  1. Yeah the first time I played stock in 1.7.3 and hit 300 + with no mods, and hit 12 fps, I couldn't figure out what happened. I thought I had a major virus. lol. HeapPadder mod helped me gain almost 15 fps on average and on 1.9.1 it puts me over 40 fps average. Though with all these mods, my gpu was only tapping roughly 60% before, and now it's pegged at 98% so that's a HUGE increase. lmao.
  2. I'm only using 16 gigs ram, and a 1080 and I get better frames than that on average............ until I hit about 250 parts plus. I get a dip for a few seconds sometimes, that's it. Try using heappadder? Also I'm on a fully fresh install of win 10 so that may help some...... lol. No overclock on anything, and a hyper12 fan cooler on my cpu. Of course this fan is a beast.......... and my ambient temp is like 65 the past 2 or more weeks thanks to spring being here......... probably a big bonus.
  3. It did this in 1.8.1 for me as well before I used your fixes. Hope you get feeling better! Msi gaming x gtx 1080 8gb.
  4. The glory of visual mods........... EVE, Spectra, Scatterer unofficial build, Planet Shine, Distant Objects Enhanced all on 1.9.1 in full glory. And the rest can be found in this gallery: https://imgur.com/gallery/JgYZjK5 These aren't even my favorite views, just the ones I wasn't drooling over to the point I forgot to screen shot it.............. this is 2k, running on windows 10 pro, 135 mods, 40-80 fps average during launch, i7-7700k 4.5 ghz boost, msi gaming x gtx1080 8gb, 16 gigs gskill ripjaw V ddr4, corsair 500gb sata ssd.
  5. My apologies but I keep posting in the original Scatterer forum and forgetting so the screenshots I posted about........ are going to go here. A couple aren't uploading so I can't show much. These issues may not be anything to do with scatterer, and or may not be fixable. I'm fine with that. Simply if it IS scatterer I figured showing you might help you track down a bug. That shadow artifact drives me nuts. It's random. Not every launch, nor does it stay, it blinks rapidly. So fast I can't usually screen capture it........ I got lucky on a split second of lag. This was without terrain shadows on, without physics range extended, and without distant objects enhanced turned on. Click the plus on the pic, then right click, go down to copy image link, copy, paste it as an image url. I just had the same problem.
  6. I will grab screens of just the launch pad etc. in flight and space center mode tonight and hopefully remember to post them before bed. I figured out what caused my last bug with shadows, and it has to do with physics range extended. Not with Scatterer. So now that I know that I turned it off....... suddenly the jitter on the vab during launch (and all around the shore line at times) is no longer present. However a strange bug DOES happen if you turn on accurate sky reflections and don't have anti aliasing on..................... it throws a log error repeating operation null, dropping fps to 1 then releasing until you get to the dark side of the planet. Only way it stopped was on the dark side of the planet, far enough from Kerbin, and after I turned on AA. My frame rate went up by 5, not down........... so I was impressed. lol Edit: to clarify, the null error says something about a null reference and a line or two I can't remember then the important one saying "something" to the effect of ocean's needing AA to work...................... turned off aa again, and reloaded the game with the accurate sky reflections off, and it didn't happen...... back on it did. Then turned on both that and AA and it works. The 2k views......................... are breathtakingly real. I do get a slightly out of place sunset line at sharp angles however. When viewing from the day/night border into day side.... if zoomed out a little so you see almost all of Kerbin, but just a small section of the north and south missing I get sunset where it should be noon. Not something I care about, but for your own future reference....... maybe that's E.V.E or perhaps sunflares however? Or spectra?
  7. You need to make sure you've installed RTB's unofficial release, the link is in those posts. That takes care of the oceans disappearing, so long as you're running KSP 1.9.1 and not 1.9.
  8. You are ROCKING this update stuff! I check in almost every day and I'm 3 behind already! lol. Will capture a screen or two, because every time you drop one, my visuals go up just a tick. Now if only I knew how to code and such to help...... lol
  9. Dude, it works like a dream. I'm hitting more stable fps than I was in 1.8.1 or 1.7.3, or even 1.9.1 stock! Stable.... not better..... just more steady. lol. I'm averaging 80 fps.... slowly adding my mods back besides this one to test their interaction and so far, I've got spectra, Eve, planetshine, real real physics extended, distant objects enhanced, and then a long list of others (total of 108). 80+ fps on average on ULTRA settings! And the images are INSANE! There are "minor" bugs I'm noticing but they aren't dipping my fps and they are mostly just there, not a big deal. #1, when I hit about 200km above kerbin the clouds start to fade out and then a few hundred meters farther and it all loads properly again but it's the out of atmosphere map view type clouds after. I'm pondering if that's either real physics, or extended range though honestly. I have some minor texture issues over KSC at times during launch for brief seconds where a strange flicker will occur then stop. Not at all sure why. I tried to screen capture it but they're short lived, and I didn't get a good enough view without a video. I'm calling this golden.... I'm switching my career over to KSP 1.9.1 pending Kopernicus and quite happy. I mean......... honestly I might do it tomorrow because I have yet to go past Jool.................. I'm en route to Laythe......... have yet to get far enough to warrant using the outer planets mod, which is sad but........... realistically it's going to be a while............ I can't for the life of me get past jool with any remaining delta V, and have not made it home from yet.............. don't tell me tricks, I've youtubed and I'll get there. I have to learn this on my own sooner or later lmao. Anyway, HUGE thanks. Here's a teaser, my favorite view I've had in KSP to date just a few minutes ago....... The gallery for those images............. I'll add to it later on but for now..................................... Imagur, with the title saying everything needed to know about these images.
  10. *cries* I reaaaaly wish I knew how to code now. lmao. I have been trying to get this mod to work for weeks and just saw the posts here. Oh well, I have no idea what I'm doing enough to make it work....................... se la vi.
  11. KS3P, a custom sunflare, scatterer, EVE, and I believe that's AVP or Spectra. Oh btw........ my frame rate does drop sorry, I found out I lied................. I compared it to my modded 1.8.1 with scatterer and no custom configs and EVE on 1.9.1............... 20 fps.......... with AVP 20 fps. My 1.8.1 fully loaded with over 150 mods............ 32 fps........................ no mods on 1.8.1 stable at roughly 80 fps with a lot of change too rapidly to get an average. 1.9.1 is slower but appears to be less jerky and laggy so runs smoother. Exiting time warp on 1.8.1 will freeze the game for a little while, a minute, or sometimes a second. But noticeable. 1.9.1 doesn't slow down more than a few seconds and didn't freeze at all. Unfortunately, I am having a random bug that keeps randomly booting me in 1.9.1 and it's rather irritating. No log showing exactly what caused it, so I do a fresh clean no mod install of 1.9.1, then it still does happens on a new save............ must be a new windows update or something not sure. lol
  12. I wish it were something possible, like how the VAB is placed. lol. Unfortunately I'm quite sure adding a mod that does that is likely impossible at the moment. Would be nice though.
  13. Well I had to verify file integrity on KSP, something borked. Anyway I got it back up and running, then found out part of my problem is SVE mod is being goofy. So I went with Spectra. HOLY VISUAL YUMM!!! But um....... what system slow down? What are you guys doing, I want to try to repeat it for myself, because.......... mine was running really really smooth. The only issue I ran into is that I can't load a kerbal as crew or it crashes unity. Not a mod issue so not posting about that here.......... here's the screens........... I'm going to tinker more and see if building a vessel bigger causes as big of lag....... but minimizing my mods from over 100 to 5 really makes a difference lmfao. I'm running: I7-7700k stock MSI gaming gtx1080 8gb ASROCK z270 gaming mobo 16 gigs DDR3 3200 Gskill Ripjaws V ram Corsair 500gb sata ssd 4g lte internet connection because I can't get anything else in this building. >.< It's not showing the image, so here's the gallery for all of the current uploads
  14. On a ship that size my system didn't lag that bad. The problem is that it didn't look ANYTHING as gorgeous as this. I had my settings on max for launch, and it was no where this beautiful on a 1440p monitor.... even in screenshots. In a bit I'll try to load up and show you what I mean. I get everything scatterer gives using force-dx12 but it's just nothing quite as nice as this video...... maybe it's the tons of other mods and something not playing well so i'll wipe all of it except eve, scatterer and SVE before showing you. lol I don't play on 1.9.1 yet, except to goof off until the official releases hit. 1.8.1 looks much nicer in my opinion compared to my 1.9.1 on ultra simply because I have Kopernicus and OuterPlanets installed.
  15. Mind uploading that as a mod or messaging me how to do it?! I LOVE that look! I love realism, but that red would be a nice change sometimes, so long as it's not going to massively change orbits of anything or interfere with Outer Planets.
  16. Honestly, I think it looks stunning. I believe it more or less depends on your graphics settings, as well as resolution etc. I'm running on a 32" AOC AGON 144hz 2560x1440 and it looks so close to real I can't help but be in awe.
  17. I was seeing a post about this all over the the KSC fan page. I kept telling people (stupidly) that it was Kopernicus until someone corrected me lmao! Apologies to anyone that came here because of me. And apologies to Galileo for any undo stress I may have induced by sending people here!
  18. If you're using AVC it will pop up a message saying Scatterer has an update. So long as you're connected to the internet that is. I still check in here because CKAN doesn't always have the update when AVC shows there is an update though. I honestly am not concerned about how long it takes for the 1.9 version though. lol.
  19. Originally I had a problem with scatterer and SVE, it caused the no oceans, and a white and black sky. Ever since the 1.8.1 update, and since so many other mods were updated, I've had no issue with that whatsoever. I did try 1.9, and it didn't work, so I reverted. I would rather play 1.8.1 with scatterer than 1.9 without. Also Kepernicus is an absolute must as well. lmao. In my opinion, the textures with sve look better than 1.9 without ever could. Edit: I just read you aren't using SVE but using AVP.... I'm wondering if that could be the issue...... have you tried uninstalling Astronomers visual pack first? Double check also that you aren't using Stock Visual Enhancements at the same time. If so, it's likely a conflict. I love AVP but the clouds on some planets were far too thick, or too thin in some places..... for some reason on Kerbin the clouds were beautiful but the city lights were stretched and looked terrible. I like SVE simply for the way the clouds are puffy but not over done. lol. Anyway, just hoping maybe to help you sort it out.
  20. Not a developer so I will defer at that point. I just wanted to give a couple examples lol. Targ and Opt (target and options). Target gives you the ability to set a rendezvous target for matching planes during ascent rather than after establishing an orbit. Options I believe is the options to, if you click that, it may just take out some of the things that you need it to in order to press engage. But my guess is it's going to be your screen resolution that's causing it to not fit....... though I could easily be wrong and I apologize if not. I don't have a clue how to fix it though.
  21. There are many cases where using electric limit can keep you from running out of electricity during ascent, at the moment you begin your autowarp after engine cut off to circularize the burn. Smaller vessels in particular. And in cases where you can't safely have external solar panels (all of mine always break if they aren't stowed safely, especially when using FAR) so this button helps keep it from dropping too far by automatically doing whatever needed to keep above the minimum. At least that's what I've noticed it do on mine (not sure that's entirely the intention ). Throttle limit, for single stage to orbit is going to help keep you from using too much fuel, and also maintains a bit more control, not everyone uses 100% all the time. In fact there are many times I've dropped to nearly 30% throttle to keep from burning up on atmospheric exit. I'm not sure on hotstaging. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know how some of us do use it.
  22. I'm sticking with 1.8.1 for a bit. Feel free to take your time and do things however you need guys. lol. I'm quite happy with your work and effort, and as soon as I have some cash come in I'm going to send a donation. Kopernicus is a must have. I would revert all the way back to the beginning if it meant using it still. To all of you visual mod creators and mod authors that work so hard on all of the mods (I use so dang many) you have no idea how much you are appreciated by me. The game is great without them, but with them it's become by far the best game I've played to date. Thank you all! Oh and Galileo, your attention to detail is seriously under appreciated!
