  1. If you've read my message, and hadn't seen my RCA Satcom series message, I suggest you add all RCA Astro-built geosynchronous satellite buses to the U.S Probes Pack instead. Here's what I was talking about (for Mars Observer). First, the TIROS/DMSP-based science instruments (which also includes the booms) will be replaced with a giant satellite dish (similar to all RCA Astro/GE AstroSpace manufactured satellites from the 80s/90s). Second, the one solar panel would be removed, to be replaced with two solar panels. And lastly, there would be a perfect, cylindrical hole to mount the Star 37 apogee motor.   2. Everyone at the KSP forums, I have made my first ever mod for KSP. It's the "Equality" rocket mod. It uses a model of the Omnidroid rocket, half cut to make the lower stage in Windows' 3D editing apps and converted for use in Blender and Unity, finally making my own modding dreams a reality. If you can launch spacecraft that heavy, like a 4 ton satellite, you gotta have this addon. It's in Beta, which means the rocket won't appear in KSP, despite it being loaded. The KSP modding community would be happy to make improvements to the rocket, because I included a COLLADA file in the zip to make improvements.   3. Hello. I would like to report a problem. You see, my 5m engine plate is decoupling prematurely. Could it be a kraken? If anyone can fix this problem, please reply.
  4. After successfully showing the KSP community my recreations of the Pegasus rocket from "Captain Earth", it's time for a mod for KSP! My own proposal is as follows: Hybrid Rockomax/Kebodyne tank with integrated adapter Large H-II-based upper stage (with minor modifications) Pegasus SRBs And finally, the aerodynamic boosters themselves. These are only fuel tanks for KSP (except for the SRBs) and require you to add 3 "Vector" engines on the core stage, 2 "Vector" engines for the aerodynamic boosters, and 1 "Skiff" engine (from the expansion pack) to make the mod work. BTW, if modders have seen episodes of Captain Earth, you must create a recreation of the Pegasus rocket as it looked in the anime. I hope everyone will get to recreate this rocket in KSP!
  5. Remember this rocket from Captain Earth when Globe launched it to prevent the alien menace? You know, the "Kill-T-Gang"? Now, this rocket has become a reality, in 5 different versions! Ladies and Gentlemen, I (and Mitsubishi themselves) present to you, the Pegasus rocket family! The rockets are as follows: Pegasus (the original) Pegasus-E (for Expendable) Pegasus-L (for Liquid, hinting at the liquid-fueled boosters) Pegasus-P (from "poudre", French for solid), and Pegasus-L Hydrolox , a more powerful (and environmentally friendly) version of the Pegasus, with 4 Hydrolox engines. Also included is the "X Base One Propulsion Section" for "X Base One" (in turn both based on NASA's Constellation program and the BBC's Doctor Who (Bowie Base One, The Waters of Mars), and the Pegasus 2, Pegasus-M for the MRC, Pegasus-H for my original "Hippogriff" spacecraft, Pegasus-O for the Orion spacecraft, Unicorn, EuroPegasus, DORUS, and a version for the launch of Mir's core module.   7. Have you ever tried doing a mod for KSP, featuring a rocket from Pixar's 2004 film "The Incredibles"? The Omnidroid robot was launched on Syndrome's own designed heavy-lift rocket, and I thought you guys could recreate it in Blender, and use Unity to transform the geometry into rocket parts. Also, since 1.12 is the last version of the original KSP game, this will be the only mod for 1.12 (I think).
  8. Well, that's somehow a simplified version of what went wrong on the flight. The audio from "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" that you're hearing now is from the end, when Sky Captain and Polly managed to release the Ark's animal cargo in floating escape pods and then paralyzing the Ark's computer in mid-flight, preventing the second-stage booster engines from igniting, therfore rupturing the fuel lines, the fire resulting from this igniting the second stage (presumably at cookoff point) and destroying the Ark. Yep. This is where the similiarites meet. Ariane 5 self destructs mid-flight, and the Ark from the movie gets destroyed in mid-flight due to a design flaw. You're absolutely right about that!
  9. I have thought of this being shown to all of you. It's an Ariane 5 exploding. I added alternate subtitles to see on what is happening on this maiden flight of the launcher. The audio is from "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" to make it dramatic to all of you.

  19. Hello everyone! It's been a long time since I have made threads (including the failed 1998 Lost in Space film DLC thread). I welcome myself to the Kerbal Space Program forums, and a belated happy new year to all of you! BTW, Has anyone seen Technological Threat when this was made? It was made in the days when Silicon Graphics was still young, about 7 years after its founding, and less than a decade before Silicon Graphics introduced OpenGL to the world.

  21. Why is it a good idea - for Star Theory - for them to develop this DLC? It's fun for the Kerbal community to make rockets based on this 1998 Lost In Space DLC. Blender and Unity will take hundreds or more hours of my time to learn. That's why I'm still campaigning Star Theory to develop that DLC. And don't worry, they'll not deviate from other projects. They'll still work on them. I may email Star Theory or Take Two to make the 1998 Lost in Space film DLC just for you and me, and the entire KSP community. I may paint your car purple or yellow if you want.
