  1. Intergalactic is too much; But interstellar, why not? But before even thinking all this, we need a proper running game as it is, I think interstellar stuff would appear as a DLC/expansion rather than the updates we see, it's best to focus on what's happening right now, the current solar system needs to be finished, career mode needs to be polished up and ready, after that, it's just a matter of adding new solar systems (I wouldn't expect alot, 10 at the grand maximum), adding new late-tech stock parts for getting to other solar systems, and then adding the career missions & science and research. But intergalactic is way too much, even if scaled down. Perhaps galaxies could show in the skybox background as decoration, reminding us of IRL galaxies, with a slight little kerbal-ish difference.
  2. Maybe they could add animations of the experiments (like the EVA sample scooping, and animations when they do an EVA report -like a happy or sad face depending on the report-). There'll probably be a way to have Science for fun in Sandbox, idk
  3. I don't mean to bust your bubble but, it would be useless to do Science in Sandbox, because the aim for it is to do research for parts, which you already have all of them in Sandbox. Perhaps in the future all Career Missions could be accessed in Sandbox -once you unlock & complete them in Career first, otherwise it would be cheaty to practise the Mission in Sandbox- and be played for pure fun, since there is no need to earn money or anything ~cause it's Sandbox~.
  4. So about Career Mode, So far it's awesome, mostly fun and interesting, a bit of weird things and flaws, like the fact that you're sending a kerbal straight away into space, whereas IRL unmanned satellites were launched into space before sending any living being. And then some things in the tech tree are sometimes weirdly placed, but overall good. The idea of sending things to space for better technology is great, it gives us objectives to send things to space. ..But after a while there's still a lacking of objectives. Maybe in future updates you should start planning objectives/missions for the Space Program, organised either by researchers/scientists (which is already implemented, the science experiments in space), but also missions given to you by either a Kerbal Government (military/government satellites to send into certain orbits, etc), by the media (broadcasting satellites and weather satellites), companies and corporations interested in space (communication satellites, and corporations investing in your space program for further down the line making commercial space flights), and commercial space flights (in the beginning companies investing and seeing if they can get a bargain out of it, and if it works out both the company and the Space Program will gain profit and will launch commercial flights for civilians). Public Interest and Government Interest should be a thing that could potentially boost your Space Program, increasing your budget, and can help you research more and be able to produce better rockets. Failing these missions would decrease your popularity to both these Interests, which will make both of them investing far less or not at all (maybe you could set a Difficulty for this). Of course I'm not expecting all of this to come in a bang, for now the devs are focused on getting the Science polished up and done. As for that, maybe in future updates down the road focus on later technologies (which would probably new late-tech parts). And maybe sort out the tech tree a bit more . And as for Training & Scenarios, this really isn't a priority in development, but I was wondering whether they would still be useful or not? Maybe implement them into Career Mode, that way starting Career Mode will ask you whether you wish to start the tutorial/training or not, and you can check whether you want the message to appear again or not (same could go for Sandbox), and Scenarios could just merged into Missions, unless of course there could be Scenarios seperate from Career & Sandbox, that could actually be challenging. Feel free to comment, add or improve anything to what I said, or point out things that should or shouldn't be done/implemented.
  5. I will pop a bottle of champagne when .21 comes out! The first thing I will do in .21 will be [REDACTED]!!!!!
  6. I have no regrets transfering to Steam, the auto updates are very handy, and for those complaining about that feature well you can downgrade back to previous versions now. After that, what people really vote for when they vote on this poll is whether they like Steam or not, I've seen there's alot of Steam haters on these forums, but I personally don't regret it, I used to cry the time I was through KSP store, cause of the server crashes, and now on Steam the auto updates are really fast, and Steam is pretty easy for sharing stuff to friends like screenshots etc. So at the end of the day change for what you think is best.
  7. Welcome, fellow Kerbal! This is a roleplay I'm planning on doing, taking place at the beginning of Private Space Exploration in the Kerbal Society. Since I'm currently in School and full up with exams, this little storyteller might take a while to update etc. BUT near middle/end of June you will definitely see more of Starflare Space Industries. Note: This series in the beginning will be fully Stock, but MAYBE in the future I might add 2 or 3 lightweight mods that add to the roleplay (i.e. Mapsat, Damned robotics for space stations...) About Starflare, and it's objectives: Starflare is a multi-kerbionnaire organization founded by none other than Bomfred Kerflare, the son of the well known Jerrfil Kerflare, who worked hard for the Kerbal Population worldwide. Thanks to the advancing progress the Government Space Agencies have made all these years, Private Space Faring has become a thing. Starflare is the first Private company to have been founded and already preparing numerous launches to orbit the Kerbin. What's Starflare's goal? To advance Kerbality into a new age, the Government is too slow and constantly lowering it's Space budget, so Starflare will insure proper Space Exploration, and will plan to make Space, and the outer worlds of the Solar System, a new home, for all... Missions -Mission 1: Launching Pegasus 1 into a stable orbit around Kerbin, and establishing connection to Mission Control. (In Progress) >>Description: Everything needs to begin somewhere, and Starflare needs to ensure that; it can actually send kerbonauts into Space safely and be able to make contact at Mission Control, located at the newly founded Starflare Space Center, located at Eastern Kerbfrica. -Mission 2: Launch 2 Pegasus 2 ships into identic orbit and execute safe rendezvous and docking. (In development) Listed to be continued... That's it for now, stay tuned in the near future! Please note I'm in school and that I'll only be able to update this on weekends. (Until mid-June ofc). Bon voyage! ©Starflare Corporation owns all rights and SRBS of Starflare Space Industries, Starflare Outer-Worlds, Starflare Stations Inc. and Starflare Lawnmowers & Toaster Engineering.
  8. I tried making a flag from scratch, and came up with something nice in 2 minor variations: Just a tiny difference between the two, I like both so it's all up to you guys which one you like I used the flags for my sort of roleplay space company: The font I used btw is the "Soldier" font I found on Dafont: http://www.dafont.com/soldier.font
  9. This is mine I'm irish, so that's why I took the irish flag in the background.
  10. I definitely want a Saturn analogue, I wouldn't even mind if it looked exactly like it. But I would want it either a nice deep sea kind of blue colour with dark saturn like rings. If not that, a nice red sort of Saturn would be good too. After that, a frozen terra with a cold grayish or gray-blue atmosphere (perhaps with snowy weather when that gets implemented). A carbon planet would seem right, since it would need to be in around the Kerbin orbit range, maybe in a future star's system? I think Squad will probably stick to our solar system layout mostly for planets, which would be 3 more gas giants and maybe a binary dwarf planet system in resemblance of Pluto and Charon.
  11. As much as I dreamed to be a KSP Test team, I really don't fit what you're looking for . 16 years old and using a PC. Gah.. Good to see the Test Team is growing though, more testers means more results, and bugs and glitches will get fixed faster! Keep up the awesome job Squad and Test Team! Even though planets are way over my reach right now, I'm enjoying overshooting them *chuckle*.
  12. Of course, all of this is fitting together.. or we're forcing puzzle pieces together (which would end quick for us in that case) Magic Boulder... I hope it's bigger than it sounds, hopefully something the size of Bop or Gilly (even though that's going to be hell to find between Jool and Duna..
  13. Love the idea, and your concept. That cockpit sure was well chosen for the IVA hehe. This may sound impossible, but I wonder if there's a possibility to land on more than 1 planet or moon by modifying this, I don't know how good that would do though in fuel-mass ratio. I'm definitely downloading Tataros II because it's pretty damn awesome, and I'll see if I can do some additions and share them here if they're any good. Good job Bro!
  14. I had a quick read through this thread, you all seem to be obsessed with docking, I honestly think that's a feature that's going to happen later on, it's going to be big when it comes so I think it should have an update of it's own, so Squad should implement the rest of what's in progress, and then focus on the complex parts. I think 0.18 is going to be an interplanetary update, with many features overhauling what you can do on a planet/moon. 0.18 Interplanetary Update + Overhauls/Bug Fixes New Features: -More Planets and their moons (minimum 2 planets I presume would be added with one of them having at least 1 moon). -Flight Planning (Interplanetary or relative to a planet and it's moon) -More mission scenarios and tutorials /-Overhauled Stock parts (retextures of 1 meter parts cause they don't fit the command pod in my opinion) /-New Parts (More interplanetary equipement, rovers*, maybe another advanced (or moderate) technology version of parts) -IVA Phase 2 (Doing the rest of the command modules and overhauling current ones, etc) /-EVA Features (Could be good for scenarios ex: landing and collecting certain materials..) /-WIP of Atmosphere conditions (weather, MAYBE re-entry conditions, more realistic colours..) *= Rover parts like wheels, unique command pods or something, or maybe a new detachable module connected to the main lander that will be a rover (with a certain amount of seats) (Anything feature listed with a slash in front is what I think they MIGHT add if they have the time, otherwise the rest I think they WILL add). Bug Fixes: -Cthulu-Buster (like Krakensbane but fixing whatever this mysterious Space Cthulu is doing with the warp speeds) -The names of moons from other planets appearing while focused on 1 planet In the Map View (I noticed All the moons appearing from the planets while being at Kerbin, happens no matter where you are focused, it's a minor bug really) -Bugs that we will find throughout the next days.... (DUN DUN DUN........) I really see Squad focusing on an Interplanetary Update once again, not point leaving stuff unfinished and attacking a whole new ball-game, otherwise we would be left with too many unfinished features that would end in all sorts of bugs and glitches.. That's all I got to say Folks!
  15. Since we know nothing about Charr/Lava planet, the suspense is killing me! I have to ask though, would it be tidally locked? If so that would mean that the lava side of the planet would be facing Kerbol, and the planet would have a really really cold and dark side, I think that's what tidally locked planets are like. And since it's a lava planet I presume there would be an atmosphere of somekind, since the volcanoes and such would be spewing gas all the time. One last question, will Charr resemble Io (Jovian moon) or will it be another type of lava planet (think of what the spore lava planets looked like, even though that might not be possible in real life). That's all
