  1. I've been trying to make some lovely metal and mylar parts, but the albedo channel does literally nothing. I tried a number of different textures and even tried adding an alpha channel to my .png files, thinking that might be the issue. Nada. It's still a) a uniform color and b) white, no matter what color I input. Send rescue craft immediately,
  2. Well, I got it figured out well enough (though I'll be using smokescreen for my Z-pinch fusion drives). Now I just need to figure out why mechjeb won't recognize my "docking port" that I'm using (in conjunction with docking autopilot) to guide a satellite interceptor.
  3. Sorry, I was asking for my own purposes. I was trying to figure out how to get *any* custom effects in game. I ought to have prefaced it with that. Thanks, by the way, for the pointers. Finally figured it out, but the scale is all wrong and I can't seem to change it... very vexing.
  4. Any idea if one could use an old version of unity? If so, which one, and where would I find a legacy version of part tools?
  5. I am working on a part with RCS ports, so I can't use stock RCS effects (they appear to be multiparticle effects, and don't work well with the model in question). Unfortunately, KSP PartTools' particle emitter breaks my saved particle effects, and the "set up particle emitter" button does absolutely nothing. I'm going to see if I can get my effects to work without it, but I doubt KSP will support them. Help.
  6. Damndest thing indeed. I'm making a mod, at present, and only *one* part does not work, but when I take the models from other parts I've made, it works. If I try using any model made after the time I made its model, it is unclickable.
  7. Bleh. I get why the 5 post rule exists...but it's a bit vexing.
  8. I've been working on a BDArmory expansion. All but one of the parts I modeled work fine in game. One part in particular, however, does not. It appears to be an issue with the model exported from unity. I've rewritten the .cfg 3 times, checked that it works with part models fabricated prior to the issue, and tried making new models after the fact. None of the new models work. Has anyone ever experienced this problem? I suspect it has to do with either an oversight on my part in Unity or a bug with part tools. Please for the love of god send a rescue craft.
