  1. I am looking for some basic geometry tools for plotting maneuvers etc. just a simple ruler to mark a tangent and a protractor to measure some angles. Is there anything like that out there? I don't want a calculator or any other cheats or help just the ability to measure a few degrees on an orbit, that kind of thing.
  2. I have a sneaky suspicion that the mission builder will make stand alone scenarios and not a contract for you to pick up in the mission control building.
  3. I don't think so from what i read of it, this creates stand alone mission scenarios, like "do the moon landings" and is not a contract to be picked up in the career sandbox.
  4. I have had a look at what squad are proposing but I suspect it won't do what I want. Shame really because a chill game like that should not have me rage quitting. But it does.. and i wont by putting any more hours into it.
  5. No contract configurator does not do what i need. I want to be able the tweak a contract on offer then and there in the mission control building. Or even make one from scratch. Like a blank template: Pick a part, pick a location. Pick alt and speed. I don't need to cheat to a point where i want to award myself a gazillion science for testing a heat shield on the launch pad, but i do want to choose what part I test and where I test it.
  6. Firstly there are too many ridiculous ones like test jet engine SPLASHED DOWN. SOLID BOOSTER in ORBIT. Surprised we don't get test 'shute or jet engine on mun. Test faring on launch pad? There is no test button (!!) you have to pop the faring! Next problem: If I start by picking, say, "plant flag on X".. I want subsequent missions offered to me to take this into consideration and offer me more test in or around the same location. Aslo if i pick test engine X on mun allow me to do multiple test on the same part say in sub-orbit orbit and landed on mun, I'm not going to take 3 different engines am i?
  7. Not quite sure what to make of your answer. When i say "Contract Configurator is not the answer" I mean that people respond with that and it does not do what I am asking it to do. I was hoping that someone in the modding community shared the frustration and we might see the mod i think the game needs.
  8. This is exactly why a contract tweak mod would be so useful. If the alt and speed requirements are too far off the mark, wouldn't it be awesome if you could edit the values then and there in the mission control building?
  9. Hi all. Just joined but have been playing KSP for some time now. Actually joined to post in the add-on section as i am in desperate need of a contract tweaking mod. Spamming decline in the mission control building to get a handful of sensible and coherent missions together for 30 mins just isn't game play IMO.. Anyhoo.. keep adding moar boosters
  10. My main gripe with this game is the following: The contracts. And no, contract configurator is not the answer. I really want to play career mode but spend 2 hours trying to find a hand full of coherent contracts by spamming "decline" until something useful pops up! So I start with a "plant flag on mun" for example. Then cycle through some nonsense missions test solid fuel booster in orbit around X.. or test jet engine splashed down.. please someone put some intelligence into the RNG! If I have selected a plant flag on mun mission offer me tests that involve the MUN! Also allow me to do multiple tests on the same part, I am not going to take 3 different engines there am I ?! So allow me to test engine X in sub-orbit, orbit and surface of mun for example. I would like to go to the mission control building. Pick a mission on offer and tweak it. Don't like the part? Change it. Don't like the location? Change it. Don't like the altitude of the orbit? Change it.. etc. Rather than having to decline missions repeatedly for 30 mins till i get a mission for the part i want in a location I want. My latest discovery "test fairing X on launch pad". In my innocence I thought there would be a test button like the heat shield. HA! No they expect you to pop the bloody thing ON THE LAUNCHPAD! Made me rage quit again. I can't be the only one frustrated by this?
