KSP became my second game to reach 1,000+ hours, second only to Garry's mod. I purchased both in 2015, but I only ever got around to playing KSP two years later. My GMOD hours currently sit at 1,048 hours, and my Kerbal Hours are 1,011.

I knew someone who claimed that their station was hit by an asteroid once. Does anyone know what the odds of that would be?

Is the zip file for spectra 1.2.5 corrupted for anyone else? I've tried re-downloading it 3 times and each it is corrupted. I even tried 1.2.4 and it also was corrupted. Even Ckan doesn't work.
I am using winrar and it gives the following message every time i try to extract the files.
! D:\Desktop\Visual Mods\Spectra-1.2.5.zip: The archive is corrupt

...but I think Jool is actually closer to its star than Earth is to the sun... if I'm looking at the numbers properly
It is closer, but because the sun is smaller, it probably emits less heat, which would put the optimal spot for life somewhere closer to the sun. Idk if squad actually did the math to put kerbin and jool in accurate spots, but judging by the fact that the next planet over is literally an icy waste land, we can assume that it's pretty cold in the Jool system.

I don't think it's that realistic that Laythe has liquid water on its surface that far away from the sun.
Then there are a bunch of problems with engines & fuel:
- Real engines have a limited amount of start-ups.
- Cryogenic propellants boil off.
- Not all engines can use the same fuel.
- We don't have to worry about the fuel floating around in the tanks rather than entering the engine, and thus don't need ullage motors.

...Take the the general coolness of taking off and landing on a runway., and combine it with the delta-v benefits of staging. It's naturally going to be more part-intensive and expensive than a regular launch, but...
I feel like this is a description of the space shuttle. lol

Honestly Kerbol is the most underrated celestial body. I have only seen like 3 people do missions for stations orbiting around the sun.
Honestly it makes sense though. Not much for us to do out there.
I think it would be cool if squad added some new science gadgets that require craft in a circular orbit past moho and beyond jool to work. They'd be like the science lab's but without kerbals in them, but they require these extreme conditions.

What's the matter, don't trust me?
no, it's just that i wanted to be 110% sure just in case. Thanks! This is good news!

Mod support has been confirmed.
can we get a source for that?

Yeah if they can get the graphics anywhere near the quality of the trailer, then they can take ALL my money!
They've released a few pictures on the official ksp website, and it looks similar, minus the ray-tracing.

I wonder how interstellar travel will work. Will we be orbiting around a black hole?
I do like that they showed off a planet with rings in the trailer.
I also hope they keep most of the old parts, since it would suck to have to learn all the parts again. From what we saw in the trailer, this seems to be true though.

I designed a space shuttle capable of docking to my space station, Space Shuttle Fortune. I created it after lessons learned from my previous Shuttle, Space Shuttle Mayflower.
-
They're cheaper, stronger (usually), and are great for side boosters. Basically liquid SRBs.

I play with G-Force on kerbals and have played a few saves with G-force on parts. Kerbal G-force is honestly way too easy. You only ever have kerbals pass out when you have extremely unrealistic re-entry profiles from eccentric orbits. I haven't tried it with a full on space plane before, but I have tested it before in planes going 450~ m/s at sea level. Slowing down/minor corse correction is fine, but if you want to make any major maneuvers it's very likely your wings would be blown off.

You ran KSP on a computer with a 1GHZ CPU?
Simmilar on other aspects, now that you've pointed that out i doubt that it could ever be possible to run ksp at all on switch.
Essentially, what ive gathered from reading all of these posts is that it is probably not possible.
-
I've been thinking about it a lot recently. Could ksp work on switch? I had a computer that had simillar specs to the switch, and i was able to run ksp pretty good (without visual mods of course)
Im still not sure weather or not the game could run on a switch.
Could the game even be ported to the switch in the first place?

I just wanted to spark some debate.

...I'll dispatch one of my two recovery airships (UKS Led Zeppelin or UKS Black Sabbath...
I appreciate that naming scheme.

I am currently on a trip, and unable to check for myself, but I was wondering if camera tools still works in the new updates, or if it will be updated if it doesn't. Thanks!

it. wont. leave.

And here I was thinking it was a DLC for when you make a yet another boneheaded move and decide you should just start drinking rather than try again.
I'm sorry, what?

Breaking ground is referred to as "Serenity" in its game files. So it WAS talking about an expansion. Wow.

Are there any mods (preferably up date to 1.6.1) available to recreate the destruction seen in this video?
-
If the title wasn't clear, this is basically what I mean:
When they do their hohmen transfer, they just do it as they launch. Even if this is just for the sake of the video, how would one go about doing something like this?
How will you play KSP?

I think that I'd also like to try playing it just in career mode. I have gotten into the habit of playing KSP in sandbox mode sine in the beginning i didn't know what i was doing and was too scared to attempt a career mode save, and now career mode is just a bit boring to me because I just want to get right away to the big rockets, even if the long term prospects of having a career mode save are really fun. In KSP 2 I'll try and have 1 save that I continually work on from the start that would be in career mode. I think that it will be a nice way to experience all the new things.
