Your "old" commented code works (sort of, you and I both know it's flawed) but: Shaders are still screwy. Sun lensflares in particular replicate like nuts. Also, there was transluscent water in my report gathering, if one used ocean shaders. This was in more or less a straight recompile using the older horizon code lines. I'd make a pull request for you, but really, I think that's about it and I deleted my repos when people thought I was trying to poach your stuff (not at all, its your baby) Good luck and welcome back. Easy. You don't just make a lack of life support, you make the kerbals invincible to everything and unable to die. No hibernaton even. They shrug off everything happily. Maybe do a carefree jog or something... Bonus points for cartoonish animations and cute emojis when they get "hurt" or "fall" And by bonus points, I mean, "run away do not buy points" Of course, this is a horrible idea. Take two, if you are reading this post, please... don't. Think of the goodness you could do by pretending you never saw this.

Hello. Been directed here. Want to lock this thread, it ran it's course long ago and nothing is being said we cannot discuss later in the "ethics" thread. I reported it earlier but aparently thats not how we do it here. I appreciate your help.

Yeah. I'm not going to go that far, because if they are coding for free you really lose the right to complain about the wishes of the author at all, ethically speaking. If they are doing it for magic internet fame or a big resume that's fine. Cool, hope it works for you. But please, let me know in the license, or at least understand when I make an mistake in assuming it meant what it said. The fact that people still are telling me how bad what I did was literally 48 hours after my pulls is kinda amazing to me, but not in any good way. Worse yet, my mods are aparently being reported as causing issues "all over" (mod told me this in a PM). I have no idea how that's possible as the only one to be up for any amount of time outright refused to load due to the rename and thus never produced a logger entry... There's a guy on the forums here somewhere who tested it and knows that to be the case. It literally can't be showing up in logs at all and yet people are blaming me for... heck if I know, something broke and I didn't do it. When I break things, I do it to completion *chuckles* I would like a mod to close this sooner than later though. This needs to be in the past, and the only place we should talk about this is in our very justified "ethics" thread.

I've done a few hundred part ships fine on a 1080... but graphics aren't going to even be a factor there. What is his CPU? Mine is an 8-core 9900k running at 5Ghz allcore, so yeah, it's fine. Doesn't mean the game is efficient either. I mean it uses like two cores tops, for starters.

I hate disney pretty intently, but there is a lot more than one datapoint. I can practically count on three hands the number of active star wars game conversions they could go after, bur have not. One things you guys seem to misunderstand is that fame is not why anyone should be modding IMO. Seriously, in my work I do not care beyond keeping the project free and license accordingly. Pride is not a factor. It's about my users and helping people. I don't care if you think I'm satan incarnate for whatever I've made... that's not my problem, it's free. Yes, you can find these people, but don't bother them. They've respected my request to just keep our little issue seperate, and a forum war would serve no one. On second thought, except Ford, he still hasn't played Kerbal and he needs corrections... feel free to bug him immensely. I've been doing exactly that for years.

Visuals matter too, for some much more than others. I would simply suggest doing a simple thing though if you have the steam edition: Under game properties, use the "betas" opt-in tab to revert to 1.7.3. Thank me later.

Curse is named accurately, eh? I used to say they were the curse of curse, which is twice as bad as a normal curse. I remember when they almost killed bukkit with explosive unexpected advertising, only to have Mojang finish the job later. No friends there. Yeah, I read some more and you are right. The GNU foundation has some helpful docs on this. It's the distribution that's messy. And we have several people I have pointed out distributing with incompatible licensed products included in binary form. There is no question if that is a violation, it simply is. I had plans for myself, yes. The plans include keeping the original fork exactly how it is, which he isn't doing. He plans a complete rewrite and I like it just the way it is, albeit compatible with latest release. That's really not a new feature, nor will it be released. Again, please quit this nonsense. It seems I own you an apology. I was under the impression curse owned bukkit at that point in time. The point is who really lost was the users. And it was completely avoidable. I know, and that's what they are doing.

As for your lack of reading: Mojang didn't get served, Bukkit did. GPLv3 code must link with GPLv3 code. It cannot and shall not link to anything else but a (x)GPLv3 license Guess what Kopernicus isn't doing? That's a cool idea! Oh wait... the whole point was to generate bugs. If you ask me, the unfortuante thing I forsee happening if TT has an "incident" and has to deal with modding DMCAs, is they will completely kill the mod API in KS2. That's fearmongering of course. But it's not entirely impossible either. If I was in their shoes and "mods" caused me to have to settle legally in any form, I'd kill them immediately. They probably don't even really know what mods are, they just want to know why they exist and are causing them trouble. Yeah, the rename broke everything because scatterer references it's own name in shader names. It was going fricking awful and was outright comical. You weren't on the original fork though, I removed that because people complained that I used the same name. That one worked fine other than sun flares and water shaders, and some users here still have a build of it. Don't make me get some to prove my point, because I actually can. Look, I'll be frank, provide proof or quit telling tall tales. You and I both know that's a lie and it makes it rather pointless as this isn't a popularity contest.
