  1. I think either an old bug has crept back in, or perhaps the 'fix' that was put in has broken something else. I was just in the tracking station, and when I select the very first item in the list, it doesn't allow selection of any of the recover/terminate/fly buttons, I select anything else and it is fine. I tried selecting other things and going back to the first item in the list...the main list showed it as selected, and the buttons were now active, BUT when I clicked on the terminate button, the item I had selected previously was destroyed, not the item I had selected _now_.

I have not looked through all 52 pages, so just in case I missed it, here is something I'd like to see...in the tracking station, if you have identified an asteroid and are tracking it in the tracking station, there should be at least the size (weight and class category), PE, inclination of the path at PE and some sort of warning, if the current orbital track brings it into contact with Kerbin, the Mun, or Minmus. (and if someone has the ability to do so, a mod for ksp 1.8.1+ that does this would be nice as well!)

  4. I think someone needs to address another issue. Running Windows 7 (I know, now unsupported), when I try to auto update from within CKAN, I get a virus warning for an "IDP.ARES.Generic" virus. I downloaded the exe, and scanned it and no problem.
  5. I have yet to get any of the robotic parts to work _in flight_! They work fine in the VAB, they work fine on the pad, but once in space they never seem to work. And no, I'm not having a symtery issue. Here in an example, I attached a hinge to the side of a ship, on the end of the hing I have a piston, on the end of the piston I've got an advanced grabber. The program moves the hinge so the piston is sticking straight out from the ship, then it extends the piston and arms the grabber unit. Works 100% in the VAB and the launch pad, but once it is on orbit the hinge never moves when instructed to do so. I've tried moving back to the build angle, and tried again, same results . I've verified the play direction, etc. I've tried reversing it and then playing forwarded repeatedly, and once in a while, it will wiggle, but it never really changes the angle. I've even zoomed in as far as I can to see if perhaps there was some clipping or obstruction and I can find nothing.I've also verified that there is electrical charge (plenty) available. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Has anyone else had issues where you select 'switch tank' from the menu, change a tank to one of the other options, and it looks fine in the VAB, but once you get to the pad, or while in flight, it shows the original contents? For example I was changing a stock LFO tank to hold hydrazine for some new thrusters. Looks fine in the VAB, but once the vessel is moved to the pad, the tank now shows a full load of LFO, and my thrusters don't work, because they don't have the right fuel. Same holds true if I go with stock thrusters, and change the tank to monoprop.
  7. Here is a little more...GC = Garbage Collection. I'm still getting these occasionally, after upgrading to KSP 1.8.1 with Breaking Ground 1.3.1. What sites can I add images from (it doesn't seem to like FB as a source URL)
  8. How can you not have full control of a vessel on the ground at the KSC?
  9. I searched but didn't see anything similar in the forums. I've got a jet powered surface vehicle using the first landing gear set...one steerable front wheel and two fixed rear wheels, and a single jet engine. Some of the time throttle control and steering work, some of the time they don't...no steering, and only full throttle or no throttle. I've had all 4 of the first kerbonauts drive it successfully, and yet other times, using the same vehicle, I've got only full throttle or no throttle, and no steering. Has anyone else seen this? I'm not running any aircraft mods at all. I've only seen this on ksp 1.8+ with the latest Breaking Ground.
  10. gc as in that is what is reported, and there is a ksp_x64_gc.log file, which I have included the contents of in the original post...as well as the last part of the ksp_x64.log, because when I tried to post the entire log, it wouldn't let me click submit. Note that I also get a popup, with Jeb (I think it's Jeb anyway) in a space suit, that just says "GC", has a progress bar, which does fill up, then the game exits.

  12. It is very helpful for the people doing the troubleshooting, if you would supply a list of mods you have installed (I'm assuming you have mods because this is the forum for modded installs), and any log files.

  16. I've got a related problem. I've had no problem finding green sandstone on Minmus. The way I find them is to first send a small unmanned 'hopper' lander and land near the edges of the greater and lesser flats, then I take short hops around the edges. It is easiest when the sun is not very high in the sky, because then the shadows are easier to pick out. Once I have them located I send a manned mission and target the landing near the unmanned probe, and viola. I've picked up more than 6 in the last week, for different contracts. Now to the problem. The first two contracts were completed successfully, but after that, while I get the 150 science points upon returning to Kerbin, the contract says I have not completed the mission. I saw that someone else on a different forum was having a similar issue, but I didn't see any solution. Note that I realize _some_ missions require a new ship to be used for the contract, so I typically build a new one, but that hasn't made any difference, and the contract hasn't specified any other parameters, other than to return green sandstone to Kerbin from Minmus. Has anyone else here seen this? Have any suggestions? I forgot to mention, when I leave Minmus, and dock with my return ship, I _am_ going EVA, and doing 'Take data', and then getting into the return capsule. I see the data transfer to the return capsule. I just did his again...went to Minmus, landed, had my scientist go eva, found 'green sandstone', climbed on it, pulled up my kerbal's action menu. did the pickup, went back to my lander, got in, back to orbit, docked, did the eva to get data moved, got back to Kerbin, and the contract still hasn't been completed.
  17. I tried changing many things, like the toggle torque, and using the same keys I would use for translation controls...none of that works. I know it is somehow tied to the reaction wheels...

In the last couple of weeks, if I use a rovemate as the base for my rovers, I've noticed that if I use W to accelerate forward, my rovers nosedive and try to roll over forward, and when I brake, they roll backwards. I'm NOT talking about the wheels rolling in the right direction, I'm talking about the whole rover! Has anyone else seen this?

I just discovered another fault...I know this mod is not supported/released for it, I'm running ksp 1.6.1...I love the configurable containers mod, and I too have seen the symmetry isse (note when I try greater than 2x, the mirrored parts seem to be offset in the wrong direction,,,they appear "in the floor of the VAB") it also breaks the per stage delta-v information, and the burn time calcs as well (the burn "bar" next to the nav ball is always red, even with full tanks and a short burn).
  20. Not sure if this is the place to make suggestions or not, but here goes. I would like to be able to uninstall lab equipment...sure maybe it can't be re-installed, but you could then use a single module to do all of them. Also, I've got a suggestion for a new experiment..."foamed metal"...metal is brought to a molten state in micro-G, then a gas is bubbled through the liquid as it is cooled, to form a much lower density item with most of the structural strength of the original metal. After a few experimental passes, perhaps release a foamed metal processing unit to produce light weight panels and or tubes, on orbit, for bigger construction projects.
  21. I've got a suggestion. I'm not sure if this is the right place or not. I'd like a 'crew' tab or crew info window, available in flight. Something that lists info on each kerbonaut, possibly just on the currently active vessel. It can list some simple info, like name, class (pilot, engineer, scientist), current mission time in space/on orbit, total number of missions, and total time in space. It would help with knowing which to rotate out of a station etc.

  23. I've still got problem with the SEP station not staying put. I downloaded the latest in a KSP 1.6 install. I did a couple of missions to deploy one at Kerbin's northern ice shelf and one at the southern ice shelf. I went back to the northern installation to collect data, and as soon as the scene loaded, the central station started bouncing up and down, then exploded. Note I did attach the modules to the ground _without any tools_.
  24. Nope...I'm in science not career, about half way through the tech tree, and all facilities are marked as fully upgraded.
