Is DART still attached to the second stage of F9? If so, how would it make smaller course corrections? Merlin can't throttle that precisely can it?

It is from the mod Kerbal Konstructs. The mod allows you to make new structures (Launch Pads, runways etc.) It looks like the OP just put two of them side by side in the ocean. As for the launch stand / tower, I'm not sure.

Here's what I do when launching these shuttles: With the roll issue, you can always turn off "force roll" and manually roll to 180 using Smart SAS. You can also manually resist the mechjeb roll by simply pressing the opposite arrow key. The second option is what I use. As for the SRB separation, make sure you have the cockpit menu open at launch, pin it up, and at separation change the control to -15 degrees. When you're rolling belly down after SRB sep, do the same thing you did at launch and manually resist the mechjeb roll. I hope this helps friend!

I go to an art school and often find myself playing KSP and Orbital Launch Simulator on my laptop during boring art history lecture. Post modernism is so much more interesting when Jeb is crash landing into the Mun. It turns heads in the classroom also, I've put at least 3 of my fellow students on to KSP.

I was just starting to get into outer space, and my YouTube recommendations were always space related. One day I got recommended a constellation program video. The video was realism overhaul in KSP. I knew I had to get my hands on whatever game it was!

Hi everyone, I had a thought the other day and wanted to get y'all to weigh in. As we know, starlink is currently being launched on Falcon 9 in groups of 60. If Starship wasn't currently being developed / was indefinitely delayed, would it be financially viable / practical for SpaceX to launch starlink missions on Falcon Heavy with the new extended fairing? Would this extended fairing make enough of a difference in terms of number of satellites launched?

Looks like some new official renders for starship are on the Dear Moon website. https://dearmoon.earth/starship-suit.html Right off the bat it looks like that main observation deck window has gotten smaller. Anything else you guys can notice?

My apologies if this has already been answered but I can't seem to find one. I've been using the Falcon 9 lately for cargo missions and satellite launches, but when I stage the fairings the parachutes cannot open because they are "stowed." Is there any way to fix this issue so the parachutes can open for fairing recovery?

The mod Kerbal Konstructs. It allows players to add all types of buildings to planets, including launch pads and VAB's. They're even functional, meaning I can build a rocket on Kerbin and launch it from the Mun! It goes really well with Tundra and is a great place to land the starship or other landers.

Just thought I'd share a cool image with you guys. I recently added a landing pad to my Lunar Outpost using Kerbal Konstructs and it's a great place to land Starship! I'm having a lot of fun with this mod and use it all the time!

Hey guys can someone help me find out how to get gold visors on my Kerbals? I looked around on this thread and it sounds like the gold visors should come default but every time I check my kerbals have clear visors. Do I need to download a texture pack?

I just finished my second Munar Outpost! I got rid of my first one, since it is now redundant. This outpost is now the epicenter for all of my Munar missions going forward. It is a great little base with ISRU for my landers and rovers. One rover is a fuel tanker and the other is my cargo variant. Just got done building and launching a Soyuz inspired rocket I'm calling the "RK-7 Molotov". This is now my go to launch vehicle for crews of up to 3, or a light payload to LKO. Super fun to launch!

Does anyone have a good ascent profile for the Starship / Superheavy using mechjeb and FMRS? I figured out how to land my starship I just can't get the ascent / boost back / landing down for superheavy. Currently I'm using a classic ascent with all of the default configurations for turn and angle of attack. I don't seem to have much control over the booster when I separate though so I might just need to do a more steeper angle. I also seem to loose control over super heavy once its reentering the thicker part of the atmosphere. It likes to flip a lot. At what velocity should I start my gravity turn? How steep should my gravity turn be? How much Delta V should I have for my boost back and landing? At what altitude should I separate superheavy from starship?

Would you ever consider creating a new visual or video guide for starship including ascent guidance and orbital refueling? I’m having a really hard time figuring out my starship ascent and landing superheavy.

Great mod! I’ve been working on getting my starship reentry / landing down. Has anyone made a video tutorial for this? If not I’m sure we could all work to make one. I also have a few questions. 1 - does starship have orbital refueling? Is this something you plan to add in the future? Also my starship doesn’t have solar panels. Do I need the full near future solar mod in order to have the parts? I only have the core installed. Thanks!
