  1. So looking forward to watching this. Count me in with your efforts.
  2. Yes as a matter fact, when DocSkilz built his ship he said it was ugly, but to me (still very knew with KSP by 3 months or so) I replied to him "yup very ugly but practical". I saw him getting to minmus with left over fuel so yea, that was the ship for me, especially for my 1st landing! The V2 does not look like the Saturn vehicles but they both are very practical. To me tho, both of them are so cool looking and part of my soul. I just really had so much fun doing that, so the Mun and beyond is next. With rockets that are beautiful or dumb!
  3. (1.8.1, DLC's [MH & BG], some basic mods) First and foremost I not only made it with an orbit around minmus but landed on it for the very 1st time! WOOOT! The only landing I have ever made as well, since I started to enjoy this space program for a little over 3 months now. The past few days I have been watching videos by a cool KSP player called DocSkilz. He was in a hard mode play and built a ship to bring him to minmus. I was almost at the same tier as he was so I built mine very similar to his with about the same Delta V and structure for this 1st time ever mission for me. I put a bit more dv into it myself just to be safe, being still a bit clumsy. He named his spacecraft Basilia after some names he got from a D&D reference, so to honor his mission, I called mine Basilia 2. Last week I got a contract from Gene Kerman to bring only Jebediah around minmus for only 1 orbit and come home. So being that this video was so close to my contract, I decided to try and land Jeb on minmus as well, get science and plant my 1st flag on another world. Here is the mission with Jeb flying Basilia 2 to minmus. Thanks Doc for all your help. Finally got to minmus. Mission objective achieved! Drifting forward just a little bit; that's good. Contact Light, Shutdown, Okay. Engine Stop. KSC, Basilia 2 has landed! “That’s one small step for a kerbal, one giant leap for kerbalkind.”
  4. @KerrMü Wow awesome Orion III Space Clipper!
  5. No it was Dave Bowman's final words, not Bowie. Just sayin...
  6. (KSP-1.8.1, Making History, Breaking Ground, a few basic mods) Last night I got what looked like a simple contract to launch an engine near the mun. Only to escape, so not a landing on it or even getting close. Did not know it was this engine shown below that I needed to "Haul" up to the mun! Mammoth should have clued me in tho, but I did not read what Gene Kerman gave me until I got to the VAB. - - - Yikes! The S3 KS-25x4 "Mammoth" Liquid Fuel Engine is a liquid fuel engine with four nozzles. It is currently the most expensive part and the most powerful engine available in the game. OK here is the rocket I made in the VAB called the "Von Braun Monster": Had to also test a small structural pylon as well at the same location. It was a fast build for just hauling this very large 4 engine bad boy (shown in the bottom middle with Jebs capsule on top ) with about 4800m/s of thrust to get into orbit, adjust for the Mun with 4 liquid engines attached to it and with some jettison-able solid boosters. Please note: I could NOT use the Mammoth engine until I got up to the Mun! Jeb to KSC, ready for takeoff 5.....4.....3.....2.....1.... ignition sequence start.. blast - off! OK KSC, ready to test the Mammoth. Counting down now...5.....4.....3.....2.....1.... ignition test, the S3 KS-25x4 is successful! Jebidiah and Bill, back home for the ticker tape parade or at least some kerbucks from Kerbodyne!
  7. Banned because I banned myself many posts ago! here ------- /\
  8. I have stream and your right @fulgur and they are in the screenshots folder in the main Kerbal Space Program folder. I also use the free web program called IrfanView to open them up and post them into the free image website called cubeupload. May seem like alot @michaelbezos1 but worth the try. BTW, I saw your work on the Comanche-3 rocket on your website and it looks really nice. I hope you will have a great launch with it.

  11. (1.8.1, dlc's [MH & BG], some basic mods) Well last night I did two missions. One with my newly upgraded aircraft called Nitengale III and one simple mission to the mun for some science. The science task was simple and to the Mun seemed a bit out of the way so I took one Kerbal that only needed a sun-orbit around Kerban for the trip to our neighbor satellite. I know Gene Kerman is going to doc me for bring a passenger to the Mun when only a suborbit was need but hey, Liszon Kerman did not mind a free trip to the Mun on KSC's kerbucks. Nitengale III mission: Valentina and Sally Kerman had fun to get just 3 pressure readings from Dinkelstein's Odessey. The last one was on the edge of this cliff. Fortunately I slid just by it enuff to get it, put on the brakes and revert home. Yea, I could have taken off from this edgy cliff, but I did not save it at this point and really, I was wanted to do some rocketry as tonight. Now for the quick jump over to the Mun with a free trip for Liszon Kerman.
  12. Wow I tried them all tonight! Thanks peeps! alt F4 seems like a great way to get out quick and get the current "Backups" folder (as @Geonovast mentioned) with the previous persistent file. Rename, and set it back up (while saving the current one aside, just in case) and your all set to go. I knew about the persistent file by itself in saves but not what the backups did to save a kerbal from KIA! So cool. Testing SAVES mod is cool as well and has great features for extended save functions. All just great tools for making a Kerbal mission a happy one. From Jebs last task even he wants to Thank you all! I do have to say tho, watch out for altF4, many times I use altF5 to save some missions I am on with a name! In the dark that could be dangerous, lol!
  13. May the force be with you and good luck!
