  1. Anybody else have an issue with the BepiColumbo mission? It didnt register my eve flyby or getting into moho orbit, just stopped sending me messages.
  2. That's what I have been doing in the interim. I typically play PC KSP and have been using this version for a stock playthrough and was hoping I just missed something! Thanks for the suggestions guys.
  3. Controller - Radial Preset Console - PS4 I am trying to get an aerobraking trajectory for Duna with a small lander but when editing maneuver nodes from halfway around the Kerbol orbit I am getting wild swings in the distances and completely unable to fine tune my periapsis below 30KM with the Ham-Fisted default maneuver planning. For example, I will barely press the joystick to move the maneuver node axis I want to edit and get a 600K KM swing in my periapsis. This is not a problem on the computer version of KSP as my mouse is more fine tuned than the controller joystick. The game claims holding L1 will allow me to edit more precisely but this just switches the axis of maneuver that I am editing. Whats the deal here? Is there a way to actually edit the maneuver node so I can potentially aerobrake and efficiently guide my craft to landing on Duna, or do I need to over-engineer the excrements out of the thing so I can have an extra 2km/s delta-V just for a circulization burn? Thanks for any help.
  4. SSRSS SCANSAT ALTITUDES NOT WORKING, TOO HIGH ETC. Edit the file in gamedata/real solar system/compatibility/scansat.cfg and delete a zero off of the ideal and the maximum altitudes that are set.
  5. Fuzzy Resource Scanner M700 doesnt attach or allow offset for me. Sits about a meter above the nearest attachment point. Had to delete to get any function from the part.
  6. MISSION SUCCESSFUL: if anyone is having trouble with fusion and microwave power, search my posts and BlackMoons answers.
  7. That seems accurate, they are placed 90 degrees to each other so really just covering the angles. Seems like I get full power transmission now, I'll report back with any issues.
  8. Got it working Blackmoon, I now have 45 GW transmitting from LKO, and a Kerbstein Fusion engine on my interplanetary exploration receiver. Your advice was spot on my friend, thanks for not writing my frustrated posts off. I'm about to set off on my Kerbol exploration to hit Jool, Gilly, Eve and others. Wish me luck? Meaning i replaced thermal recievers with 8x radial rectenna and 4x pivoted rectenna. Thanks blackmoon, you the boss.
  9. Will keep an eye out for mirror thingys. 25 more hours and i should figure this out. And for the record everything else KSPI adds is awesome, havent had a problem. Just the fusion stuff and microwave generation. That's a female dog.
  10. Cool, so if I want some cheap thrust (in terms of weight) i dont need to get overly complicated with fusion, I can go direct thermal projection to a receiver attached to a thermal nozzle and Ill get boatloads of thrust? My current plan is a loop of all the Jool moons and eloo, with landings on each moon and eeloo. I was planning to attach 2 landers to the receiver module described above and just muscle through with fusion reactors. That was 125ish hours ago and you've seen my current frustration. Im going to try the rectennas configured to infrared with the multi bandwidth transceiver configured the same on the above receiver and go from there. Im thinking the best way is a generator ship and a colony ship, LOS of each other in near infrared...all assuming I can get the receivers to receive. To confirm: if i want long range power transmission near infrared is inefficient and may not work? Is there an optimal wavelength to transmit for conservation of power? And based on what ive described, what is the best transmitter to use?
  11. Paranoid, very, very paranoid. Shouldnt the Blanket Photovoltaic Beamed Power Receivers still receive power or do they need a converter as well? im gonna give it a shot with the rectenna, you havent steered me wrong yet moon!
  12. Microwave power is non-functional - 112 GW of power being projected from 400000M orbit, 650000M orbit and 1200000M ORBIT from Kerbin. 4x 32 M Microwave power receivers, each gets NOTHING from my 112 GW power generation station (or the three supplemental orbital stations). First station - Multi Bandwidth DIsh Tranciever attached to gyrotron, attached to IXS Magnetic Confinement fusion reactor, attached to a direct energy conversion reactor and a thermal reactor, one on each end. 2 2.5 m nuclear fission reactors attached, 10 'large folding radiators' attached to that section. All are directly attached to one another, there are 16 helium three round tanks (IFS Universal pressurized tanks) attached for fuel. Second stage area has two MFC Spherical Tokomak with a direct energy conversion and a charged particle generator, 8 'large folding radiators' attached to that section, thermal is in the green as per mechjeb/ksp engineer redux. They are offset adjacently on the IFS reactors wing things. My booster stations are close to that, replacing the two MFC tokomak with a Tri Alpha Colliding Beam reactor. Each has 2 2.5 m nuclear fission reactors to prime fusion. My reciever is as follows: Clamp o tron Illumintator mk 1 KW Rocketry LFTA 2-1 Short crew cabin 2-3 IFS Cargo, tweakscaled to 3.75 with lithium hydrate 2x b-10k battery computer core Tri alpha colliding beam 4x radial gold thermal dish reciever 8x large folding radiators 4xblanket photovoltaic beamed power receiver UNIVERSAL pressurized gas tank with he3 kerbstein fusion engine This receiver doesnt recieve any power. Any way to share screenshots without imigur or a website or anything? I didnt notice an attach function. Also, there is no option to connect to a specific transmitter, tranceiver etc. Is this normal or could that be loveing me?
  13. CAREFUL WITH MICROWAVE POWER, CHECK OUT BLACKMOONS EXPLANATIONS, SPOT ON.
  14. Thanks Blackmoons. Seems like i have the thing on the right mode as im getting exactly 50%. I suppose i gotta figure out near spectrum vs nuclear as i cant just strap a kerbstein to a big fn reactor and make it go. Thanks again for the help, this fusion crap is frustrating as hell especially after putting in 600 plus hours for the science to test it out. Pretty close to wiping the kspi install and giving up on the mod to be honest, all its added for me is frustration at this point as fusion (the only part of the mod i wanted) is confusing beyond all else. I had a ship on the mun on a ps4 in 20 hours, ive put 100 into figuring out fusion and all i get is mediocre power and nonfunctional beams. Seems more like a broken game than anything at this point.
  15. Upon further testing i cannot get microwave power to work, as it has become clear my 23gw reactor cannot power the 15gw engine if on the same craft, as 4gw is the maximum power i can realize from the IXS Magnetic Containment Fusion Reactor. In all honesty, is it possible to use the Kerbstein and Albuirrie engines without alt f12? I cannot get the power on a single craft and I cant get more than 10 GW of microwave transmission. Whats the secret, please help me.
  16. Thanks for the suggestion, however the IXS magnetic fusion reactor supposedly has an integrated direct energy conversion reactor to deal with the charged particles and the thermal reactor i attached directly to the backend of the is giving me 12 mw of power. its rated for 23 gw. I have 100 graphene radiator skin wrapper x2, 8 medium extendable active graphene radiators, 8 large extendable graphene radiators, 10 small extendable graphene radiators, and an inline convection radiator. there is a 3.75M FISSION reactor, two 2.75M fission reactors directly attached to the IXS as well. Based on my calculations, I should be well under the heat curve to have an efficient fusion reaction, the integrated charged particle generator should be providing full power when using He3 and the thermal reactor plus integrated direct energy should be giving me 85ish percent power with deuterium-tritium reaction. What am I doing wrong here? I have screenshots indicating the max power rating at 12.8 mw for the IXS MAGNETIC FUSION REACTOR from the 'reactor system interface' and again the reactor is rated for 23gw of thermal power. The attached thermal generator is only providing 627.298KW, with a max power rating of 58.5MW on the thermal generator. The actual IXS fusion reactor is providing 214.536 KW. I can get more power from solar...again, I am curious how I can get the rated power of these generators or if my game is completely broken. I cant attach the screenshots as I dont have a webpage or a URL but seriously, how is this thing rated for 23 GIGAWATTS if the maximum power i can get out of it is .1627 GW with a thermal reactor, an integrated direct energy conversion reactor, and three fission reactors attached to prime the pump? SO: i figured out what the issue was: I had a conflict with near future electrical. I deleted a couple patch files and am now starting to get decent power from the reactor. I found the fix here: Thanks again for the help.
  17. Kspi extended fusion reactors are broken. The ixs magnetic containment fusion reactor rated for 23 GW only gives me 12 MW, even when connected to a charged particle generator and thermal generator, what gives? Ive put 600 hours in and i have one option each for charged particle and thermal generators and neither produce power when attached to the ixs. The ixs doesnt provide more than 12 mw and when on a ship states 100 mw is its max power, its rated for 23 gw. The thermal genrator attached isnt doing anything and the chatged particle generator says there is nothing to use. Where are the thermal and charged particle converters hiding, or how do i get the 23 GW i was quoted out of the reactor? As far as i can figure the kerbstein and fusion options are only for cheating as they dont actually produce power or convert byproducts into power. Seriously, what the hell am i doing wrong or are these parts non functional?
