  1. Made a greeble raceway so my F9/FH knockoffs look a little better.
  2. Welcome to the forum, @MkThunderwd As the game is no longer being developed, this change seems really unlikely. Fortunately it's possible with some very light modding as a simple ModuleManager patch. If you don't have it already, install ModuleManager Create a text file inside your GameData folder. I like to put one-off patches like this in a folder named MyPatches or something. Name the file whateveryouwant.cfg Open the file with a text editor. Inside put this: @PART[Tube1]:NEEDS[SquadExpansion/MakingHistory] { node_attach = 0.625,0,0,1,0,0,0 @attachRules = 1,1,1,1,0 } @PART[Tube1p5]:NEEDS[SquadExpansion/MakingHistory] { node_attach = 0.9375,0,0,1,0,0,0 @attachRules = 1,1,1,1,0 } @PART[Tube2]:NEEDS[SquadExpansion/MakingHistory] { node_attach = 1.25,0,0,1,0,0,0 @attachRules = 1,1,1,1,0 } @PART[Tube3]:NEEDS[SquadExpansion/MakingHistory] { node_attach = 1.875,0,0,1,0,0,0 @attachRules = 1,1,1,1,0 } @PART[Tube4]:NEEDS[SquadExpansion/MakingHistory] { node_attach = 2.5,0,0,1,0,0,0 @attachRules = 1,1,1,1,0 } Your GameData folder structure should be like this: GameData Squad SquadExpansion ModuleManager.4.2.3.dll MyPatches whateveryouwant.cfg I have only tested this as far as the patches applying and it doing what you want in the VAB. For all I know this was prohibited intentionally because it caused problems. Comes with no warranty.
  3. My assumption with the partial thrust / duration tests is that it's more for computer model validation. If the simulation models they have are pretty accurate against the tests they can safely do for the realzTM, then the models they have for full thrust are probably pretty trustworthy.
  4. I think you may have misread. I believe Ryaja is asking for more options, not to increase the 25/day limit.
  5. So much Stardew Valley. You know, I think I'm basically done getting excited about AAA games. I get so much more fulfillment out of the indie stuff. I've written off $60 games after 10-20 hours so many times. This one's 1/4 that and I've loved it so much I've already bought 3 more copies for family. You don't have to have 4k graphics and traced rays to have a good game. You just need a good game.
  6. Paste the URL to the image as usual, like you would in a post. Once the image loads in the editor, double click on it. A box will come up, put the URL for the link in the first box.
  7. I really don't see them ever staggering separation. FH was already more complicated than they'd initially thought, that seems.... complicated, at best. Especially with the massive COT/COM offset after the first booster lets go. Also remember that doing so would have one booster go further down range with less fuel to get back. If it can still RTLS, then the first booster brought fuel back home for no reason. If they ever did do a staggered booster sep, I imagine one would be a boat landing, even if it was relatively close. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the trajectory. Does the first stage turn before separation? Does it roll? If it rolls before booster sep, one of them may end up going to a higher altitude than the other, really putting off their timing. I couldn't see it this time, but one of the previous FH launches I watched had the boostback burns desynced when they absolutely separated at the same time.
  8. We've been having issues loading the forum for the last hour or so. Not all of us, though, and personally I've been having issues with a couple other sites. I think there's an issue going on with one of the large-scale comm infrastructure companies.
  9. Yeah... pretty big difference. Long enough for the panic of "Oh no, they lost one!" to start.
  10. First three FH launches attempted a recovery of the center core. 1 and 3 didn't land, 2 (Arabsat 6A) landed but the octograbber wasn't set up for the FH core and therefore wasn't used. It fell over on the trip back. So strictly speaking they got half of a center core back.
  11. All Falcon Heavy launches have had RTLS for the side boosters except for ViaSat-3, which was fully expended. They have yet to do a dual drone ship landing.
  12. Previous FH missions have been dual RTLS so the legs don't mean drone ship landings.
  13. The problem with roleplay, and why it was forbidden, was that it tends to cause problems with forum users interacting with each other in this way. If you are just writing mission reports in first person as a kerbal, that should be fine. The problem stems from pretending to be a kerbal while interacting with other forum members who are also pretending to be a kerbal. You can make up whatever you like about the kerbals' inner lives, just make sure it stays family-friendly and follows the forum guidelines. As long as it's made clear that everything you're typing is coming from the perspective of a kerbal as part of a story and not you "as" the kerbal, you'll be fine.
  14. I've put a number of hours into Void Crew over the last two days. Still very early access, but we're having a blast even with the game in the state it's in (I can tell they have much more planned). Playable with 2 people, but really recommend 3 or 4. Technically speaking you can play it solo but I don't know how you could get anything done.
  15. Ran a 3 1/2" floppy disk through a paper shredder. It was oddly cathartic.
  16. Your height varies throughout the day. I am 185 cm, on average. (That's about 6'1")
  17. The only biffed landings I can remember recently were the two that lost an engine on the way up, and one ended up missing because of bad wind data being uploaded to the booster on its way back down. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Falcon_9_and_Falcon_Heavy_launches (81, 83, 108) The rough seas one was Arabsat 6A Falcon Heavy. The center core landed, but the octograbber wasn't configured for the Falcon Heavy core yet (it's different than the Falcon 9 Solo/Side booster config). So it tipped over from rough seas. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Falcon_9_and_Falcon_Heavy_launches_(2010–2019) (FH2). Every other Falcon Heavy launch either failed landing or intentionally expended the center. (First test flight had insufficient Tea-Teb), and the STP-2 mission had a heatshield burn through that damaged the TVC. As far as I know, that booster (1055) is the only one that landed successfully and then was lost during the recovery process. I believe the only other Block 5 landing failure was B1050, which had a gridfin get stuck on descent and soft landed in the water just offshore. I mean, it landed... just not where it was supposed to.
  18. Only part that matters. Don't let anyone, especially the internet at large, let you think it's not ok to play a game you like. I've been putting what can only described as an unhealthy amount of time into Oxygen Not Included. Again.
  19. This is stuck so bad I'm actually having trouble falling asleep because it won't stop. Someone else take it, please.
  20. Banned for enjoying Team Fortress 2. Also, friendly reminder to please not post excessive amounts of whitespace. It just causes disruptions and can cause issues for mobile users.
