  1. The original abort Idea was pull or turn one switch and the LES was pull capsule away while it turn and spun the capsule allowing it to release parachute. Since the first 2 stages or so were solid booster engines, there is no way to deactivate them in a emergency situation. Best thing was to abort with LES having it pull capsule up and away from main rocket. In these split second actions and amount of G's astronaut would go threw there was no way to control the maneuver in a pitch or roll. Thats why the top or one of the bottom rockets on LES was tilted at a angle to give that pitch and roll around maneuver. On Apollo LES they had that small horizontal rocket opening on top. Early Mercury capsule had one of the three rockets on the LES tilted at an angle. The FASA LES in that mod works good. The one thats in there is the Mercury and Gemini one, both same model just different size. I use the Mercury one in my stock game and resized it bigger for my mk1-2 pod. Only thing else to tweak is putting an attach node on parachutes. The LES works very well from that mod, it will auto roll and pitch away from capsule. I use KSPX LES, but I have to make a small separtron rocket from stock and place in on back and angle it to allow LES to rotate and flip.
  2. They will die, the time is random. Sometimes its 2 hrs or 1 hr, but they will die. I assume its like them using their spacesuits O2 for a while.
  3. I came across other threads about Antivirus. I am using free Avast, what is there to do to allow this or any other game to run a little better?
  4. That is all I did delete files I didn't want. I tried two ways to get around problem. First I delete whole folder of files I didn't want, that had the error. So then I tried leaving folder there and just delete files in folders, the problem was still there.
  5. If I deleted my files I don't get the chatterer icon in flight.

  7. Just installed this for the first time the other day. I'ver been playing KSP since 0.7. I really like the addition of the parts to stock KSP. I don't really do Novapunch, it adds too many parts to game and almost makes stock parts not usable. KW just blends right in, love it.
  8. Is that this option in game: Pixel Light Count Controls how many Pixel Lights can be in the scene at any time. See Unity documentation for more details. Default:8 "BY DEFAULT, KSP ALLOWS ONLY 8 SIMULTANEOUS LIGHT SOURCES. IF SOME OF YOUR LIGHTS AREN'T SHOWING UP, YOU MAY BE HITTING THE LIGHT SOURCE LIMIT AND SHOULD RAISE IT."

  10. Yeah it has landing ability. Deafult height is like 50m. This might not work for all planets or moons that you might want to land on.

  13. The one thing a lot of people miss when making LES is they forget to put rocket port hole on top. As you see in picture, that is use to push the rocker away and flip it. All the LES in KSP community doesn't have that. So when the abort is activated, the capsule goes straight up. If rocket is in booster stage there is no way of stopping the rocket below from crashing into capsule. The LES system pulls the capsule up and to side of rocket.
  14. I am using just the Lazor Docking Camera mod, problem I get is the Lazor GUI takes over other mod. It turns the Chatterer mod GUI into the one from Lazor. Another thing I notice when I am in KSP option menu, on top of screen in back there is a Lazor thin GUI up there. I can't click on it, it just appears there as if bugged out.
  15. Yeah KSP and the 4GB memory. Is there a way to tell how much memory is being used. I want to check my KSP. I'm sure you can trim some layers places. Eve, Jool, or where ever to suit your game.
  16. On a test I did early on was using the cloud texture of eve. That was pretty cool. Duna looked like a harsh place to visit, look like some serious storms were going on down there. Flying by surface though you could see the base of Duna and could barely see landing spots. The RGB codes for that were different. I'm sure you can try it out with these codes. Most people prefer Kerbin 2 clouds on Duna, so do I, but you can try eve clouds on them and see what it looks like, lol. Its all up to you what to do with textures and codes. Thats why rbray89 put the options to change things in there. This makes it nice, better then taking stuff in Photoshop then having to bring it back in.
  17. There is patchy clouds on Duna with Kerbin 2 textures. They use to be white, but I did a rgb color to them to make it look like dust, like mars. They are there, you have to get close to Duna to see them, or even land. The color of clouds matched surface very well that you wont be able to see them. If you want white clouds you can change rgb codes to 1. If you want to not have Duna clouds at all, just remove the whole code of Duna. But like I said they are there on Duna. I was going for the illusion that they aren't there, but they are there, lol.
  18. Tje SARscan model looks really good. Will be nice when you get the textures for it. The tri-head sensor could have the SARscan texture from the old one from here. The model would be cool if the head swiveled, like up and down axis, and could follow target planet.   19. Yeah I did that. Just seems like I get same message. I'm starting to newer ones not much. One was a crew report in orbit about crew reading a book, lol. It seems like if I run like a goo container one, and transmit, right after I do another it comes up with same message.
