But what could they have possibly done then? I mean those are some very thick, clumsy spacesuits... Yeah, fat chance! But it looks like kerbals are more disciplined than humans... Also, I can picture Zigbald talking to the newbs, "Now listen, I know you are young, but keep this in mind: We don't have baby diapers. Do you want to clean up the mess in 0g?" That would have been a really effective motivator! This is really interesting! I will keep an eye out!

Will it be alright if I make a few models for you to include in the mod pack? I want to be of help, if you wish it to be...

Well, some chapters would deal with PTSD and recovery from emotional trauma... some chapter deal with effects of isolation and betrayal, my future chapters would deal with straight out planetary bombardment, with graphic display of loss of life... I think I will have to at least rewrite a ton of it, to keep the content 'family-friendly'... Well, Tom and Jerry featured electrocution, blunt force trauma, vehicular cat-slaughter, immolation, explosions, bullying and so much more, and it was still 'Family-Friendly'... different folks, different strokes I guess..

I have played factorio but not ARK.. I was talking about games like Last Day on Earth:Survival but on PC and not requiring the internet. Mmhmm that game always 'irked' me for some reason...

Oh so you want complaints,OK... how about this: KSP forum is excessively regulated, and it has become a pile of rules, just a pile of rules.. Now do I have to get every chapter of my mission report checked by a moderator???? I guess I will just post what I do in the WDYDIKSP thread. Those were non complaints, sure, but they were assurances and acknowledgements. Something I sorely needed as a sad person! I am still sad, and I looked for those assurances and they were gone! Now I am sad AND angry!!!! If other forums are like a post apocalyptic dystopia, this forum is like that highly regulated perfect utopia which, despite its good intentions will one day go burning in hell! Will you remove this post because I used the word 'hell'? I will be waiting for that moment and when it arrives, good bye KSP forum!! I have burnt plenty of bridges why not this one as well?

So, this is more of a question.. but do you all know some good games with tech trees and maybe survival elements?

I applied for an internship in a CFD company. I have a good resume, I have done several CFD projects. I waited for their mails. Yesterday evening, they called me in the evening, for a telephonic interview. I could not receive it. I tried calling them back, several times , but the number would always be busy. Today, I contacted the professor who was responsible for arranging this company's internship drive and told him about it. He said, nonchalantly, "Can't fault them, they did call you twice, hun." And I lost it. I have never shouted at a man 25 years my senior. But today I did. "They called at 5:12 PM, That's not working hours, HUN! They called me the next time at 5:13 PM. If I didn't pick up at 5:12, how the heck would I pick up at 5:13, HUN! There was no email from this company about this interview, heck they haven't even detailed the payment and other information, what about that, HUN!??!!!!!" I think I burnt a few bridges today... I am sad.. sad and stupid...

parts [1.12.x] Karbonite/Karbonite Plus (K+)
Nivee~ replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I landed on a karbonite rich vein on Minmus, engaged my drills, and this happened: There's no way to extract karbonite... What am I doing wrong? -
MechAlucard: Every time a kerbonaut dies in the game, Jeb gets one more life by stealing their soul. If Jeb gets 2 million souls, then he becomes a disrespectful arrogant prick, and will start work for HeavenDance Foundation...

Astroneer! I just started it, and it's sooooo lovely and beautiful! Except when you run out of oxygen, then you die..

But mechjeb has the Nyan cat on the loading screen today!

For Questions That Don't Merit Their Own Thread
Nivee~ replied to Skyler4856's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Yup! We call it Brihaspati, the teacher of Gods. According to our mythology, he counsels Gods on stuff and is good friends with the easily irritable Shani (Saturn, God of Justice). He has a professional rivalry with Shukra(Venus), since Shukra is the teacher of Demons. Demons regularly challenge and defeat Gods despite being mortal and born several degrees weaker than Gods. This implies Shukra(Venus) is the better teacher, and of course, it irritates Brihaspati(Jupiter). -

Thanks, i will try it... but why in the name of Kraken do imperial units even exist???? Measurement is the most basic branches of mathematics, something every human does, almost every day, and we still don't have a common standard for this? Oh and please nobody tell me that 'There are 2 types of countries: those who follow metric units, and those who went to the Moon' garbage.. -

Say, if I want to convert a value in btu/(hr*ft2*oF) to kJ/(s*m2*K), how do I do it? I mean I get it for all other quantities, but I am a lil unsure about oF..... -
Books with rockets and spaceships graphics?
Nivee~ replied to Nivee~'s topic in Science & Spaceflight
I have, at all local online bookstores, to no avail (of course I am not going to look for it at every bookshop in my country!).... No copy of this book, new or old or torn, in my country... For a country of a billion people, no one really cares about space travel here unless it validates their jingoism.. Maybe requesting a bookshop to get this from overseas would help, but new copies of this book are in the range of 50-60 $ + customs and other taxes, not something I can spend lightly! -

Who will be next to land people on the Moon?
Nivee~ replied to Ol’ Musky Boi's topic in Science & Spaceflight
I also think it is going to be China. Unlike other countries with space programs, they have an added advantage: the ability to focus and chase a goal without any political distractions. Sure, there will be light power tussles, but those would be miniscule, compared to the politicking in democracies. Nope for Russia, for obvious reasons... *coughcrewdragoncough* Blue Origins is painfully slow and has no ambition to land on the moon, unless there's profit in it... America...hmmm....why is that even an option?? An international effort? Nope, just nope... It's like a project group in school... two kids will do all the work in a group of 6, and when the project is completed, all 6 will fight to take credit....... I am pretty sure it would take them 2 years to decide on the decals of the spaceship.. And another year to decide who's going to walk on the Moon first, and we still can't discount a particularly zealous Taikonaut, shoving a Cosmonaut and a Gaganaut aside to be the first to walk on the moon, shouting "HAIL HYDRA!!" But by the Gods i want SpaceX to win!! -
Books with rockets and spaceships graphics?

Realistic, but speculative. How guys in the 1960s imagined the 21st century to be, in terms of space travel. It would not hurt if they were a bit detailed.. Realistic Astrofuturism, thats what I am talking about. I follow these websites: http://spacethatneverwas.tumblr.com/ http://realspaceships.tumblr.com/ -
Hi, I am looking for books like Anatoly Zak's Russia in space, books with a great deal of rocket and space related illustrations and concept designs. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Energy generation from Aluminium and Water: Feasible or snake oil?
Nivee~ replied to Nivee~'s topic in Science & Spaceflight
I have been reading about the 'Theranos' fiasco, and this guy's approach is almost the same... befuddle the layman, and try to scoop all the funding.. Seriously, calling him a 'disruptor' is just going overboard... -
Not KSP, but related to it~ Z-9 engine of the Vega P-120 First stage booster of Vega. Both models rendered in blender. What's remarkable is that the P-120 engine looked like this in it's earliest transition. I won't say that my engines look great, but its a significant improvement, and I have finally established a proper design philosophy around which I need to work. Thanks to a couple of REAAALLLLYYYYY helpful guys! EDIT: Made this too :3 Z-40C. Vega Second stage.
