  1. To help get this thing back up and running, I'll enter another one. Also @HB Stratos, you may want to specify if Breaking Ground can be used, because some people may want to produce aircraft with swing wings. Contract No.4 Gen. 3 Night_Ranger428 F-32 Stinger A light single-engined air-superiority fighter designed for dogfighting and light attack duties. A high TWR gives excellent energy gaining characteristics when turning hard in a dogfight. In dry mode it will acheive 0.98 mach at 1000m, and with the 'burner lit it will go far faster. 2. Gen 3 Contract No.3 (Air Force Specific) Night_Ranger428 XF-36 Description: This is a strike/fighter aircraft The aircraft in its current state carries a moderate fuel load, although this can be increased by re-filling the other tanks that I left empty for weight saving. The increase in weight will more than likely hurt performance by a fair margin, but the current format gives it a top speed of virtually Mach 3 (Mach 2.97) at low level with the ‘burners lit, so the additional weight gain would not terribly hamper performance. It is also extremely maneouverable, you can reduce the pitch authority to increase minimum turn speed (currently ~95m/s in dry and ~115 in wet mode) at minimal loss of turn radius. This aircraft can be simply converted into a long-range fighter-bomber, as payload capabilities are very good, with filling all internal tanks and adding drop tanks in addition to the weapons load gives significant range capacity. 3. Contract No.013Gen 4Night_Ranger428YF-21 Streak Raven KerbalX: https://kerbalx.com/Night_Ranger428/YF-21-Streak-RavenDescription: A tactical fighter-bomber designed for highly capable dog-fighting and strike missions. Speed capabilities are very good, and acceleration is reasonable. The high cockpit position gives a very good FoV, and the wings are far enough aft that you don’t see them. Weapons capacity is good, with adequate space under the wings and some space for under-fuselage mounting of payloads. Fuel load gives a good range capability, although drop tanks would be recommended for medium to long range missions. If you are willing to sacrifice some performance and wingtip hardpoint spaces you could also fit permanent fuel tanks to the wingtips. By the way, I did write the contract that this is being entered into myself, and this aircraft was built before the contract was written, but the contract wasn't written based on aircraft I had already created, it was written to fill a perceived gap in the contract range.
  4. Contract No.009 Gen 4 Night_Ranger428 YFB-42 Fury KerbalX: https://kerbalx.com/Night_Ranger428/YFB-42-Fury Description: A tactical fighter-bomber designed for light strikes, and can dogfight in extreme situations, but it is not advisable. Maximum speed, depending on load, can exceed Mach 2. Weapons capacity is very good as weapons can be mounted in the bomb bay and under the wings. Fuel load is 820 units, which gives good base range, and drop tanks can further that, mounted internally or externally. Action Groups: AG1: Switch Engine Mode. AG2: Toggle Flaps. AG3: Toggle Weapons Bay Doors. Contract No.009 Gen 4 Night_Ranger428 YF/A-52 Kangaroo KerbalX: https://kerbalx.com/Night_Ranger428/YFA-52-Kangaroo Description: A high performance fighter/strike aircraft, capable of speeds above Mach 3. The maneuverability is pretty good, giving it good capabilities as a dogfighter if necessary. The weapons capacity is good, mostly under the wings but there is space under the fuselage for loads as well. The fuel capacity is pretty good, and adding drop tanks help with that. Mounting a centreline fuel tank with a large pylon between the fuselage sections is a feasible way to minimally impede the weapons capacity. Overall it is a very capable ground attack and fighter aircraft. Action Groups: AG1: Switch Engine Mode. Also some additional suggestions, create a contract for a twin engined normal fighter aircraft in the Gen 4 or 4.5, and add an attack aircraft contract in maybe Gen 3 on the kind of design and capability basis of aircraft such as the A-10 and the Su-25. Maybe also depending on where you want this competition to go also add a couple of cargo aircraft contract for a light and heavy transport.
  5. Contract No. 010 Generation 2 Night_Ranger428 YB-56 Grey Raven A high speed tactical bomber with canards and tailplanes designed for in and out strikes against targets. Performance is Mach 2.5+ with the ‘burners lit, and on dry it will just about hit the sound barrier. Maneuverability is pretty good for a bomber. The bomb bay arrangement is side by side, but capacity is good, it can take over 8 tonnes in the bomb bays, and you can put hard-points under the wings if you wish. Action Groups: AG1: Toggle Engine Mode AG2: Toggle Flaps (check the deploy direction before you fly it, as they tend to switch from time to time which way they deploy). AG3: Toggle Bomb Bay Doors. 6. Contract No. 002Generation 2Night_Ranger428YF-81 Cheetah A high performance twin engined interceptor, designed to climb fast and destroy bombers. Is capable of in excess of Mach 2.7. Isn’t especially maneuverable, but can turn reasonably well at low level. Has very good acceleration performance, too. Ground handling tends to be a bit hairy, so landing speed needs to go as low as possible (Under 75m/s is recommended). Action Groups: AG1: Toggle Engine Mode AG2: Toggle Flaps https://kerbalx.com/Night_Ranger428/YF-81-Cheetah
  7. Contract No. 006Generation 4.5 Night_Ranger428F-54B Firestrike Fairly capable multi-role strike fighter, re-designed from a twin engined version (on KerbalX as the F-54 Firestrike). Has extremely high maximum speed (Mach 2.81@1-2km altitude, Mach 2.85@10-11km+ altitude, although the acceleration rate isn't blistering, it's reasonable. Maneuverability, while not outstanding, is pretty good (If for some reason it appears to be lacking check canard and tailplane authority limiters, they both should be at 150). The structural fuselage part forward of the engine has a tendency to heat up, but not close to levels of it failing even at maximum speed. Action Groups: AG1: Toggle Engine Mode. AG2: Toggle Flaps.
