  5. @linuxgurugamer Also, I started developping an IVA mod, that adds an interactive ASET IVA for the stock ext cmd seat. I first attached an internal to the part, and looked through the eyes, but the props didn't render, unless I turned IVA overlay ON. Also none of the props were producing sound, since there is no "Active IVA Kerbal" indeed. So I did find a way around it : create a variant of the chair, remove the kerbalseat module, and add a command module, to make it behave like a pod, add hatches modules, built an IVA around it, and it works ( see the WIP thread below) ! But in the future, maybe it would be nice to have this working with TTE ? To avoid adding a new part ? What is the camera method you're using right now ? I'd guess it's not an internalseat, but just the same as when being in EVA mode ? Since the Kerbal is technically in EVA mode when on the seat... Thanks again !
  6. Hi, What does the EVAKey do ? go EVA from the ext comand seat ? The key is marked as default in the settings, but what is the actual keyboard key for it ? Also tought about an enhancement/QOL idea : be able to open the Kerbal's PAW (via hotkey maybe?), so you don't need to constantly go to the external view to do science, or manage cargo, etc. With this you could all the time in 1st person view. Would this be achievable ? Thanks ! EDIT : Wait sorry, I didn't read well the first post about PartComander... : / EDIT 2 : Well it also appears that if you look down you can right on the Kebal's body and open the PAW.. Sorry again, I'll let this post here just for reference for other people like me that don't read carefully the first post ^^
  7. RPM is waiting for a PR to be merged (should be done very soon) so it can support this mod, until then, some of the props/features of this mod won't work, but there will be a notification here when it's done !
  8. ASET IVA for the External Command Seat This is mod idea I had dreamed for so long about, an actual interactive IVA for the stock External Command Seat ! Currently, the only way to see in 1st person view in the ext command seat is with Through the Eyes of a Kerbal mod, but you can't add any props to it (you can but it's janky and will not work well), so I did a little hackery here and there, converted the part to an actual pod-like behavior, and started laying out the props ! For now, this is a low tech orbiter/lander version, but I'd like to make several flavors of this : orbiter/lander high tech (with MFDs and modern style props), plane low and high tech, and a rover high tech. Todo : - Currently there is one drawback with the way this is done : To make this IVA possible, I added a part similar to the ext cmd seat, but without the KerbalSeat module, and replaced it with module command, to make it behave like a normal pod, the Kerbal is then not visible on the external model anymore, but I could go around this by adding a B9partswitch model of a kerbal, for the player to turn on/off at his convenience, I'll see. Alternatively and for now, you can enable the IVA overlay, which is already cool in it self and arguably better, since it will display the props too. - Polish the external appearance (back side) in external view with IVA overlay ON. - Make other versions of this IVA ( and add Reviva support for it) : high tech orbiter/lander ; low/high tech plane (so with instruments and layout specific to planes) ; high tech rover ; MAS high tech ? - look at VR compatibility Dependencies : - Module Manager - ASET consolidated Props and avionics - RasterPropMonitor Optional but recommended mods : - NearFutureIVAProps : Only adds the small post it decorative elements.   10. Hey thank you ! : ) That would be nice, I'd need to take the KOS monitor pages from ASET and put them in those CRT monitors, good idea ! That's not going to be the first thing to come, since I need to do clean up/fix what's already there . The grace of this execution is certainly a quality that the landing pilot will have to work on... I also released a test version of this Retro-NASA-styled Probe Control IVA, available on the first post of this thread. : ) @Sten89

  15. Progress on the ManeuverPlanner props by Mirage < 3 Changed the layout/behavior to reduce number of props. Added reset button. Changed everything to retro push buttons, so it integrates well in retro IVAs. Next is making the time display in ydhms, instead of s, and later maybe integrating this on a custom page of the ASET DSKY, so you won't need the 4 displays anymore...! On my side, currently working on making those custom CRT work outisde of Warbird cockpits...
  16. I've been said by Jonny that sadly, the switches might be too small for VR. Meaning you would flip mulitple of them at the same time, since your KerbalVR fingers are too big ^^ He told me so when I was almost done, so we'll see, maybe I'll make a simpler variant of this, with bigger props for VR, but take this info with a good rock of salt haha

Retro NASA style Probe Control Room IVA Hi, I've been working on a complete remake of the PCR IVA interior, by giving it a retro style flavour, for the early days a Kerbal space exploration, when we didn't access to all those fancy MFD screens and such... - Current todo : - Better KOS/KPM page, this one is just copied for KPM, and isn't done yet - CRTs big selector knobs : make them not slaved between each other if possible - Try to fix ASET solar panel deployed Alarm indicator - Refine Interior decorations - 1.0 release ? - Investigate RPM Ext cam wankyness - Poke at Vulkan's work on "MAS-sifying" PCRIVAPLUS and maybe incorporate his work if he's willing to contribute ! Ep. 3 - Failures, scanning & first Mun flyby First catastrophic failures due to a flight director error (me lol), more engine failures, first kerbin scientific satellite, showcase of the MirageDev's Maneuver props in action (still WIP), and the first live images from the Mun, as we flyby it : ) This involved some interesting challenges, as how to align my solar panels properly to the Sun, a transfer to the Mun in IVA. Also guessing the correct orientation for the spacecraft, and the camera, to get images from the Mun, and see it coming live on the displays was quite satisfying ! (I'm also working on making the first steps towards a first WIP release of the retro PCR IVA)

First catastrophic failures due to a flight director error (me lol), more engine failures, first kerbin scientific satellite, showcase of the MirageDev's Maneuver props in action (still WIP), and the first live images from the Mun, as we flyby it. I also improved the Mission Control interior with more props, refining. The first WIP release should be out soon. : ) Cheers
  20. Hi ! Would there be a way to make the ullage sim so that the stable status is kept a few seconds (like 2 or 3), after having settled the fuel with RCS ? I guess that would require code changes ? thank you ! : )
  21. Today, I did in KSP what felt important for me today, as a musician and space enjoyer, on this 16th of december... Because today is an anniversary ! Of the first concert broadcasted live from space, 58 years ago ! Those Gemini (VI and VII) astronauts were quite good at historic firsts... They played a prank on Houston by describing Santa Claus' sleigh going in a polar orbit, played the first ever concert in duet, broadcasted live from space, oh, and yeah, they also executed the first ever manned rendez-vous between two spacecrafts... Wally Schirra and Tom Stafford played Jingle Bells, on a little harmonica and a handful of bells, in duet ! Happy anniversary !

On their Holidays, Kerbals usually like to go on the space-sofa, grab a tacos, one or two fresh beers, and admire the absolute glory of deep space, while casually discussing about the latest Jebediah Kerman's rocket crash, the Minmus Dust's new Ice Cream flavor, or telling each other some ancient Deep Space Kraken scary tales... (sorry couldn't get the "interstellar dream" text out : P) Cheers, and thank you for that giveaway event !
