When I attach, and then go to launch the side boosters just swing around like propellers. Also I was wondering if there is a fix for the grid fins, which instead of spinning to control the booster, they move like a hinge up and down.

I had the same problem and I fixed it by downloading off of CKAN, which is a much easier and better place to get mods than Spacedock anyways.
