How do I verify file integrity through steam?

So, I was goofing around in my, "For Fun" sandbox save, and I was wondering what would happen if I reached the speed of light. To make a long story short, I edited the max thrust value on the Aerospike engine, then later, put it back to 180. Later on, I was playing with a rocket in my normal sandbox save, and activated the next stage (which had an aerospike engine in it). Immediately the rocket was destroyed and the remaining debris left the solar system immediately. I reverted to vehicle assembly, and looked at the thrust value of the aerospike engine, and it had a value somewhere around 60000! I looked at the files, and the Maxthrust Value was still at 180. I didn't care about it that much, because I never use that engine anyway. But now, since I really need that engine, I looked through the data and couldn't find the problem. I Remembered the time I screwed up the physics data in the cheats menu, and that the eventual solution was to delete the physics file, and the game downloaded another physics file. Thinking it would do the same, I deleted the file for the aerospike engine. It did not work, and now I need to get a file for that part. How should I go about doing that?

Okay. That must have been the problem. Thank you. I’ve recovered the proper files and my gmame is functioning properly now.

I’d like to declare that it was not a good idea to delete saves from the file. It is a very bad idea.

First off, I’d like to know where a forum post on this topic should go- I chose what I believe to be the correct category. If it is the wrong category, how should I change it? I have about 300 quicksaves (as you can tell, I’m really good at this game) and I believe they are slowing down the game. It takes about 2 minutes to pull up the screen where I can load a quicksave, and much more time to delete only one. I am wondering where the file is for the quicksaves so I can select and delete them all at once.

I have heard tell of an event known as the great forum disaster, and I would like to know more about it, as I am fairly new to the forums. I assume it has something to do with the many times I have clicked on a link to a forum page, and an error message appeared. I would like to understand this event more clearly. Thank you.

The videos are uploading, but they are very much out of order. The ones that have no name are the ones that were recorded after the landing. Their just recordings of me while goofing off with the kerbals on Minmus.

About to land the base on minmus! I really hope I spelt that correctly.

About to send transfer stage to mun orbit. It will rendezvous with mun base/space station and take it to minmus. I take that back- I gotta add more boosters.
