  1. Wow, Eve looks really beautiful with this mod. The clouds look really fantastic from low orbit / higher in the atmosphere!
  2. Yeah keep an eye out for when it says "cannot be retracted" in the description. Solar panels that CAN retract are usually a little heavier, but they (usually) won't get blown off in an atmosphere.
  3. Hmm, does anyone know of a kind of manual to explain what the different buttons are expected to do, exactly?
  4. That's strange, I don't think I had issues with it in my 1.7.3 game. Maybe it was 1.7.2. I just had a fun idea, I don't think there are any stock contracts or contract packs that give you a mission to put a plane (something with only air-breathing engines) on another atmospheric body and do some of these challenges there. I've always really wanted to do plane stuff on these other planets but I haven't had a big reason to in the past.
  5. hell YEAH! EDIT: I will patiently wait for some hero to make a new Kerbin Side Remastered GAP contract pack
  6. As someone who snaps up any working contract packs I can find, I'd definitely use it
  7. Can't complete them even if you splash down? I have found some water on Mun and Minmus with that patch, lol. I guess some spots go under 0 elevation.
  8. Just wanted to pop in and say I'm having some fun with this contract pack on 1.7.3! Episode 3 wouldn't complete (something about the "vessel destroyed" flag wouldn't trigger), so I had to complete it manually in the Alt+F12 menu. I wonder why there aren't more contract packs like this!
  9. To the people wanting a discount, I would simply advise holding off on a pre-order and seeing if the game is worthy when it releases. If it is, we'll probably all spend well over 200 hours in it, and the price will be worth it.
  10. I kinda got this accidentally; I downloaded a mission pack that challenges one to summit the highest and lowest points on every celestial body. I guess the lowest point on the Mun is below sea level, because I VISITED A DURN LAKE ON THE MUN!!! looking forward to a proper patch
  11. Oh!!!!! You are godly! I've just been thinking about getting a good IVA! This is awesome!!!!!
  12. Oh god, I'm getting freaky jittery black oceans in Minmus now after trying that ocean-collider fix. lol. I'll just avoid them and land elsewhere for now...
  13. Wow, what great timing. Was plagued by the horrific FPS ocean-collider issue and a workaround is posted the day I look for a fix! Thanks for the workaround, and thanks everyone else for the bug hunting.
  14. This is happening to me too, trying to narrow it down. I presume it's something to do with a mod and not a stock bug, though haven't verified this for sure. It only happens when my vessel undergoes physics, the framerate is fine in timewarp and when EVA, away from the vessel's range. I've seen it happen on Duna and Minmus so far. EDIT: Oh and yeah, this doesn't happen on Kerbin for some reason. EDIT 2: Sources say it might be a Kopernicus problem. Here's a screenshot of my GameData folder
  15. Gosh, thank you so much, and quick on the update too! Hopefully this'll stay current for a while (until the inevitable 1.8). Again, thank you so much for the great work
  16. Heyo, Kopernicus is version-locked and will not work on versions it was not specifically built for. Since OPM uses it as a dependency it effectively means that neither mod works past update 1.7.1. Rest assured, now that 1.7.3 is out there should be a Kopernicus update *sometime* soon, and hopefully OPM will follow not long after. EDIT: Whoops, nevermind, didn't see that the new Kopernicus update was out! W00t! I retract my post and wish you luck with your problem.
  17. My $.30 are, I bet a lot of the developers in Squad have a lot of IDEAS, ideas out the whizbang about things they would do completely differently in KSP if they could start from scratch. I'm sure plenty of them have been thinking for a while "If we WERE to make a sequel, THIS is how we'd handle this flight model, THIS is how we'd handle aerodynamics this time around, THIS is how we'd build a parts system that is easier on performance and functionality", etc. At a certain point you gather up enough of those ideas, throw together a design doc, make a list of things you'd be able to greatly expand on to otherwise make a sequel worth it (more in-depth campaign mode, some kind of storyline probably centered around progressively discovering alien tech, fookin' life support options). I'm almost certain they've done or are doing all of this conceptual work already. Then that design doc gets pitched to some executives, and either people start working on it, or it's thrown on a shelf for a year or two while other stuff is being worked on. This is the part we don't know.
  18. Got a strange bug, not sure what it might be related to. Only mods I have installed are Restock, the Near Future Technologies mods, and the required dependencies. Installed them over an already-in-progress early career save. When I put a vessel on the launchpad and then recover it, I'm getting back a lot more money than I've spent making it. For example, for some reason the game thinks the recovery part value of each OX-STAT solar panel is like 5,000, when it only costs me a couple hundred to put on. Difficulty is set to Hard. Here's a link to the log file if needed -- https://www.dropbox.com/s/u9dg0vgh910ht58/output_log - wrong recovered part values.txt?dl=0 And a pic of the strangeness -- https://imgur.com/a/nTmyVu6 Hopefully someone has an idea of what's going on! And thanks
  19. Thank you so much for your work on this mod I use it with the Outer Planets and it really makes me excited to Kerbal all over again
  20. Gosh thanks for all your work Pood, this (and by extension, Kopernicus) was the central mod package I was waiting on continuing my save in 1.7.1 for
