  1. Sorry to necro this post but incase someone searches this out. After some failures I figured out the issue -- the tutorial before they rate limit the swivel to 75% thrust and the 2 SBs to 65%. However the rocket in the Go for Orbit tutorial has both set to 100%. This is causes all kinds of issues. I played around with it a bit and once you hit Z like the tutorial tells you, hit next then reduce the throttle down to about 45% thats the second T in the word Throttle on your gauge. Once you decouple the SBs do not go full throttle, instead bring it up to 75% and when that burns out make sure to hit Z to go full throttle on the terroir engine. Best to let Val drive if you new on this one.
  2. Hey guys thanks for the replies, did a full uninstall and reinstall and it works fine now. I think it was just such an old version (I am not sure how long I have had the game) that with so many patches over the years and now add the DLCs something got corrupted. I couldnt get the debug menu up actually - is it still alt-f12 for the PC version?
  3. Haven't played Kerbal in some time so I figured I would come back and check out the new stuff. Issue is as soon as I leave Kerbal orbit all my controls except esc to menu and right clicking the fuel tanks have stopped working. I have tried 12 times with several builds and read up on several pages on the net. Tried alt f12 and my debug menu does not come up at all, has this changed in the PC version? Also Does this have something to do with new maneuver menus? Deleted all my saves, and started fresh and tried several different ship builds. No matter what I do as soon as I leave Kerbal orbit I have no control of my ship. Tried in both sandbox and science mode. Should I uninstall the game and trying reinstalling? Rather frustrating at this point, if anyone could help or has any ideas - at this point I can not play the game. Thank you! PS the only mod I have installed in MechJeb which I tried removing and still doesn't work. I have all the DLCs installed and the game is up to date.

  5. Junior Rocket Scientist my a$$.... LOL ok so I couldn't delete the whole folder because I am using EVE clouds and boulderCO sits in there so I dropped the kopernicus folder which holds the solarpanel.cfg file and BAM it works!!!! Thanks a ton man - seriously. I have wasted at least 8 hours this week trying to figure this out. You are the absolute best!
  6. Logs https://www.dropbox.com/s/acikxks168gxba5/output_log.txt?dl=0 I am using the latest version of Mod Manager 3.0.7, tried 6 also and no go. So I installed Kopernicus and guess what? They start working, the problem with that is it makes all my planets look like one color blobs. So here are my choices so far - green and grey blobs for planets and I get to use 95% of the cool mods out there or really cool looking planets and I get to use about 3 to 4 mods. I also removed all folders that mods where not using, uninstalled all mods, add mod manager - issue persists, add green blob kopernicus and the issue is resolved. I did a integrity check with Steam and it did find one issue and fixed it but still no go. I dont think its the computer unless its because its too new, as its only a week old. As far as power goes I doubt thats it either - Alienware Aurora R7 i7-8600 6 core 3.2 g, Intel optane 16gig 2666, and a Nvidia 1070 8gb ddr 4 with all updates (direct x 11 or 12 beta) I hope these logs are useful, I dont get alot of game time and I spent the last weeks worth trying to get this to work and at this point its really frustrating. Thanks for any help you guys can provide.
  7. Sorry for the late reply. It turned out to be module manager. I removed all mods and only added EVE and Boulderco, plantetary base and mechjeb - panels work fine. Added module manager and they stop working. Checked solar panels Cfg file and I noticed retractable is set to false but changing it to true does nothing. Also I don’t believe this will fix them not collecting energy. Without module manager I’m stuck with only the few mods you see above which sucks. Also when I did some googling I find that kopernicus is the issue for others having this problem with module manager and they delete a media file and solar panels start working. Problem with that is I’ve never used kopernicus - don’t even have a folder for it. Bah - the whole thing sucks lol would love to use KIS and KAS but without module manager they do not work. Ill pull some logs like you asked above tomorrow. I have a feeling it’s something with the code and I’m definitely not the one that should try fixing anything newer than basica
  8. Stock and Mod solar panels - I am able to place them but once they are on I am not able to right click them to bring up the box to retract or see the light intensity etc. This happens inside both the VAB, Launchpad and in Motion. For the gamedata folder - I went in after uninstalling the mods and deleted all folders and data except the squad folder. Then I started adding back mods one at a time and then tested the solar panels. I am able to get EVE, MechJeb2 and KSP planetary bases on and still use the solar panels but when I add anything else is when I am not able to right click them or charge my batteries. I would like to add a screenshot of the mods I used but I don't have anything I can save the screenshot to and then link, doesn't look like I can paste a snippet to this post. Below are just a few that when I added each and tested one at a time the solar panels were not clickable or working. Module manager Anything USI (Core, exploration pack) Universal Storage ScanSat I tried about 7 or so before I just decided to play with the 3 I can use. Testing process 1) add a mod with the 3 I mentioned above installed 2) test and failed 3) removed new mod 4) tested with just the 3 and it would work 5) Repeat step one with a different mod
  9. Well actually not, I just bought this PC and my previous version was the Enhanced on Xbox so I bought the game for PC at version 1.4.5 It really kind of stinks because if I want to play career its really important to be able to recharge the batteries in the early parts of the game.
  10. Hey guys, So I spent the brief time I have to play KSP tonight installing and uninstalling mods attempting to figure out what is causing my solar panels to not be clickable or working and I found a ton of mods that are causing this. IN fact the only ones I have installed right now that allow the solar panels to work are EVE, MechJeb2 and KSP planetary base. I am not sure if anyone knows of something I can download to correct this to allow me to use these mods? Or can anyone recommend part mods that do not cause this issue. I have reinstalled the game and just the ones I mention above, also I am using CKAN - could this be the issue? Any help would be appreciated as there are a ton of mods I would like to use. Thanks in advance - Dev
  11. Nvm - I did it manually and dropped the JDSA folder in game data, and I already have the community package. I did not move the .dll however as I have a copy of the same version and it wanted to rewrite it. Will this cause issues? If so I will just drop it in. Thank you! OLD post ***** So I am new to the PC version of Kerbal and the first thing I did was download CKAN to install all the mods I want, however for some reason is it saying Moist is not compatible and will not allow me to install it. Am I missing something or should I just try a manual install? I would prefer to use CKAN if at all possible as it runs extremely smooth. Thanks for any help that can be provided! I am running the latest (1.45) however I haven't picked up making history yet.
  12. Waiting for console to catch up with PC - at least add some mod support - still haven’t deleted it yet though ;).
  13. Anyone know of a thread or post that shows the future updates planned for KSP Enhanced? I am having a hard time finding anything about the plans for getting the console version up to speed with the PC version.

  15. I would also like to know if this is going to happen or at least when they plan on updating to more current versions, however they have our money now and they will spend it on making more PC stuff, and most likely ignoring all that is console. I have spent the last several months asking these questions on various forums and only the trolls will speak up. Not a peep out of the Squad, and that is why I made the above statement and fell that they only pushed it to the console for the extra revenue to enhance the PC version. More proof is the lack of a response to your question, I see you posted this in March and here it is May and nada. At the very least they could at least make an announcement, even if it was to say that we have no plans on doing anything more with console so please stop asking... I guess the lesson to learn here is to avoid spending any future cash on anything with "Squad" on the box and to pass this along to anyone that has a console!
