  1. You come for 3 things, and end up with a crate of IKEA Swedish meatballs. Just a whole bunch of meatballs...
  2. That was the real Jeb. The big version of him is the glitch.
  3. If your having trouble turning the plane, what I do is press Q or E, to rotate the plane and then S.
  4. I was EVAing around Ike when this happened. This is weird enough, but you can easily see Werhener Von Kerman inside Jeb. I was on the exact orbit of the magic boulder. Is this an Easter Egg?
  5. "MOAR boosters and struts" Don't dare let him take control 'cause Jeb is quite nuts I am fine with it being on twitter, but I don't have one so I can't enter it myself. Could someone else do it maybe?
  6. Why all the hate on Slate? Its like a combination of Duna and Dres
  7. I think i will qualify by the time the thread dies down, and my inbox isn't being spammed with messages.
  8. I know that does not apply to everyone, but then there are those COD addicted, $3000 dollar game system owning kids, that think anything other than shooter games are boring and nerdy, and convince everyone else that. Maybe this would be more appealing to them than say, Orbiter. @Tyko @eloquentJane @EpicSpaceTroll139 @pandaman Fixed It
  9. Kids have short attention spans, so if it is too difficult, they might just give up.
  10. Do you mean the ship or the sparks coming from my laptop when I tried to load this?
  11. I know, but the way they removed the grind from making real-life rockets and made everything in general look better, you'd think this was mostly a game trying to get kids interested in space (They literally have a version of KSP to teach kids about space). I know I am sounding confusing, but I think you can agree that KSP has a certain play style and look to it, that makes it fun to play, instead of just plain frustrating, which might attract kids to play this.
  12. Well, to be fair, KSP is growing exponentially-ish so the answers might be different. Also, I don't dare necro a thread from that far back.
  13. Sorry, I meant that if you are 18-24 OR in college. I'll change it
  14. @JStevenson I know for a fact they have redone a lot of planets since then, and I think that includes Eve. You can use the SCANsat mod to scope out a good landing spot.
  15. I know it certainly is a factor, but the question was how could one plane do the same as another one that was bigger. The fluid density would be constant so it wasn't really relevant to the question asked. With the amount of RAPIER's you strapped on that first one, I'd say yes...
  16. Sorry, I meant that if you have a higher constant thrust, it would give you a higher velocity. Not that a higher thrust contributes directly to more drag,
  17. I'm not trying to add fuel to this fire, but hear me out, guys. If Squad adds more mods that means more bugs. If there are more bugs there are more complaints. More complaints mean more bugfixes. More bugfixes mean more complaints about bugs and why there aren't more mods. Think from the perspective of a SQUAD dev. About how much time, money, and effort they took out of their OWN lives for this game. Do you think they've turned their back on KSP? They love this game just as much as we do, if not more. I can promise that KSP devs are doing all they can to change the game for the better, but these things don't happen overnight. Think of all the hours they're putting into developing... C'mon guys, just a little empathy for @SQUAD?, P.S. Sorry if off-topic, but this thread needs a chill-pill.
  18. @Snark Well, at least Jeb's happy for not being flung out into interplanetary space.
  19. I know I sound crazy, but I think the best moment in KSP i've had was the loading screen... I had so much hype built up to that point, I had waited years until I was finally allowed to get it since it was $40, and I was such a space nerd. I could've forked over 40 bucks just for that moment, and still be happy. /\ /\ This
  20. Ion engines? That's nothing. One mod I installed had an EM drive With 0 ISP (infinite)... And 0.00001 kN of thrust. Nothing Tweakscale couldn't do though.
  21. The more engines you have, the less total efficiency you have throughout the rocket, so you go a shorter distance. Also, if you have more thrust, there is more drag on your SSTO. Not to mention the extra weight and having, even more drag from your engines sticking out. That's why 3-ton rocket is able to just as much as a 50-ton rocket if you design it right. Sadly, "MOAR BOOSTERS!" does not always work (though it sure is entertaining).
  22. Good point, but then again... I don't mean that people actually studying using KSP ( I need to write a letter to the board of education!) I meant that they use it because it is related to what they are learning. Or at least, that's the excuse they give to their professors when they are late to class.
