  1. Ah my blood is still on fire from making this comment on that video: Okay, and what about the other guys? New Glenn was announced in 2013, Vulcan was announced in 2015 and Starship in 2016. Who has the most flights, hmm? Starship's first full flight (Starship and Superheavy booster) was a year ago on April 20th, 2023 and had 2 more since (written before IFT-4). Vulcan had a full flight on January 8, 2024 and New Glenn is still sitting on the LC-36. Don't get me wrong, SpaceX does stretch a lot of numbers, but at least they're doing something instead of diddling around with money like Blue Origin and ULA. The closest launch organization to SpaceX is China, FREKIN' CHINA. For the Human Landing System, National Team and Dynetics offered systems that carried less than 20 tons and more than double NASA's budget for a lander! SpaceX was the only one that fit NASA's budget of $3 billion dollars while also offering the most payload, at least 50 tons. Blue Origin cried and sued NASA, making Congress add 7 billion, just so they can afford 2 landers. Again, I'm fine with spanking SpaceX. However, when they're the only ones that are actually doing good, it's stupid. Here's a video that covers the 3 systems that NASA was considering:
  2. I'm guessing they stick the injectors to push the turbine and push the exhaust up. The exhaust then is ignited for the last time and goes down through the turbine again. This way the turbine is still cooled and could increase chamber pressure and thrust.
  3. Found an interesting article about a prototype engine called LEET-1337. https://www.nextbigfuture.com/2023/09/beyond-the-spacex-raptor-engine-is-the-breakthrough-spacex-leet-1337-engine.html TL;DR The LEET engine will be 1100 kg and has a thrust of 320 tons with a chamber pressure of 450. For comparison, Raptor 3 is 1400 kg, only 280 tons, and 400. Not sure how this is accomplished, but it was mentioned in Walter Isaascon's biography of Elon Musk that they were stripping as much weight as possible, maybe combining pumps with the injectors. A couple redditors think they might stick a turbine between the combustion chamber and the nozzle. Very interesting!
  4. Or you could wait for the sale on it... https://store.steampowered.com/app/273590/Descent_3/ As for me, I accidentally made my family and myself cry after watching the newest episode of Bluey that just came out on Disney +. We had a big move, from Florida to Alabama, after living there for 24 years, and all of the kids being born there, so it was pretty rough thinking about the chaos that could happen just before you're getting ready to leave it all behind.
  5. I think the only thing we have to worry about on this community, about breaking ITAR, is blueprints for the fuel pumps and guidance programming. Otherwise, we should be fine with classified information that shows that the TX-657 booster, used in the AGM-114 K2 "Hellfire" missile, has the same amount of thrust as the Castor I. In other words, we should add Hellfires to the game. It'll be a smaller version of the Mite booster.
  6. Here are the 3 teams and their submissions. In terms of looks, Intuitive Machines wins for me, it just looks so dang cool. It's more likely that Lunar Outpost could win for cargo.
  7. Hello! Um, I'm not sure about the full squad, but I'm pretty sure @HansonKerman might still be kicking around on the forums, let's see.
  8. When you realize KAC didn't work and now that mothership is doomed to go around Kerbol forever.
  9. This, but every little wood slab is actually a Starship.
  10. Okay, so I got rid of PBC and tried switching to QUARTRIX. Also tried switching Kerbalism to version 3.18 to see what happened, but no change. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1FKEROswbjmlwO39M0zRuB16iLstkB-OQ?usp=sharing Now I'm going back to 3.19, but probably no change.
  11. https://www.nasa.gov/foia/nasa-e-libraries/headquarters-foia-library/ Here's where you can find the videos. Just in case, search for Starship on the site.
  12. Yes, they show the launch up until a few seconds before staging, then restart after the explosion.
  13. Okay, put those files, plus the ModuleManager.ConfigSHA (just in case) in a folder. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ihjQ_z8pG3BZgk3ZNus--NuBv20HoUOr?usp=sharing
  14. That's great for you, however mine isn't and I would like help with that.
  15. Google Translate says the livestream's title says "Launch scheduled for 11:17 AM, no launch Private launch ticket "Kairo" launch schedule changed" So apparently it's a scrub? Translating a few comments in the live chat, some said that the winds above are getting a little high than wanted. Also people walking around on the pad, so probably a scrub.
  16. Some antennas are not working, it seems to be limited only to the antenna that don't need to be deployed like Communotron 16-S. Is there a reason for this happening?
  17. *silently picks up 4 stones and walks back up ramp* *tosses stones down ramp, hoping they roll* *walks to bottom of ramp* Rolling Stones!
  18. So my KSP save has started doing this, which is very strange. I reinstalled my mods to see if it was something to do with one of the mods, but that wasn't what happened. So I tried deleting the "settings.cfg" and it was a full window again. Has anyone run into this kind of bug before?
  19. Banned for somehow always knowing when Don't Click is open.
  20. Okay, it's just a faulty CKAN installation. Installing it manually works.
  21. Granted, you get a D20 that has one 20 side, but the rest are 1-3. 40 Nat 20s in a row does give you immortality. Enjoy some epic failures. I wish for BAZINGA
  22. Wish granted, check back here in 3 or 4 million years to see if anyone found them. I wish that ticketmaster would actually include the fees into the original cost.
  23. Granted, you now have Florida weather, and hurricanes teleport straight to Utah after finishing with the Southeast. I wish that Russian tanks would stop being so good in War Thunder.
