  1. I tried to get as much stuff into orbit with this new FAR-like aerodynamic model.I basically got used to the old pre-1.0 aerodynamics.
  2. It's was not suppost to make sense. That was the point.
  3. Congratulations, Torquimedes! A good story worth reading, and nice gallery and good pictures.Sorry i haven't put you on the leaderboard yet.I haven't been checking this thread in a while. You will be up in a minute. As for you, Bettris13, i need a video or photo proof of it.Look at Torquimedes for example .
  4. I have never used FAR, but i have used NEAR once. The thing is that i got used to the old stock aerodynamic model, now it's really hard for me to launch anything with this new FAR-like model. Can anyone give me some help, please? EDIT: Just wanted to say that using MechJeb makes it worse, my rockets flip out of control.
  5. moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooore hyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyypeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!
  6. Gooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Create a file with the name of your star and change it's extension to .cfg Then open your file with a basic text editor (Notepad or somethin'), then copy and paste this in: @Kopernicus { Body { name = Your star name flightGlobalsIndex = 4794 // delete this and type in any number but not too large. But if you will make a pack and release it, make sure this number does not conflict with other packs, make it unique. Template { name = Sun // leave this as it is } Properties { description = Description. //delete this and type in something about your star, this will appear in the Tracking Station info. geeASL = 1.746 // the star's gravity.Kerbol(The sun) is 1.746.If your star is larger than the in-game Sun, make it's gravity lower to be able to still fly in the Kerbol system. tidallyLocked = False // self-explanatory, assuming you know what tidal locking is... rotationPeriod = 115643 // the amount of time it takes your star to rotate once around it's axis. You must write it in seconds.1 day is 86400 seconds. initialRotation = 180 // don't know what this does, leave it timewarpAltitudeLimits = 0 8000 8000 25000 40000 80000 160000 250000 //time warp restrictions at certain altitudes, 1x, 5x, 10x, 50x, 100x, 1000x, 10000x, 100000x ScienceValues { } } Orbit { referenceBody = Sun // leave this as it is inclination = 0 // self-explanatory eccentricity = 0 // self-explanatory semiMajorAxis = 946052840000 // distance in meters from your the Sun to your star, note every real life light year is 10000x smaller in-game.This is 1 light year in-game longitudeOfAscendingNode = 0 // change this unless you know what you are doing, but i recommend you leave it at 0 argumentOfPeriapsis = 0 // change this unless you know what you are doing, but i recommend you leave it at 0 meanAnomalyAtEpoch = 0 // I don't really know what this does, i usually set it to 3.14, but the decision is up to you, but i think it's best you leave it at 0. epoch = 0 // don't know what this does, leave it. color = 0.910,0.761,0.278,0.525 // the orbit line color in-game, RGBA colors. } } } Now run the game and go to the tracking station.Zoom out until you see your star's orbit.Focus on it and open the Kittopia menu by pressing Ctrl+P. Select your star's name under 'Planet Selection'.Once you did, scroll down and click the 'Modify Starlight Data' button.Once you did, below click the button 'Add Starfix To:' Once you did, you will have 4 options: Flare Color, Light Color, Emit Color and Spot Color. Flare color determines the color of the light your star will emit.Light color is practically the same option as flare color, don't touch it. Emit color determines the color of the star itself. And spot color determines the color of the star's surface and the color of it's sunspots, however, the sunspots will remain black and unchangeable. If you click on every option, you will see 4 sliders on each option. Now here you can have fun.Moving these sliders changes the colors of you star, play around with all 3 options until you are satisfied.Once you are, click 'Save Data' in the kittopia menu. Anyways, glad you asked xfrankie! I hope this little tutorial helped you.
  8. AstroGamer, i was talking to Astrofox about the orbit.
  9. I updated the tutorial, AstroGamer, read the bottom section. Read sdj64's tutorial, he explains you a lot more than me, even how to create oceanic planets and gas giants. Read it here. - - - Updated - - - Set the eccentricity lower and lower the semi-major axis. And a suggestion Astrofox, change your template to Gilly if you are doing a comet or an asteroid.
  10. I just loaded up KSP. I have 4 mods installed: B9 Aerospace, Active Texture Managment, BDArmory and Trajectories. I went into my sandbox save that i played not more than a week ago. I got into the SPH and built a plane and launched it. I turned on SAS and engines but the plane didn't move. I disabled the brakes which i had turned on (no kidding) and it suddely spiraled out of control and exploded on the Runway. I tried to revert the flight, but there was no "Revert to launch" or "Revert to SPH" button, just cluttered up text. Then the game froze and i closed it, then opened the game again. I went into the same sandbox save, but this time, i couldn't enter ANY buildings that were available in Sandbox mode. (i know that buildings such as the Administration building, Mission control etc. were locked by default in Sandbox mode). What's even weirder is that i couldn't time warp and i couldn't go back to the main menu (well basically it froze again, and then again and again and again and i repeated the same process(close and open the game again)). I need help, has this ever happend to you people before and did you solve it? If so, tell me why this happens and how to solve this.
  11. Thank you all! I am really glad to meet and have awesome people like you! In general, thanks.
  12. Great suggestion! Just got to get SE working. Oh, it's midnight here at my place.Gotta go to sleep and see you next day.Wait it is already next day, ha! Catch you in the morning! And BTW a bit off-topic, Thomas and _Augustus_, i suggest you read this, describes thoroughly the true me.
  13. I know this would belong to the "Welcome Aboard" sub-forum, altough i've been on the forum for a year now, but hey, let me introduce my self! My actual name is Marko/Mark. I first found out about KSP through Scott Manley and all other Youtubers. Back in my real life, i'm an average student, i never failed anything. I am a cellist and i am attending cello classes for a few years now and i am getting better each day that goes. I am a really good artist, i can draw/paint really good. It's just my hobby.I'm the best one in my class, if not my entire school. I am a slow thinker.Just bear with me, it takes me time to solve things. Personally, i am a shy person.I don't like to fight, but if i have to, i just counter with a bad word or one punch. I live in Pula, Croatia. So that means if here at my place is for example 1 PM, back in America, it is 4-7 AM, so yeah, consider that. I also like anime, i just got into it not a whole lot ago, mainly into SnK/AoT. A bit more on KSP, i've played it a lot, and quite literally, a lot.Let's say it's kind of my obsession, sort of.I was initially afraid to sign up on this forum, because i thought i was going to do something wrong and get rejected. But me as a Croatian, i always thought Americans were weird and such, but i met some really wonderful people(that is you, of course) and that proves my "Americans are weird and rude" statement wrong. The whole final point of this is, so is anyone like me out there in the forum, maybe we could be friends through KSP? I am always open.
  14. The list of my top 5 KSP players on Youtube: -------------------------------------------------- 1. Scott Manley 2. Robbaz 3. Jacksepticeye 4. Danny2462 5. SWDennis -------------------------------------------------- And BTW for all you Robbaz fans except me, do you remember his old/new crafts such as: BALDR, VSP Midgärd, VSP Asgärd and the Jötunheimr? If so, which one was your favourite?
  15. I come to my class one day.I ask my friend that is sitting next to me "Is the Sun a planet or a star?" Of course i knew the answer, i just wondered if he would know, but he wasn't eager to learn anything new. Anyways, he replied to me "A planet, of course!". That moment i facepalmed my self. For the rest of the fourth period, it tried to at least convince him, but his big ignorance got in the way.I even told him all the facts i could possibly find, but he thought all of that to be a big lie.Him being a religious person, he also believed the theory that "the Sun will die in 4-5 billion years" is all just bolony as well. But of course, he didn't have a clue on how stars form and die. Seriously, everything i say that supports the fact that the Sun is a star, he just ignores me totally, even laughs at me histerically.
  16. Thomas, can i somehow remove that solar magnetic field around Kerbol (the yellow stuff around it)?
  17. Open your image with GIMP.Go to Windows > Dockable Dialogs > Layers. You will see a small window that includes opacity. Now drag the blue bar down to 50.
  18. Gravitasi, it's been a month since the last update! Please release 0.122 or 0.13 (which ever version is next). I'm getting so impatient!
