  1. Kudo's on this awesome beauty. Normally I stick to realistic or at least experimental drives, but I've been sad that no one has truly taken the star trek design approach. I am no modder and have no idea how to even consider doing it, but........ possible suggestion for a future release........... Star Trek Discovery Spore Drive................ you know what....... possible future release (begging) for any mod author................ near copyright violation (just shy of for safety sake) star trek parts............... any and all variants if anyone is so inclined and has time..... lmao. I can see myself using this mod a LOT for my longer hauls along side KSPIE, Near Future, etc. Adding in beamed power to the idea of this drive to me just makes sense regardless of realism.
  2. I am having a problem with the Pelican VTO engine. As well as the thermo nozzle. Both engines list what they're capable of before I put them on the plane, but once i do, and I try to switch propellant either in the SPH or on the runway it's the same result. I can't. The button propellant window pulls up a small box with 3 dots but it's empty. Next propellant does nothing. They activate and flame out but there is no message saying flame out. I'm assuming it's a mod interaction issue, so I'm going to try removing all mods except the dependencies for this and double check, however it's done this since 1.7.3 for me when I first installed KSP. (Late to the game I know). I would do a screenshot, but I have yet to figure out how....... lol.
  3. You're insanely awesome man. I'll be sitting here patiently while it takes you however long you need to get things done. I love your work, and I don't think i can play KSP now without Tweakscale as it is......... Even if just for the fact of making parts match size in some cases where things just look strange without rescaling something lmfao. When I first read the description of the mod before downloading it, I was thinking changing sizes would be handy just for aesthetics and potential aerodynamics, but when I saw it changes the tank values etc. I didn't hesitate to download it. Oh, one interesting note I do want to mention that I'm positive you're aware of already..... on many resized parts, things that should "clip" to the surface tend to sink in ever so slightly. Not quite as deep as to the original size, but deep enough to notice. MOSTLY I notice this when I'm putting science experiments on the exteriors of something like my rover after rescaling the rover m8. In fact that's where I first noticed it at all. Not so much a bug or an issue, just something I figured I'd toss your way.
  4. That went right over my head in some places lmao, but I got the gist of it. Thanks for explaining it all a bit more in depth! I think I'm happy with standard capacity and the like honestly lol. I love going into cockpit views to see the interior, and seeing it all weird would take some of the effect away I think. I see a lot of people using IVA mods that make the interiors look so much more realistic and useful, and I would love to get that going someday, but for now my install is all working perfectly, and I figured out (by reading back to what you said and what I did and all) what I was doing wrong getting that one mod to work. Now everything is playing well together. I've got a nice new save started up just because I made too many mistakes in my last career campaign, and want to maintain 100% or at least 99% reputation :P. Anyway, yeah my brain hurts so I'm heading off to bed now lmao. Thanks again for all your help!
  5. Lol, I'm going to play with that mod later and see if I can try to get it to behave. If so, I'm going to keep using it, but if not I won't be too upset. In a year or so I'm going to go back to college and learn programming, so if nothing else between now and then maybe I'll use reading over some code to learn a little. lmao
  6. Thanks! I thought I had looked through everything and somehow that one never registered to be a possible issue. I reinstalled it after fully wiping it out and it still gave me the same issue, so I'm just going to get rid of it. I was mistaken on my mod count, down to 64. And thankfully there are no more errors! I had backed up my save using S.A.V.E. so will be restoring it before testing to make sure that fixed the issue. I'm sad though, because there were a couple of really cool looking parts that I wanted to use from that mod. Not worth breaking things, however lmao. Now to figure out why my Interstellar Extended built vessel keeps randomly exploding and sending my kerbals into light speed directly into the sun.......... I know that's a heat and build issue (not mod issue) just got to figure out what I did wrong lmao.
  7. Fixed it lol. I was wondering what was going on. Also I saw somewhere I should include modmanager logs, so I included BOTH log files in that, as well as the ksp log itself. I tried reverting to previous versions of all mods, nothing. I use CKAN, I've been tempted to wipe my mods out from game data entirely and uninstall using ckan, then redownload them all (all 90) lmao Yeah, but my mind is still blown by you guys. lmfao. I only WISH I understood programming well enough to consider doing what you all do.
  8. You're only human! Thanks for the explanation, and for being so bold as to take the blame so quickly though, that's major props to you. I appreciate your work, VERY much!
  9. Done, using github. Thanks! I'm going to revert the version now and see if I can get the error to go away. Thank you so much! Will keep you informed.
  10. I just updated some mods that borked something. The community patches (not sure which is the culprit). I'm getting a fatal error message from Tweak Scale today that wasn't there last night thanks to it, and haven't loaded my save (already going through withdrawl) where should I upload my log file? I'm going to try reverting the mods to prior version in a bit as well but wish to upload the log first.
  11. There was an update with the near future tech parts that seemingly borked B9 part switch. After updating the mods on CKAN, and then reinstalling them, as well as B9 just to double check I still get a fatal error. What logs do you need, so I can send them? It's likely that it's not B9, but I figured you might wish to see it with your own eyes. lol
  12. I actually wish the clouds did that on mine sometimes.......... a foggy morning off the bay would be pleasant to load into once in a while, rather than the nearly always partly cloudy/ completely sunny blue from eve. Can't wait for this to get updated. lol
  13. I can confirm that it momentarily appears to be working in 1.8. I love it. Combined with eve, it really adds some depth to the atmosphere on Kerbal, and combined these with Scatterer, it looks even more amazing. I was running physics extender as well, which on a good system is a serious hog of resources............ but my machine was pulling almost 140 fps stable in most cases with all of it on ultra......... 2k ..... love it. The mod by itself at the moment is amazing, so seeing this level of excitement from the author has me quite intrigued. I'm a graphics lover. All games I play have to be able to look good, and this one has to look as close to real as I can possibly get it. Only, of course, because I can't stop staring at the expanse of the universe. It's the closest I'll likely ever get to being in space. Forget the game play, which is addictive and incredible, but the experience of being able to look around from outside a space ship and see this level of detail...................... the way the shadows increase in density over hills on Mun, in craters when it's almost sunset........... just that little detail alone has me looking at this game in a whole new way and I can't imagine playing without this mod now. I started playing just over a month ago. I JUST discovered this mod last week. My wife will be walking by and stop and ask if I'm watching another NASA documentary until I zoom in and she recognizes the Kerbals........ her jaw drops every time. I grew up dreaming of being an astronaut (who didn't?). I was accepted, and stupidly didn't attend Emery Riddle College (leading NASA programs for those who don't know) out of fear of the math. I suck at math. Anyhow, since then I've had a change in my life direction, and this is a pleasant reminder of past dreams. I had to share that here, because I think someone here may just feel the same way lol. That and it's late so I talk too much. Thanks for making this mod though, one way or another. I LOVE it.
  14. Well in real life, we can scale rockets to some degree. If they're looking for a real life challenge, they're miserably failing by calling TweakScale a cheat at all lmao. If they're purists then I'd expect then need to remove all mods. Anyway, it's not for me to say lol. In my opinion, if it weren't for the mods, the game would be seriously lacking. It's a great game, stock, and a lot of fun but it has so little content in terms of parts that it's almost sad. You can create them by splicing others etc. but.... I prefer the prettier looks and more realistic designs of some of the mods. I wanted to be an astronaut growing up. And I studied a great deal of astronomy. I was even accepted into Emry Riddle (but never attended). The point of me saying all of this is this is the closest I have come to the realization of a childhood dream. I will find myself lost drifting in the wait of a maneuver just staring at the stars and the planets. And in some cases loading into first person cockpit views (wish I could do that on EVA but am worried to try the mod). Tweakscale helps with that, giving an element of reality to the shuttle designs even just a small bit. Anyway, all of this is just to say thank you one last time lmao. I never feel like you mod authors get enough appreciation from us for what you do. I'm too broke to visit patreon pages most of the time or I would go that route.
  15. I think more along the lines that it's safer protocol to do it with a fresh install that is separated so save games don't get messed up. I at the least would back all saves up using S.A.V.E. but would probably think it best to adhere to lisias advice lol.
  16. Take your time. I would much rather you enjoy the modding and be willing to come back to do more than rush and make yourself hate it. lol. Or neglect your other needs/work lmao. I'm a computer repair guy so I understand the "I have to fix this NOW GRR" feeling all too well. lmfao
  17. I'm a willing guinea pig. I understand the lingo, simply don't know how to code, so if you need anything tested, just let me know. I'm good at troubleshooting and looking for specific details. There was a part I found in my list that the GUI is working on and I haven't been able to find it since noticing it. I don't think it was an antenna so back to looking for you! More heads are better than 1.
  18. Well, mine didn't do that..... but it no more than takes flight and instantly starts to loose control to the point it may as well be a bomb. I don't have a screenshot for it, because I got so mad I gave up and reverted to a prior save. lol
  19. Yeah, you should see how vast my list of mods has gotten with 1.8 having been such a major increase in game performance....... In fact as each mod is updated to fit, my processor is handling itself at ultra 2k with less and less issue, and I am able to maintain a stable (ish) 40 fps during launch on some of my more complex builds. Mods included. I don't know how you all have time to do this, and still live, but then I have put in 400 hours on KSP in a month, and still have time to be a (hopefully) very good dad lmao. Before I forget, and I'm sure this has been thought of already (may be a limitation). An improvement perhaps? Crew cabins, on rescale do not add crew capacity? I can see that more seating would probably be needed so it may not be possible. I just thought if you can increase fuel (but that one makes far more sense) maybe......? Anyhow, it's not a deal breaker in the slightest........ I rarely scale the crew cabins lmao.
  20. @Lisias Actually something interesting happens on my end. I have been stubborn, and refused to remove tweakscale. I'm no modder or coder, so I expected my save to bork (and followed the advise to use S.A.V.E.) I get the white box instead of the scale UI, but if I click on the left side of the white box, at the VERY edge, down just about half way, I can increase scale. Clicking above that, or anywhere else on the box and it decreases scale. Anyway, I read something that linuxgurugamer posted saying it's a broken aspect that is planned to be repaired in 1.8.1 release. So it may not be your mod at all, but a bug on their end. Regardless, I love your work. Thanks for your time and effort on all of this!
  21. I just dropped by to thank you for an amazing job on this mod. I've only been playing since 1.73, and about 2 months ago at that. I played for a week before I discovered mods. Then I found yours. I only wish I had the talent you all have, because these little hacks and tweaks you do make the game so much more enjoyable. Though I must say my poor i7 7700k is almost beyond it's limit as it is at times, and these mods sure make the fps low............. but then I am also a graphics person, so I refuse to turn down the specs... :P Thank you a million from all of us. :)
