Crosswise the Sea!
Kyle Worden replied to Darth Badie's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
Then make it a challenge for you, do it in a VTOL, make a stock propeller aircraft, fly as slow as you can, fly as fast as you can, fly as low as you can. There are challenges everywhere, you just have to look for them. -
Launched my first Career Duna mission, going to establish a communications network, deploy a telescope for contracts, and land a small rover.

KSP Challenge: Crosswise the Sea!
Kyle Worden replied to Darth Badie's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
Mirage 2000c flying under the radar, decided to up the ante and stay below 100m the entire flight. Really wish there were mappable trim keys for joysticks. -
Help needed for a mod. All Volunteers WELCOME
Kyle Worden replied to Raptor kerman's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
The best place to start would be to come up with an algorithm, create a flowchart that shows what parameters the code would look for and what it does in each scenario. This would greatly help your quest of finding a coder, because then they can see what you want done, how you want it done, and what steps are needed to accomplish it. for instance for your decent rate alarm, when do you want it to start? lets say 50 meters. Ok so at 50 meters, sound alarm 1, at 40 meters sound alarm 2, is the decent rate too high? if yes, sound retard alarm, if no, wait until altitude is 30. you get the idea. -
Can't say I've made a SSTO to Eeloo, however, an alternate solution may be to create a SSTO with a drill/ISRU. Land on Minmus, refuel, then make your maneuver for Eeloo. This should save on craft size, since you are eliminating the orbital insertion DV that your craft would normally have.

Low-Tech Aerobraking?
Kyle Worden replied to Casualnaut's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
What body are you aerobraking on? Early career makes me think Kerbin, and then you only need a heat-shield for coming back from either of the moons, probably only 80 units of ablator for Mun, and 120-140 should be good for minmus (on a 1.25m) If its duna, I would do a retrograde maneuver, its atmosphere is so thin that an aerocapture is difficult in early career. -
Best of luck to you! Got a few more years until I finish schooling for aerospace engineering.

You would be better off asking here, the add-on thread for bdarmory most of the discussions here are based around stock KSP.

Petition to include all 2013 purchases for free DLC
Kyle Worden replied to CjStaal's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I purchased KSP September of 2013 at a discount, this game has given more enjoyment than games I have purchased for $60. Game development takes time and money, and I plan on supporting squad with DLC purchases. -
Searched and couldn't find anything resembling this so here we go. I feel that KSP needs some sort of a quest, to guide you in your exploration of the stars. Using the in-game easter eggs, lead the player on a scavenger hunt to discover more clues about the nature of the Kerbal universe, their origins, and possible lore explanations for the game. Starting out would be simple, visit the Proceed from location to location, using kerbnet to locate these locations (already built in game), heres the path that I'm currently following in my 1.3 career Who put those monuments there, where did kerbals come from? hopefully some answers will be revealed. Thanks for stopping by!

[1.12.x] Crew R&R - Crew Rest & Rotation
Kyle Worden replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@linuxgurugamer Persistant.sfs here Jebidiah and Valentina flew missions just prior to bill, and just before bills mission, Jeb and Val were in the Astronaut complex with 6 days 59 hours left. After recovering bill and checking the complex, jeb and val were no longer there, and in the persistant.sfs file they have state=9001 where bill has state=available I then timewarped 10 days to see if they come back after the 7 day minimum vacation, they did not but bill is now available again for a mission. Let me know if you need anything else. -
