My only advice would be that if you have any hardware such as a flight stick, make sure you will be able to use it, ask about on the forum, I know a guy on here is unable to use his flight stick on his Linux system.

ahhh I remember my first orbit, what a great feeling. Cant tell you how I did it a lot of it was cross my fingers and hope for the best.

I think someone mentioned somewhere about the dev blogs. I also use X-Plane 10 (not upgrading to 11 any time soon) anyway, what I really like about the dev blogs they are quite detailed, what the problems are, why something cannot be implemented at this stage, all very informative. Makes you feel involved even though we are not in control of development, it just gives folks an insight. I think this is one of the occasions when perhaps a more detailed actual dev blog would be appreciated. I dunno, just a thought.

@steve_v I cant help with that I'm afraid I have not been involved in Linux for years and years. I don't want to rub salt in the wound but I am loving playing KSP with a flightstick . I can finally get back to X Plane again now.

That's what we all want at the end of the day and that's what will make people happy, but I say let people have a rant if they are unhappy about something it will happen just as will the praise and thanks when the bugs are fixed. Non of it is personal. P.S Got my flight stick set up, its great.
