  1. @xendelaar, with enough fuel and time, you can force a transfer that is faster than usual with any planet, the big question is do you have the guts to throw 10mil away in fuel costs. If the answer is yeah, then throw as much fuel as possible into HKO, and use it all to get there as fast as possible. Once out of an SOI, you can use the fuel to its maximum. Burn most of it, and use the rest to decelerate when around Duna. Optimimally, you packed enough shielding to aerobrake into the atmosphere in one pass, using the engines around to assist in slowing you down. After fuel ha been burned, ditch the engines, and land the pod with a set of small thrusters and parachutes. Only downside, you have no way of returning the intrepid crew home.
  2. As @OrdinaryKerman said, it came out a long time ago. So long ago in fact that I forgot what that update contained. I remember 1.8.1 and 1.10/11.1 and what they had within them.
  3. Because they have very restrictive play tests because of how the system operates, as they have closed off all the game files and coding side to the console. This makes it harder on smaller games like KSP, while for other titles, namely, GTA, COD, Halo, Battlefield, etc. have no problems because of the amount of resources they can throw at the testing phase.
  4. I enjoy the originals... But I'll get used to it.
  5. I'm not tired of that, I'm tired of the companies forcing these tests on the game, because it makes the porting company take time away from fixing bugs and such, and this would help with the lack thereof of updates, and the 6 months it takes to get one. Less testing, means more time to fix bugs, and a faster update patch time.
  6. As the title says, I will be creating a petition that I plan to send to Sony and Microsoft to make the console game updates testing less restrictive and more attainable. I understand that this will not be taken very seriously, especially because most games have little to no problems with it, (mostly AA and AAA games). I hope to gain at least 5k signatures in this petition. I am doing this as a response to all the threads that I have read about complaining about how horrible the game is..... Its only bad because of your favorite console devs. I will edit the link into the title and into this. I hope I am not breaking the forum rules here. I re-read the rules, and I don't believe that I have, but if I am, call me out, report it.
  7. It is not a faulty product, but a very buggy one for sure. KSPEE is optimised for PS4/XB1 and not for 8th gen consoles. It is unstable thanks to the maker of your $800 console, just remember that fact. If it was easier to port over and the port company wasn't stonewalled by Sony/Microsoft by their console game updates being known as one of the hardest to pass. And because the port company has to worry more about the patch passing the procedures/processes required, and because it takes a significantly longer time because of the rewrite of code, and testing phase. It is fun, on a more basic level, but that's all because of your favorite console devs.... My advice is, either petition them to relax on their updating games proceedures, or sit back and do nothing. Unfortunately, most PS players feel the same way, and I hear that Sony can be worse than Microsoft with that stuff.
  8. Have it.... It was worth it for such an astounding author such as you. But @Just Jim when are we gonna get leaks for 1.5?
  9. As title says, what are y'alls opinions on platforms. *Just don't argue, fight, or fuss, be respectful*
  10. Thanks for the more technical answer for @Dr. Kerbal's question. And I say this, hopefully it isn't too rude, but I think that I gave him the answer.......... I would like confirmation before I fully make that claim, but I believe my answer was suffice. On another note, I find that PC players are much more into the actual names of stuff in game and where they are, such as listing off where to find gamefiles and in what folder, which is great for y'all, and I use it sometimes on my PC, but with console players, we tend to want stuff in the most direct, plain jane language. We could care less what folder parts go in, because we can't access the folder to do such a thing. Thats why Mods aren't allowed on consoles, because of how restrictive Microsoft/Sony are with their consoles. Games undergo the most annoying testing phase to get certified for consoles. People deliberately look for stupid ways to break the game and ways to force a crash when testing for Sony/MS. That's why PC's are gonna always be vastly more popular, that, along with their modularity.
  11. Or if he has to because he is being like Bradley Whistance and is doing a Bill odessy recreation, wherein Bill uses this height to gain speed to make it in to orbit where he will rendevous with his 250kg ship in LMO
  12. Granted, you got it, but you realise that it smells of almonds, moments later, you notice that a foam is coming out of your mouth, you try to breathe, but can't. You die shortly after. I want nothing, for now.
  13. The Mk3 parts work well, high tolerance, enough mass to stay in place, and reatively smooth.
  14. Good. Out of curiosity, how many times have yall had to delete accounts forcibly.
  15. Always pack at least 2 parachutes... Even on sats. Especially those orbiting places like Laythe, Kerbin, or Duna. If I put a sat in orbit around places like Dres, Mun, Minmus, I will forget the chutes and pack at least 200m/s extra fuel if I eventually want to deorbit the sats to replace them with new ones. I will also use that fuel to reposition them as well. Always pack more fuel than you need, as unforseen problems will always present themselves, whether it's the Mun interferring with your Duna transfer, causing you to have to adjust for a few hundred m/s, or a part giving trouble because of your ascent profile. Always bring your engineer along, as well as a scientist. Unless I am using a 3-4+ person capsule, then I will use just those two specialties. Always over engineer crafts, not too much, but enough to help success Make a way to get home fast, if it's an emergency, then I say screw fuel/craft costs, lets get 'em home as fast as possible Change crews often in stations Add areas to stations before you need too, do it before you need to. Add fuel before you use the station for a fuel depot.
  16. If you access the other left side sidebar I believe you can get the parts in an older state (I thinks). I know that it one way to get contracts like Test booster xyz. Removed parts, no, unless they left them in the game files, and you go digging through them to find these parts and manipulate the game into thinking that they are still in the game. Similar to how the data miners can go through games and catch minute details about future updates. Those are the best way to do it.
  17. Seriously??? You guys'll do that type of stuff? I believe so, not trying to answer the question, but I have seen accounts whose Icons have been greyed out, and their user profile hints as being anonymous users.
  18. [snip] Not trying to break the politics rule here, but its the baby's right too. And I am a God-fearing individual, and nothing will change that, I feel that that stuff should be taught in school But on the topic. 1. We signed a treaty with the Reds that we wouldn't use space as a weapon 2. A mirror of that size and proportion would be an outrage for every UN country in the world 3. How would we turn it off 4. How will we be sure that some maniac who wants world domination won't try and hijack it. Still, you are correct, how in the heck would you hide something that is 1000 sq ft in LEO, or even HEO.
  19. I doubt they have the manpower to do such a thing. I mean we know that they are all working on seperate aspects of the game. And they are one studio. Activision had IW do MW, Raven did Warzone, and for BOCW, they had Trearch, Blizzard, Shanghai, Raven(again for WZ), Beenox and a few others. The thing about ACT/B is they are a massive studio with other slightly smaller ones below them, so they can have on studio work on one aspect, while others work on others. Take 2 is one studio. I just dont see it man. Yeah. Like I said before, I don't see it happening. Yeah, another good point. If we were talkng Battlefield, Halo, COD, or some other big AAA title. Then I could, but this game, naw, not a chance in the underworld.
  20. Yes, or your like Activision Blizard and you have the ability to have the game ported over and optimized in no time flat.
  21. No, I volunteer, and I am not joking about it. But yes, I agree it was amazing.
  22. @Just Jim can we maybe get an update, or are you working on 1.12 already??
