  1. Could you by chance post your modlist? or just your graphical mods really. I feel like there is a conflict somewhere. Some people are having more success than others. Are you running dx9, dx11, or openGL?
  2. I will happily test your experimental warp vessel. I'm trying to get a lot of mods to play nice with 1.9 at the moment, so it would be more of the same troubleshooting.
  3. CKAN is still wizardry to me. I guess I just have to wait for them to index it or something?
  4. Some people had it working. Just figured I'd ask here since there's overlap and I'm not 100% sure if there aren't conflicts. Eve was breaking for people two. Just trying to get all the info I can.

  7. Why isn't this on CKAN? It's required for KSC Expanded, who's other dependencies were found, but I still have to install this manually....? I don't get it.
  8. The latest versions don't come with configs. You can get them from one of the older versions, or do what most people do and add "stock visual enhancements" textures and configs on top of EVE.
  9. could you possible write two optional configs, one that excludes all conflicting parts from being affected by turd (leaving restock versions) and a second that excludes all conflicting parts from being affected by restock (leaving the stock versions with recolor functions). That way any user can pick the part versions they want and delete the rest, leaving two configs that should be transferable after an update. Something like Restock-Overrides-TURD.cfg and TURD-Overrides-Restock.cfg There are many restock parts that I like better and am happy with as far as the variants (mostly rocket parts) but there are also parts that I would rather recolor, even if they have crappier models. The Mk1 inline docking port is a good example. The restock part looks much better, but you can't color it to match the rest of a craft. As I've said in older posts, I mainly want TURD for painting aircraft and spaceplanes, and I think that's true of a lot of users. I can edit patches, but writing them myself hasn't really manifested. I would try to do this myself, but I don't know where to start. Of course the holy grail would be to just add the recolor parts as another stock variant so you can switch between the different models in game, but I assume that's harder to do. On a side note, if you could use and implement color maps for restock parts, I would be happy to take a swing at making them. I'm a graphic designer and I've edited dds files in the past. I'm sure I can easily replicate your RGB color blocking. If there are any quirks or dds settings I should know, please fill me in.
  10. Update, I did have some config duplicates, but after removing them I still don't have any recolor functionality. The Z fighting is gone though. And the (restock) stock variants don't work either. Same problem as before. The slider shows no changes on the model for squad/shiny/bob ross. I reverted back to the scrubbed configs/deleted variant removal to regain functionality.
  11. Good lord, I spent two days trying to figure out what was borking my game. And of course as soon as I do: bam, a bunch of people saying the exact things I was googling on wednesday, to no avail. (thanks google) I had been updating and modifying mods for compatibility (restock+TU recolor) and though I had fouled the works somehow.   12. Hmmm... I may have. Not sure. But I am in the process of rebuilding my modlist on a fresh install, so we'll soon find out if that changes things. I've been having a major graphical bug involving black skies, non-rotating skyboxes, transparent Kerbin, missing map screen, and even locked camera controls. I removed all my graphical mods and still had the problem but it is gone in the fresh install without mods, so hopefully I just had some old conflicting files. Still testing. I'm trying out CKAN this time around. Will update with my results.
  13. I think this might explain the problem I'm seeing. Restock adds new variants to many stock parts, without changing meshes. Before this latest release, I had managed to get recolor working with restock by scrubbing the conflicting parts out of the configs, but after I replaced the files with the new version (that supposedly fixes things), I have new problems. Now some parts are not working with recolor OR the recolor variants. I doubt I've found all of them yet, but at the least, the mk1 command pod and 1.25m fuel tanks are a bit borked. The color variants of the pod don't show up at the bottom and seem to be in the slider bar where you used to switch from 'squad' to 'bob ross', only now there is also 'it's all shiny' and multiple options for the stock and shiny types. But I see no changes on the model. It looks like there are multiple textures clipping over each other on the pod. The recolor menu has no effect on the model either. screencaps edit: I was able to restore the restock parts by scrubbing the configs again, and also deleting the 'variant removal' config. Figure I will still post this because I want this mod to improve and I feel like there's an easier way to fix this. I'd love the option to add colorable parts as variants or additional 'clone' parts with whitelists so restock allows them to load.
  14. I'm having a problem with missing textures on the mk2 chines and some of the other aero parts: adapter intake, aerospace mount, engine shroud, ram scoop, and twin circular. I have restock and TU recolor depot, but from what I've seen, there are patches that solve any issues there. None of the whitelisting and config editing I've done has fixed it. They show up as solid gray in the editor but turn white when I switch to the TU version. The base textures still show up if I use the recolor UI, but uncolored areas are still white. Screencaps
  15. Can anyone help me get or make a patch to omit Restock and SSPXr parts from retexturing? I mostly want this for planes. Restock changes 150+ parts so making a patch might be a challenge. Luckily, I think a lot of the plane parts are spared, but some aren't. I'm a novice at editing configs/patches, but I'm good at learning, if I have the right info.
