  1. I understand that what I will say may cause some personality types to react as if I am intending to incite them. But I am simply only playing the game the way I like to play the game. I prefer ballistic approaches to other bodies in space. I never learned how to do maneuvers. I don't use them. Every rocket so far has always been manually controlled for the entire flight by my keyboard. This is how I began teaching myself to play the game because the launch base is on the equator. This is how I like to play. I found that flying tourists to 70,000 m and landing safely with parachutes is a quick way to build a mountain of money. So that is all I did until all my facilities were fully upgraded and I had all the money I wanted. If I ever went into orbit around Kerbin, then the tourists would want to orbit. Instead I used the same 30 passenger vehicle repeatedly. Each flight only costs me the fuel. And the money is jackpot money. It gets boring. So I wanted to take tourists to the Mun and back without orbiting Mun and without orbiting Kerbin because then tourists would want the orbits. I landed on the Mun and returned safely never entering any orbit. But then the tourists wanted orbits anyway. Now my jackpotting the game is over. Why go into orbit to land on the Mun when the Mun is already orbiting me? On the equator with my launch pad, no less! Well, because the game has no clock to set the time of day for your launch time. No problem. I straight up launched my six identical 80 million meter relays one hour intervals after the first launch. As long as they get past everything without entering other spheres of gravity, then they arrive in order they were launched. I sent them into orbit one at a time in order as each ran out of acceleration and began descent. At that distance it happens so slowly that it easy to catch then all. Hard to screw up. I know what I will hear if I explain why. I've seen reactions on other forums asking if it is possible to target the sun. Many responses are aggressively attacking the premise of why you would want to target the sun. Many responses I have read are angry people who write as if they are furious at the poster for even thinking to target the sun. LOL So, I won't explain why I want to target the sun. And I won't explain the easy cheat I built with relays that works just as good as a clock. But no clock means no launches at midnight and no launches at noon and no launches at sunrise or sunset. I think you can't target the sun because that would give you a clock that you can use to time launches. And it seems to me the intent could be deliberately cornering the players into not using clocks. Why do I have to build my own clock for a game that calls "Mystery Goo" science? I think clocks would be very interesting in this game. At the very least, Kerbal time would be useful.
  2. This is the most idiotic and most polarizing fight I ever started. I'm way too proud of myself.
  3. I am not trying to kick a dead horse but it is too funny to leave it unsaid. I am just having fun. I can see what you are saying up until I learned Mg on the periodic table of elements stands for Magnesium and it doesn't stand for Mystery Goo. Somebody once asked what would be the point. I came up with an idea. The point could be to make a rocket that carries passengers so high that they can actually land in Heaven and see God. That's one possibility.
  4. Wow. You do realize it is a fictional game about little green men. Right? Just making sure.
  5. I got the idea from listening to Kitboga and his scam baiting scripts on YouTube and Twitch. In our case, it has already been introduced because I want my kid to understand scammers will be calling when she someday gets her own phone. She gets it easier than you think. Also, if we are worried about what is introduced to children then I would be more concerned about what else they are doing when they are not playing Kerbals. I would use it to reign in and slightly guide attention back in a better focus. My wife is a teacher and thanks to covid she does virtual meetings at home where I am hearing for the first time what these meetings are like and what is being prioritized by the district to be implemented into schools. I think if we are putting ourselves into position where we are responsible for what is introduced to kids then we might want to make ourselves more curious to hear what the village is prioritizing.
  6. Where you get eaten alive by Kardashian sisters. Damn. I can't stop it now. It got in my head and is making me krazy
  7. Good lord. I am not finding myself posting on a Kardashian website? Please say I am not at a Kardashian forum.... pleeeeaaasssseee
  8. Okay. I was thinking it would be good for kids because it can introduce game concepts in a way that sets them up to play after they get older. And I think it can be very funny, mocking flat earth theories. It already is a funny game. There is humor already in the current version. Flat Kerbin could explore the ridiculousness and build jokes into the game. Plus... you gotta admit... somebody had to ask. This question cannot go unaddressed. It is a very good and very stupid but still a very good question.
  9. Another point. Kids like to buy and trade "rare" items. They like some kind of economy. They like their friends online in their world. But they like doing chores in real life to earn gift cards that can be redeemed in the game.
  10. I can be very impressed with myself when I manage to convince somebody that I must honestly believe the world is flat. I think it can be very funny when it is done right. I bought the game for my kid to keep her occupied over the summer instead of the nonsense she would rather play. But this game is too hard at that age. A flat Kerbin version could be very funny and could also be a light version that makes it easier to learn playing. Besides, if you can sell KSP then those same customers would be very tempted to buy the flat earth version. It could be really very funny.
