Help cant load game

It stops responding when you have the small symbol in the bottom right concer that's got loading next to it I left it on for about 30 minutes and still didn't load -
Hi i'm new to kerbal space program and admitted to play it today but sadly the game will begin to load and then becomes unresponsive i purchased the game through steam but sadly cant get it to load to actually play it which is really disappointing here are my PC specs AMD A4-3300 APU 8GB (3.49GB usable) RAM and a NVID GeForce GT710 graphics card any help would be appreciated thanks
