  1. Alright I've inserted a sat into range for a visual scan of Thalia. I was able to move the first probe over to Eta so at least I'll get the Thalia system mapped. I'm not sure it'll be worth dropping a rover down to Thalia's surface. I don't know how I can build something that will handle the heat! I'm loving the biome names though so maybe I can sort something out later on. Thank you to the GPP team! https://www.dropbox.com/s/rv484vbz1z40feo/screenshot11.png?dl=0
  2. Dude no need to apologize! That's what makes it fun and why I'm not trying to read a lot about the planets is so I get a genuine experience. Honestly I'm what 2 planets from the star in this system? I have no cooling capabilities in the design lol. Who's fault is that
  3. So I've been playing pretty blindly and have just completed my first interplanetary transfer to... Thalia. My probe unfortunately doesn't have any thermal dissipation capabilities (I didn't know Thalia was pouring heat out of it) so I can hardly break 500k km before heating becomes a problem. Thankfully I noticed the heating issue around 600-700ish km and dumped a ton of fuel to bring my orbit up from certain death at 300km. Coupled with a 45ish second signal delay and it made for some spicy moments trying to get into orbit. I had to settle for an elliptical orbit so it can cool off before dipping back in again. Lack of fuel means this is the final resting place for this probe. Attached is the probe heating up with Thalia looming in on the right! https://www.dropbox.com/s/ubex9foryk8bmrd/screenshot2.png?dl=0
  4. Are we allowed to post our photos or achievements we've made in a play through on this forum? I figure something different from "please help my game that has 84 mods in the build is broken" would be appreciated.
  5. I get it. Just providing what I can despite the lack of logs. I was able to bypass the issue by not sitting in the tracking station on time warp and waiting for the contract to execute. As always, I appreciate your help. So very glad that GPP and GEP are out there for simpletons such as myself.
  6. Of course now that I brag about the lack of issues, I've generated one. As others previous, I am getting a random memory leak around Day 17 hour 2-4 when completing a SCANSAT contract. It is not generating a log, but I ran my task manager side by side while time warping to watch for when it occurs. The leak triggers as the contract is executing as complete. I know it's useless info without logs. I'm just posting to see if it helps others to recreate the issue and perhaps narrow down a solution. @OhioBob, what is your mod list? I will delete my set and install to play a mirror of yours.
  7. Sorry for being late to the party. I have not experienced any freezing or crashes (yet) with the current iteration of GPP. I'm not sure if GPP has been updated since this topic came to rise though. Currently running 92 mods, and aside from the typical medium-ish load time, the set up has been running smooth for me.
  8. I'm playing a pretty extensive mod list as well so it is going to be an intense challenge. I think the most difficult aspect will be the fact that RemoteTech is installed so I wonder how many remote command stations I'll need between GSP and the GEP system!
  9. One day I will finally reach the Grannus SOI. I've finally got a toaster that can crunch GPP + GEP and I've never been so excited. Thank you for all that you do!
  10. Hey guys! Long time user and fan of GPP (literally can't play KSP without playing in this universe - what a fantastic job by those who have worked so intensely on this mod, thank you so much). I know that general issues without logs are not received happily but I'm hoping this one could slide. What were to happen if I tried to run GPP + GEP without EVE or scatterer? Would it just be a generally bland experience similar to a stock KSP game? Thanks again guys.
  11. @Galileo so I sorted the crash on boot access errors but now I'm getting duplicating issues in game. For example, every decal is duplicated as well as some settings menus. Is this because of mods being installed incorrectly? Also thank you for the quick reply. I've been working the issue and didn't think to come back and check lol.
  12. Hey guys been a long time since I've been able to play some KSP. I had some RL events that took me away from the community. Anyway I'm trying to get it re-installed properly and am somehow getting access errors causing crashes on boot with 16G of memory. Attached is my mod list, what all do I need to remove to alleviate the problem? All other suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks for all you do! https://www.dropbox.com/s/nlmxfzy4yiplb8j/Mod list 1.PNG?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/5b5wtxn4mol8pdn/Mod list 2.PNG?dl=0
  13. @JadeOfMaar just discovered your EveOnline texture replacers and I must give you a huge thanks. I had to walk away from Eve for personal reasons (a common theme among hardcore players as you might know) after playing for 8 years. I have a very storied history in that world and have made serious long term friendship with folks through Eve. Eve also gave me a taste of what it's like to get paid to play a video game (I was a pretty successful FC within the Goons Coalition) and the flood of memories I get when I throw it back to the good days of gaming is truly surreal. Your pack has seriously touched me and I wanted to thank you for the efforts on your end. Thank you and the rest of the GPP team for all y'all do. Fly safe! o7
  14. @JadeOfMaar well done mate! It's super streamlined now. Personally it's made me want to reinstall again to make sure I've got all the bits and pieces in order, though, now that I've got GPP running smoothly I'm not sure I want to restart again lolol!
  15. No that includes all applications running together. It spikes to the low 90s when changing screens from the VAB or SAH to their coresponding launch areas. I still think you're correct in stating the need for more RAM though. There's no real logical explanation for the crashing otherwise and I don't want to remove mods that pretty up the game as I'd like to post some nice screen grabs for y'all to comment on when I get the career matured in the coming weeks!
  16. Fair enough. I understand that as it's got more to load and all. Welp thanks for the help and spending the time with a novice such as myself@Galileo . I guess I'll have to wait for the new stick to arrive. If I might make this comment - when I ran GPP with the mod list I have and task manager open, it shows the RAM usage in the mid 70s while the GPU spikes from 0 to 100 (real quick) and then it seems like the system backs up and crashes. Would it be wrong to theorize that my older GPU simply can't take the work load and that's where the issue is originating? If so would simply adding a new stick of RAM even sort the problem then?
  17. Hahaha of course after I was boasting about no issues with 8GB RAM. I find that hugely odd since I hadn't changed anything about what was installed. Any tips for rectifying the issue beyond buying another stick of RAM (it's otw), dialling back settings, or uninstalling demanding mods (I think the stock part revamp is the primary resource drain on my system as that takes a good while to load up)?
  18. Any chance someone had an opening to check out the log I linked? Apologies if I'm being needy, just hoping to avoid going through each mod one by one.
  19. Cool, go crazy mate. I don't know much about coding or anything beyond the basics of much programming wise so I'm hoping y'all can sort me!
  20. @Galileo @linuxgurugamerdoes this link work for y'all? https://www.dropbox.com/sh/u8f8rmnmclfv4ri/AAADjHqgdZTiuCwYEq6wPkGla?dl=0
  21. Wondering if someone can tell me how to link a crash folder for y'all to read through so I can figure out why my game data folder keeps crashing KSP. I don't see an option in the to link files in the post editor.
  22. @JadeOfMaar Hey mate got a chance to finish installing all my mods through your instructions page. Have a look at what I suggested (I'll tag you in the post over there) and do with it what you will. Thanks again to the whole GPP team for all your work!
  23. So after bragging about GPP's performance on my PC, something broke and it's causing massive issues and even causing my GPU to crash. Unable to fix it, I've started a fresh install. The instructions for texture replacer and final frontier are quite vague and I can't recall off-hand where to properly merge them. Can someone please refresh my memory? Thanks! JK I remembered, but my point about a couple of the mods having rather vague install instructions still stands. I'll continue to edit this post as I methodically re-install my 50+ mods. UPDATE 1: The USI Catalog is rather misleading to install and seems redundant. I'd streamline that set of instructions to separate them out as unique installs or broaden the instructions and incorporate all of the individual aspects into one big "THIS IS USI HAVE FUN" category. As it stands it just feels... odd. I think an install procedure that is super user friendly and doesn't leave any "figure it out on your own" type of wording will make GPP the place to send folks new to the game. I mean hell this thing is better than the stock game Squad gave us. UPDATE 2: I would do your best to organize things like parts packs, visuals, tools, life support add ons, and immersion mods into the relative same category based on their classification. I found lots of redundancies sprinkled throughout that seemed to slow the process down (I was not able to dedicate lots of time to my PC this past weekend but the install process took me around 4 hours in total working casually.). I would suggest just going back and working back through it and organize it to your liking. Again, I appreciate the effort on your end so please don't misconstrue my comments as criticism! @JadeOfMaar
  24. Hey guys! I must say this mod is what I felt KSP was meant to be and I cannot get enough play time on this mod. I hope y'all keep working it and make it the go to PP for KSP. I'd like to point out that I see a lot of stress over this mod really needing 16G of RAM. I'm running 53 mods on 8GB of RAM (my board does have room for another 2 sticks) and see virtually no issues beyond a totally bearable seconds wait while loading ships onto the launchpad or runway. My rig is in its 4th year and its GPU and processor are as follows : intel i3-4330 3.5GHz processor, NVIDEA GTX 750 Ti I think it's worth noting I run KSP through a 1T SSD that isn't even a quarter full. I run texture replacer on default settings (I haven't really tried messing around with it on what is now my 3rd career start on GPP but I do notice a difference in quality with it installed) and KSP graphics settings on high/max. I admit I haven't really tried to stress the PC and I do have the processor overclocked a bit so perhaps I should try to test its limits to give you guys some feedback on what the limits of 8GB RAM truly are. Looking forward to what y'all are working next!
