  1. What? You don't need 100% reputation to "complete" career mode?
  2. Let me try to explain the purpose of that requirement. The 30km/s can be achieved by putting together two PB-X750 tanks with a Dawn, a (light) solar panel and a command chair, that's supposed to be a minimum payload to orbit, the reason I put it in terms of km/s instead of specifying a payload was to let some flexibility for those who wanted to try it, but I see I just created confusion, the intention is: a payload for deep space exploration which is also recoverable.
  3. May reaching space be cheap by only using the most efficient engines? I would like to rank the best ideas based on mission cost for this task, rules are: IX-6315 "Dawn" Electric Propulsion System and J-X4 "Whiplash" Turbo Ramjet Engine only, RCS may be used if your idea requires rendezvous Fully reusable, the entire ship must land on Kerbin, may only consume fuel, decouplers and fairings, do not need to be SSTO but all parts must be recovered Must reach LKO with a Kerbal onboard and 30km/s delta-v left
  4. Usually I complete mission with probes fist, I only send kerbals if required and after I knoew the mission will succeed, so, I don't care about failures, a probe crash costs nothing. Except when I am trying new rocket/spaceplane desing, in this case, I revert launch.
  5. We design such junk mostly because of the weird aerodynamics... KSP aerodynamics is frustrating in several ways, my personal worst experience in KSP was when I unlocked Mk2 parts for the first time, he description said: Which is a terrible lie, I feel myself compelled to fill a bug about Mk2 parts, if I had been warned before, if at least the description was like: And then I unlocked Mk3 parts, which are about as bad as Mk2, I was expeting it this time.
  6. It's a fun game with a few caveats, the aerodynamic model is the most annoying for sure. Am I the only one to be annoyed by it?
