  2. Can someone attach their working zip/rar file for this plugin, or direct me to a working link? I\'ve searched & searched.. can\'t find one. I\'ve been craving this plugin for quite some time.. The file is corrupt for me (using several different comps & programs). Thanks in advance
  3. Thanks for the reply Zephram Kerman. After reading, I think I have an idea of what it is.. possibly 2 things: 1) \'spacers\' between some of the \'pods\' and 2) possibly different \'pod\' lengths may not \'properly\' reach. I will take a look at it later on tonight & rebuild it. I\'m guessing \'those\' could be the cause of the \'infiite & amplified oscillations\', which I did notice before it blew up (ie, spun & tumbled faster & faster until.. BOOM). I can\'t wait to see when they implement the weight, TWR, etc etc into the VAB. Hopefully they\'ll also show some type of \'high stress\' areas as well.
  4. Just to clarify, I *DID* do a search on this and have used it before in the past with smaller 'space stations' & modified the file for an instant orbit. The topics seemed to be un-accessible to me and in fear of reviving an old thread, I didn\'t want to run the risk of being banned/beat up. But it appears when I use a \'pretty large\' 'Space Station' that I have created, it ALWAYS tumbles then explodes onto itself (very LOW FPS, obviously). I have managed to get a much smaller version (basically the middle section) into instant orbit, no problems. Here is my SS I\'m trying to put into orbit: I wasn\'t able to get a reliable screenshot after it blew up (onto itself), but there was quite a few dozen debris items floating around afterwords (normal FPS). Maybe you guys would know better than I would but *I\'m* thinking that maybe its a combination of a mod issue along with too many parts combined. I\'m not sure, that\'s why I\'m asking the experts. Any help/ideas would be appreciated.
  5. It all just comes with time/experience really. The more you learn & understand.. the better your designs will be. Not that I\'m an expert by any means (I\'m still a noob), but ya know what I mean.
  6. VERY addictive. I\'m not even on week #2 and I stay up late playing this game/sim. This should help you on designs, it helped me a lot: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=6409.0. ESPECIALLY the 'Kosmo Zero Mk6' by Kosmo-not. You\'ll be bedazzled.
  7. I just tested this on my own rocket (I noticed the same RCS usage as you described) and I removed ALL RCS tanks & replaced them (and of course made sure they were in the right stage). It used the RCS\'s from bottom up to the top (as it should, per stage) as E. F. Kranz has done, so I can confirm it. I will be testing it again shortly.... *edit* Confirmed again.. uses bottom RCS stages, then the uppers.
  8. Yes, I prefer game-play over graphics (to an extent). That\'s the same reason why I like KSP also, probably as \'realistic\' as it gets for now. I like having to \'think\' to play and \'learn\' from my mishaps/mistakes, not just point & click.
  9. Never heard of FIMFiction, nope. And thanks! I finally got my rocket to the moon (with tweaks) but I need to practice on my Munar landings & get back to Kerbin before I post it. ;D

  12. Just saying 'Hi' to everyone. I\'ve been playing for about a week now, while watching the forums. I\'ve gotten to the moon & landed, but haven\'t made it back to Kearth just yet. Hopefully I\'ll have my \'latest & greatest\' rocket finished & completed a full run soon. Just need to finish tweaking it. I\'ll post the details when I\'ve had a successful run.
  13. That\'s funny as I played EvE (years ago). A friend of mine has started to play KSP w/ me lately (also an ex-EvE player), and he said to me 'Imagine if EvE was precise like this, that\'d change a lot.' I said 'Yeah, but they\'d never do that, plus this game is better IMO.' ;D
