[1.7] Real Expansion, RealNEOs is out!

Give it the same license as the other versions of the mod (so CC-BY)

Mods that add extra planets to RSS mod

So like additional star systems? Well, there's this which should still work.

Mods that add extra planets to RSS mod

It's outdated but still should work in the latest version of KSP, given it's only configs and textures.
  4. In addition to what Snark said, I would highly suggest not including your presumably personal email on this public listing. Listing up your email publically is just begging for people to spam your email with bots and junk mail. Unfortunately there are some people in the world who do that.
  5. If you do some of the textures and leave the rest to others, you'll only end up with ugly inconsistent textures as everyone has a different art style. There's a reason we don't have visual overhauls made by multiple people. And if it's not done, then don't release it. Nobody wants a rushed mod.
  6. Well then. No offense, but I think it's pretty pointless if you're trying to remaster a mod but can't do it yourself. What you're effectively doing is asking someone to do 90% of the mod for you because you can't, and then you'd be claiming credit for it even though others did 90% of the work.
  7. I know you’re trying to “remaster” Kerbol Galaxy, but I’m talking about WHAT textures?

    Red tag on some posts..

I've noticed some posts have a little red flair or tag next to them (like the Spectra thread, with the "visual pack" text). I was wondering what this was, and how can I add it to my posts?
  9. Help with making what textures? ScaledSpace textures? Terrain textures? Cloud textures?

    [KSP 1.7] Astronomer's Visual Pack [v3.8 "Endgame"]

Looks sweet! Can't wait for the release. Also a rather interesting name...

    [1.7.x-1.3.1] Xen’s Planet Collection Revived

Did you actually download it? Or did you just copy and paste the link of the website? Anyways, to install this... Download and install the appropriate version of Kopernicus and it's dependencies (Module Manager and ModularFlightIntergrator) Download XPC from the link in the thread Open the .zip file and drag and drop the XPC folder into GameData (if there's no XPC folder, make a new folder called XPC and drag and drop the contents of the .zip into said folder) Launch the game! If you have anymore problems, don't hesitate to contact either me or the mod developer. Make sure to provide your Kopernicus.log file (found in Logs/Kopernicus) as well as KSP.log (found in the main directory) and a screenshot of your GameData folder. Hope this helps!

    [KSP 1.7] Astronomer's Visual Pack [v3.8 "Endgame"]

Most likely you don’t have enough RAM. Care to share your PC specs as well as your logs and GameData folder? Because otherwise there’s not much we can do; I don’t want to sound rude but what you’re saying is as helpful as saying why your car won’t start when you didn’t even bring the car.

    Mod licensing question

This is more related to addons, but at the same time is to the moderators and about the forum. Are custom licenses for addons allowed? As in, can we just come up with our own set of rules? I’m making a mod but I don’t want it to be uploaded onto other sites nor the assets being used for other mods (without my permission). I could do all rights reserved, but since there are modified versions of some SQUAD assets (planet maps), I obviously don’t want to do that. I was thinking of something like a CC-BY-NC-ND license, but that allows reuploads and reuse of assets (unless modified).

    Mod licensing question

Well I plan to also include a message saying that if I’m away for a while and the mod needs an update (i.e. syntax for dependencies changes), then anyone can continue the mod and stuff.

    Mod licensing question

@Snark wait so All Rights Reserved means that nobody can reupload it or use its assets? I had assumed All Rights Reserved was akin to copyright and meant that you claimed it as your own and own full rights to it. But since they are modified planet maps for the stock planets, I wasn’t really sure. But if it’s the former, then that’d be great. Only reason I don’t want it uploaded on other sites is that it could end up on some dodgy foreign site, and could be a potential risk for other users. And thanks for the clarification about CC-BY-NC-ND, I thought it was for the assets and not the whole mod.

    Noah's Kerbol Arrangement

This looks pretty sweet but in my opinion, Laythe becoming Kerbins moon sounds a bit funny to me unless it's some sort of double planet thing. I'm not sure why, but it just doesn't feel right. Nor does having an atmospheric desert planet as a moon to a giant rock without an atmosphere. Tylo should be the one with an atmosphere, given that it's mass is greater and therefore has more gravity. Now I'm not some astrophysicist but I'm just sharing my opinion.

If you need assistance in making EVE configs, chuck me a PM. I'm willing to help you.

    [KSP 1.7] Astronomer's Visual Pack [v3.8 "Endgame"]

Yes, that’ll work but you will also need the other city light textures (the closeup/detail ones).
  19. "You never truly realize the beauty of space until you go there and experience it first hand." - Random Kerbal Found on the Street (2019) They say a picture is worth a thousand words. So heres a thousand words as a picture. What is Komorfia? Komorfia is a graphics mod designed to completely overhaul the visuals of Kerbal Space Program with it's stunning and beautiful high-resolution textures. This thread specifically is meant to serve as a way for people to follow the development of the mod. What the Kraken does Komorfia mean? The word "Komorfia" is a portmanteau of two words; "Kerbal" and "Omorfia". The latter is the Greek word for beauty, and the meaning of Kerbal is fairly obvious. It can be thought of as "Kerbal Beauty", in that the Kerbol system has been beautified. What specs will I need to run this? You will need at least 8GB of RAM, but 16GB is recommended. The kind of GPU does not necessarily matter, as Kerbal Space Program doesn't touch it. Any modern CPU will do. Current Features Atmospheric Features 64K Kerbin Clouds & 8K Aurora 8K Eve Clouds & 8K Aurora 8k Duna Clouds 8K 2-Layer Dynamic Jool Clouds & 8K Aurora 8K Laythe Clouds & 8K Aurora Surface Features 8K ScaledSpace and terrain textures for Duna, Moho and Gilly Any pictures or videos? [Imgur Album] When will this be released? Soon.
  20. Thanks, I’ll take that into consideration. I’ll need some testers soon anyways to test performance and stuff, but not at the moment as I’m still working on the terrain (kopernicus hates me , trying to eliminate the fading between space and terrain but i’m not liking what i’m getting). If anyone is interesting in testing Komorfia give me a PM.
  21. Good job and no problem! I had to figure out how to make EVE configs myself by studying other packs; there were no guides or anything. So I’m glad I’m able to help someone else. Make sure to not redistribute this by the way, since SVE has a CC-BY-NC-ND license meaning you can’t destribue assets from there.
  22. Kopernicus.log can be found in the Logs folder, which should be located in the main KSP folder. Also we need KSP.log, not output.log
  23. Can you show us your GameData folder (a screenshot will do) and the logs? KSP.log and Kopernicus.log are the important ones.
  24. Do you mean like when you install OPM, the game just won't load? Or does OPM not add in the new planets? Or does Spectra not add clouds with OPM installed?
  25. No, OPM won't work with Spectra. I don't mean like it won't literally work, you just won't get any of the clouds and stuff for the OPM planets.
