It was from a clean install. Then for giggles I added mods and got the exact same error. Edit: Did not change anything related to KSP, just altered my page file allocation from system managed to a set value...and viola it works. Guess it wasn't mods.

Got home, installed from steam and launched and failed on the loading screen at "Loading Part Upgrades". Reinstalled and tried it again with no luck, so I figured I'd try it harder and used ckan to pop on some mods and got the exact same error message. Any assistance would be grand, even more so if I could use the knowledge of this error to make it work from my steam USB on the POS 32-bit work pc. Cheers Namod
