  1. Wow, awesome re-creation of Flash's spaceship! Man that was cool!
  2. No problems, like I said way at the top of this topic "(as well as aircraft) " so it all really counts for me as well. I always remind people Nasa's second confirmation of things very cool is aeronautics! Like you, I love anything that flies in any sense of the term. Looking at your aircraft list, the SR-71... the best EVER! I think Kelly Johnson was so far ahead of his time.. Man what an awesome engineer and his aircraft as well. The blackbird could outrun a rocket..... so cool, so very cool.
  3. Oh wow, all of those books look just awesome @XB-70A The Energia, the Haynes manuals, all really look great and the Titan II and really all of them. Very very Cool. Got me into looking for more stuff in my space related shelves. LOL Cool book from 1989 called "Space Diary" Another Shuttle book by Robin Kerrod published by Gallery books - 1984.
  4. Well just got this awesome book from my daughter for my birthday recently. She knows how much I love the Saturn V and got me the hard bound edition of the "The Saturn V Workshop Manual". Added here as well to the right is the very old ""The Space Shuttle Operators Manual" in another part of my library I forgot to add into this topic as well. A really nice book that was published way back in 1982. The Saturn V workshop Manual was done recently in 2016. Both of these along with my "The Space Transportation Systems Reference" seen up above are awesome references for KSP design Ideas.
  5. Sent Val to the dark side of Minmus to do some science and also bring two tourists to land on that cool small satellite as well. Notice her red hair was done just for this photograph. She is also a Star Trek follower and even got her space suit from a Trek convention. She really likes Spock as well as Nasa.
  6. Welcome to the KSP forum @VoidCosmos New here since the end of last year, but yea so much fun with KSP and this forum and a Hi there as well. I am running 1.8.1 and 1.9.1 (latest) from steam.....Have fun!
  7. LOL, yup I think we all do this on a daily basis, haha! Welcome to the KSP forum @arthur106. New here myself since the end of last year, but yea so much fun with KSP and this forum. Wow you seem like me! I have always loved rocketry all my life and so cool to see another engineer here. My advice for coding related stuff is a youtube guy called Mike Aben. A math teacher that does KSP and kos. The best recommendation I have....Have fun!
  8. Welcome to the KSP forum @Ryohei56. New here myself since the end of last year, but yea so much fun with KSP and this forum. Wow you seem like me! I have always loved rocketry all my life and just came across KSP by accident last year but played years of Runescape, Guildwars2, etc. I am running 1.8.1 and 1.9.1 (latest) from steam. I watch a few very cool youtubes vids too like Scott Manley and Mike Aben (his KSP Tutorials are great). Well welcome to the forum and the best recommendation....Have fun!
  9. A trip to Minmus for a contract to plant a flag on it. Did a bit of science as well and got Shannon Kerman here for her science tasks too for another contract. Been here dozens of times in the past few months and I just love this little satellite. Did some improvements on my Basilia starship as well. Also over 6 months now since last October for playing KSP with well over 1000 hours... woot!
  10. Like it visually showed, I had them, used it only for a contract in my game, dont really care afterwards. Whats your point other than an update comment? Thank you for that as well. Like our topic says "What did you do in KSP today"
  11. Well about to start up KSP, no family over for Easter and to put up this meme!
  12. I always hated those Russian dolls, lol
  13. Well still playing around with JNSQ re-imagined quarter scale mod to the KSP solar system and man its alot of fun. Put on a massive pair of old rusty boosters attached to this awesome bdb Mercury - Atlas rocket. HAHA!! I bet I got a few more orbits more than John Glenn did on MA-6!
  14. The end of this 10 minute video was worth the watch, man... the Kerbals never get a break!
  15. No problem buddy. Yea you got it right, all electronic devices that have a micro-computer chip (or even in the case of the cartridge) its always a cap. Capacitors will hold a charge for about 10 seconds or more, depending on the device and hang on for just that much time. That cap is in the Game boy. On another note tho speaking of caps, Its sad that VERY old electronic devices will never finally fail because of something going wrong in a way and not just the battery. One component will always bring them down. Its always the caps that will kill power-supplies, make screens go blank and really most anything else useless. Capacitors dry up after time. It may not be a year or two but it will take a much longer time, maybe a decade or so. Some dont tho but most will. So if you have anything that finally just went dead... always know that 9 times out of 10, its a cap that dried up. Whats good is that when it happens, get your soldering skills in use and replace all the electrolytic capacitors on the board and what may happen... it all comes back to life. For just a few bucks and some time, its almost brand new.
  16. Yea those cartridges (from the old days) had a 3 volt watch like battery soldered on the board. This was done alot because the ROM inside could not keep game scores and such. I have replaced a few of them for my daughter but you have to open the case and know how to use a soldering iron. They still can be found on evilbay for a few bucks but it will take some work to get them back to life.
  17. Went for walk today and met basic human nature that made me chuckle. Well let me back up a few days though to understand this. I have been walking everyday since this virus started. Safe, quiet and not too many people around. To my amazement, some people on the narrow sidewalks do not take a 6 foot circled turn on the grass when they go by you. They don't get it. Most of the time I have to do this myself to keep us both safe. Our state recently decided to recommend that we wear masks now. This is to be on the safe side before the peak hits very soon with the important pharmacy and grocery store trips that we all still need to do. Even though walking does not seem to be a problem with that, I put my small white 3M airbrush mask on. I will do this for these walks from now on. (I am a model maker so I already had these). Now when I went for my walk today, with the mask on.... EVERY body walks around me on the grass!! So wear one, it will save you from some of the stupid people that really still don't understand whats going on.
  18. Welcome to the KSP forum @truckmen Wow every one up above that left comments are so correct. Man I have learned so much about space flight due to ksp its amazing. I was into it years before this as well. I am new here myself with the forum since the end of last year, but yea so much fun with KSP. So glad you have joined us in this awesome journey. Have fun!

  21. Last night I got my 1st contract to find an area on a Minmus location and do some science on it. It was funny tho to actually stand right next to the location within a meter, so I put up a flag anyways marking the location as a first. Got back to KSC with some awesome science credits, wooot!
  22. Never clicked a like for this silly image! So glad I try to keep up with the times ksp wise, but good try on that funny day.
